The LUO Council of Elders congratulates UHURU / RUTO and says RAILA is obsessed with POWER Monday March 11, 2013 - News just in indicates that Luo Council of Elders and Luo professionals have congratulated President–elect Uhuru Kenyatta for winning the last Monday’s poll. In a statement read by Party of Action (POA) party leader Minister Raphael Tuju, the elders who had gathered at a Nairobi hotel, said they have confidence that Uhuru Kenyatta will deliver the country from dogmas of corruption and tribalism which have ruined the country for the past 50 years. Tuju said Kenyans have spoken and any leader (referring to Raila), who is challenging the outcome, must be a leader who is obsessed with leadership which Kenyans have denied him chance. “Kenyans spoke last Monday in a free and fair poll. In any election there must be a winner and a loser, Kenyans have decided to move forward,” Tuju said. He also thanked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for conducting a free and fair election, thanking the officials for the job well done. Among those who attended the meeting is former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s adviser Miguna Miguna. www.kenyan-post.com/2013/03/the-luo-council-of-elders-congratulates.html

In other words I hope this is the event of a real Council of Elders. I would have been surprised if this did not take place because I have lived long enough to remember that such tactics characterised Kenyatta and Moi regimes where delegations were shepherded to Gatundu and Kabarak to pledge loyalty on behalf of their communities. The presence of Tuju and MM is instructive of the nature of such delegations and the content of the message that they are intended to convey. Expect such delegations from coast, kamba, RV, etc. The purpose of such delegations is to psyche the country to believe that all was well with the election and that Kenyans have accepted the verdict and moved on. It is the same script you see among some of the bloggers to the effect that we should all move on. If the likes of Matiba, Rubia, Muite, Raila, Imanyara, etc had listened to such narratives and succumbed to such fake pronouncements believing that they were bound to fail, we would still be living under one-party dictatorship. Had Raila accepted to go along with Kibaki in his judicial appointments because he feared condemnation from status quo apologists-- we would not be having the judiciary that many hold in high esteem. MM and Tuju "council of elders" and its likes must be respected and appreciated for what they are. There are many such pronouncements lined up for this and next week. They are all wished well.

One group of Luo elders had visited far-off Libya and signed an agreement which declared even fake Luos like myself subjects of the King of Kings, Moamar Qaddafi! No, I wanted to know first if the colonel could fund the turning of the whole of KANO planes, all the way from Sondu to Kericho to Muhoroni encompassing Winam, into a polder landscape as agriculturally productive as those of Denmark or the famous Netherlands. For this I was ready to be a subject of the oil-rich Libyan! Unfortunately the Libyans were only looking for Africans to be bought alcohol and some Dubai ramshackle! ---Bast-ard! So I did not do an Otishotish!============== NB: DID YOU say elders bandia? Sad and repugnant but that's what happens when poverty and greed collide with low self esteem, everything is put up for sale!! (Jakaswanga would argue its pragmatism)

However the history between the "dark forces" & the "progressives" (aka reformers) dealings in KE tells a very different story, so I personally prefer to err on the side of precedent. Karl Rove, who Dubyah fondly referred to as "The Architect", once said: "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."I always get the impression that the players we now call CORD are always reacting to realities created by the players we used to call PNU. I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. This time they have an election that has been deemed free & fair by the EU & other international observers. The rantings in the wilderness of a power hungry demagogue will be drowned out by the voice of reason whether it will be done publicly (in the courts) or privately through his former friends from Davos via Skype.... As I said earlier, every day that goes by strengthens the Jubilee axis & with equal measure weakens or erodes CORD's standing. In other words, wake up & smell the coffee, oyominto unless, that is, you prefer to keep on studying the harsh realities of life....

The only thing I am happy to tell you is Karl Rove is one person I have never given even half the credit everyone gave him as a political genius; he is not. I have lived in America long enough to know the American psyche is so easy to manipulate and influence one can literally prop up a mannequin and say it's zinjathropus and nearly all of them save for the least unwary would believe. You have your proposition about who is reacting to what upside down but I'll give you this much: as in any game, there are times one side has the better of the other but not always at least in an equally or nearly equally matched competitive league. If need be, I could tell you precisely where one side has had a better of the other and how or more relevantly where I know the other side has had a better of us but no need to do so here but it's never a neither or proposition as you clearly seem to believe it is. It's not. We shall have the last laugh and that's all that really matters. I have said all there is to say from this end on this thread.

Does this ring a bell? Hint: Fatty Benshooter of another Extra-Terrestrial court? Kamale, wonders never cease. I have heard incredible stories from CORDed friends of audio actual recordings of Kimemia looking for just one million more votes & the scrawny Gichanga flooring the stocky Oswago & stepping on his neck while commanding him to kowtow. These guys actually believe this stuff! Why don't they simply produce the "evidence" they have in court & see if it's admissible? As for Safaricom, my understanding of their data (be it SMS texts or what have you) is one would have to secure a court order to have them produce that stuff. One cannot demand they do so at the press gallery. I don't think they keep recordings of audio though. So why don't they ask the courts to do this for them as well? CORD are playing politics as usual with the whole petition saga. Sigh.....

Omwenga if we were to extract your predictions for this election your failure rate on the predictions would be at 90% Nowayhaha, I stand by all my analysis and predictions. It is not surprising that you have accepted the cooked numbers announced by IEBC the rest of us say those numbers are bogus and thus the reason Raila and his team and busy preparing to file a petition before the Supreme Court which no doubt will nullify the bogus results you're gleefully celebrating. This is the new Kenya we have always wanted where the rule of law is respected not the rule of crooks cooking numbers at the shamelessly compromised IEBC and its predecessors. That IEBC is compromised is something I raised more than a year ago and now a bit miffed at some people on my side who later assured me it was okay when it clearly has not been okay. Just a few days ago, I was told about a plot within IEBC occurring six months ago which apparently a number of people knew about but did nothing about and that is directly linked to some of what happened in the failures of the electronic system. The only saving grace is this will be among the massive evidence compiled to show has haplessly the system was compromised such that it's outcome cannot be relied upon by anyone. Nothing short of a run-off will cure this and am confident that's what the Supreme Court will order.

Omwenga, I look forward to being proven wrong. In other words, wake up & smell the coffee, oyominto unless, that is, you prefer to keep on studying the harsh realities of life.... b6k, We are now into that area I am sure you don