The dude never uttered anything negative about Kibaki but is rediculously contemptious of PM &ODM. In summary: 1.Anyone but not Raila will be prezo. 2.He didnt know Jeremy Corsi was criminal. His bk is being published in UK not US. 3.He has political ambitions & will soon announce the post he is eyeing. 4.Redicules the PM's doctorate degree award & wardrobe. 5.Believes Midiwo shld be prosecuted for saying PM's life in danger. 6.Believes Mudavadi cld be the next President. 7.Discounts earlier excerpts of his book as fake. 8.Will soon publicly endorse his preffered candidate. 7.When pressed, says Ruto & Uhuru should not run.

2.He didnt know Jeremy Corsi was criminal. His bk is being published in UK not US. He didn't know, eh? That is definitely very funny. The second part shows that he is trying to distance himself but makes one wonder what sort of lawyer he is. For those who don't know, a libel case in the UK is not a very good idea; just Google "libel tourism" and "libel shopping", or look at articles such as as this: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8379196/New-rules-to-discourage-libel-tourism-in-Britain.htmlwww.centerforinquiry.net/blogs/entry/uk_to_consider_reform_of_science-stifling_libel_laws/The UK government has been trying to change the laws, but basically here is how they work: if you publish anything that would be deemed libelous in the UK, and it can be shown that someone in the UK has read it, then you can be sued for libel in the UK. It doesn't even matter where you published your stuff. So even with publishing in the USA, Miguna could have been sued in the UK. And that's not the half of it. First, in UK libel cases, it is up to the accused to prove innocence, not for the accuser to prove guilt. Second, even if innocent, defending oneself against such a lawsuit is not cheap in the UK: it's basically a starter of about 50,000 to 100,000 pounds just to get lawyers to even do a basic dance in court. And Miguna is not even bothering with the "it was all overseas" defense; he's marching straight into the lion's den. Either Miguna has some hot and true stuff, or he is a mug with a lot of money to burn. Or the current efforts to change the laws will bear fruit before Raila & Co wake up. Time will tell.

Miguna has a right to his views. We in Jukwaa also have a right to our views. And my view is that Miguna is a 'has been'. It is ignorant and silly for him to assert that Raila cannot be elected president when it is common knowledge that Raila is the man to beat in the forthcoming general elections. Miguna himself has never passed any electoral test anywhere and my hunch is that he will not pass any time soon. I still wonder why a legal practioneer like Miguna would opt to write a book about corruption instead of gathering his evidence and presenting it to relevant authorities. One wonders why he chooses a route that is unlikely to have any impact on the war against corruption. Is it because the book offers financial returns? Or is it because he has no substantive evidence? Miguna can only dream to be classified as an anti-corruption champion like one John Githongo. He is the exact opposite of what Githongo is. It's good to hear confirmation that Miguna will once again be vying for a political seat in the coming elections. We wait and find out exactly what Miguna is made of then.

Hey!! Leave Miguna alone. One can see he is representing his masters, I WONDER HOW MUCH THEY ARE paying him Big time $$$$$ where else did Kenyans here the words that "RAILA WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF KENYA" most Kenyans will remember clearly before & during the 2007-2008 elections those words were repeated loudly and clearly even here on Jukwaa blog post... YES MIGUNA IS SPEAKING FOR HIS MASTERS WHO CAN'T SAY IT OUT LOUD TO THE PUBLIC.. AS FOR NOT KNOWING THAT CORSI WAS A CRIMINAL BEFORE DECIDING TO GET IN BED WITH HIM TO TARNISH THE PM'S NAME.. THAT IS A LAUGH!! WHAT KIND OF LAWYER IS MIGUNA? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE USUAL DUE-DILIGENCE BEFORE ACTING? MAYBE THE PEOPLE MIGUNA HANGS AROUND WITH CAN BE FOOLED EASILY BUT FROM WHERE I'M STANDING KENYANS ARE TOO SMART TO BE FOOLED.. NOW... CAN SOMEONE DO SOME BACKGROUND ON MIGUNA ? IN REGARDS TO ALL THOSE RUMOURS IN CANADA? WHERE THERE IS SMOKE FIRE FOLLOWS.. THERE MUST BE SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO CAN SPEAK UP "REMOVE THE LOG FROM YOUR OWN EYES FIRST BEFORE POINTING OUT TO OTHER PEOPLE....... Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi’s departure from ODM to the United Democratic Front party can, politically speaking, be described as his ultimate political rebirth. However, who was behind the aura of confidence exhibited by the emboldened Sabatia MP of late? Mr Mudavadi’s deal to join UDF was sealed surprisingly quickly, there was no time for public speculation. Prior to Mr Mudavadi’s announcement, he met the senior operative at least twice — at his Kileleshwa home in Nairobi and at his rural home in Mululu, Vihiga County. During Mr Mudavadi’s visit to Rift Valley, where he said he had gone to consult, he lent his ear to well known Kanu loyalists. He went ahead to ask for support from the Luhya community as “we in the Rift Valley will fully support him.” In the meetings, Mr Mudavadi was referred to as lakwet nyo (our child). Instructively, Mr Mudavadi’s step mother comes from the Kalenjin community. The DPM capped his Rift Valley forays by visiting former Mr Moi at his Kabarak home in Nakuru. The three men are not new to each other. Musalia’s father, Moses Mudavadi, a career educationist in the 1950s, was a close friend of Mr Moi. And many years later in 2002, Mr Moi would craft his succession with Mr Mudavadi as his Vice-President and eventually a running mate of his preferred candidate, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta. Mr Too was a key strategist in the Moi succession plot. Curiously, Kanu was “heavily represented” at Mr Mudavadi’s defection event this week with secretary general Nick Salat one of the notable guests together with a horde of overly excited Kanu stalwarts. MUDAVADI BEING PUSHED TO BE NEXT PREZO...IS TO BE USED TO PROTECT THE FUTURE INTERESTS OF MOI, KIBAKI, UHURU ... I GUESS THEIR LOOT! IN FUTURE.. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE LUHYA'S WINNING THE PRESIDENCY.. SINCE HE WILL BE CONTROLLED BY KIBAKI, MOI, UHURU .. ;D ;D b]

Folks,A few things. First of all I want to congratulate Miguna for abandoning his dealings with Jerome Corsi, the racist criminal punk. I only wish Miguna would have been more truthful about what happened. It is false for Miguna to claim that it was just bloggers and newspapers that linked him to Jerome Corsi. That is simply not true. Miguna actually sent a rejoinder to the thread below (page 2) trying to justify why he should work with Jerome Corsi. He talked about how Martin Luther King and even Nelson Mandela were published by extremists of one kind or another. That is in black and white right here in Jukwaa. Nobody made that up. I was personally furious about Miguna associating and working with Jerome Corsi. You just don't do stuff like that and still call yourself a progressive activist against injustices in all their forms. I am glad Miguna realised the blunder he was making and changed course. That is a good thing. I will talk about the other stuff later. I have to run. I think Miguna had a nice and lively TV interview. He is entitled to his views and opinions just like the rest of us. But he has to be truthful just like he demands of others. My only quick comment is that at some point Miguna will have to outgrow the obsession with Raila, his former boss. Our country is bigger than Raila. Of that I am sure. Kenyans are out there fighting everyday. They are taking the government to court on breaches of the constitution and winning big victories for the nation. Mwalimu Mati just took the case of M.Ps illegally giving themselves gratuity benefits in millions for each. The police reform battle is on and in court as we speak. Miguna has been a very big part of these battles. I know that because I worked with him very closely on the same. The foot soldiers are working tirelessly against all injustices. That is where the real battle for the country is not in the grand endorsement of presidential candidates by individuals who have never won any elective position at all. We have to be serious about this battle because it did not start with us and will certainly not end with us. But here is the Jerome Corsi thunderstorm which happened right here in Jukwaa. I am the one who started that thread because I could not fathom the thought a progressive Kenyan working with a die hard racist who has actually been thrown out of our country. And Miguna now says he didn't know all that. Really? Here we go: jukwaa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=6636&page=1

We can read btwn the lines. Just discuss the issues and ignore the personal differences. I personally cannot see any "personal differences" raised by anyone anywhere in this thread. Let's hear about the issues. We are all ears. As usual.

; Hahaha ;D Wrath has no fury like a jilted woman! Now before admin lands on me let me explain that this is a saying and I am by no means being a chauvinist or disrespectful to women. Neither do I imply that MM is a woman. But I could not get appropriate word (s) to describe what I just watched. PM being gowned on arrival at the airport is ushamba, but please Ja Nyando- let RAO be- that is the village in him. I was waiting for MM to tell us how many degrees he has! Jokes aside -It is obvious that MM is deeply hurt by the boot he got from RAO and like a jilted partner is psychologically affected by the sack. The transformation from Raila lover to Raila phobia, a truly thin line between love and hate has clearly negatively affected MM. The effect could be permanent if the obsession is not addressed. Depression could follow- especially when your use is over and TV stations and all those journalists stop picking up your calls or RAO wins the presidency. Pinning all your hopes on RAO's pain could just be disastrous. Ja nyando needs friends who care for him to advise him to seek help. Watching MM going on like this is painful-unfortunately, the other side keeps egging him on to the detriment of his personal good. Is the adviser to the PM the only Job MM could aspire for in Kenya? Why is he wasting himself on non issues on national TV. Is he being paid for the TV appearances? By who? How many times was he on TV while adviser to PM compared to after the sack? Ja Nyando, next time you are on TV, please explain to Kenyans who should be president based on what qualities and attributes- dont bore people with your RAO ranting. It is silly. Senti 5

For God’s sake it is just an honorary degree, Kibaki has 3 and Mandela almost 30. Have you seen them wear gowns when they come. Where have you seen a Prime Minister of a country wear a gown at the airport.. [/b]”[/blockquote] I'm not sure about other statements but this one here is a true statement. We need to be bold enough to call out our leaders when they do stuff like this. The last time I checked, Agwambo is also made up of flesh, blood and bones.

There is a reason why Raila Odinga has been elected several times as MP of a cosmopolitan constituency and once as president of Kenya.
There is a reason why Miguna will NEVER be elected as a village headman by members of his extended family in water-logged Nyando. Miguna will never be councillor, MP, Senator or Governor anywhere in Kenya. How could a super genius like Miguna garner only an embarrassingly few votes in a primary for Nyando constituency? Puzzle?
The reason is really simple: Raila understand the psychology of the common Mwananchi. Many, including Miguna and three-thirds of Jukwaa will NEVER understand this.
Watching Miguna in a crowded place the other day, I realised that Kenyans use him for entertainment. They like his accent. They wonder about his double name and strange fez. They find his mien and arrogance intriguing. His only subject - Raila, the enigma - guarantees him viewer-ship and listener-ship. But they do not take him seriously. With this realisation, I am happy for Miguna to be on telly everyday. We need comic relief. What with the economic pains we all bear?
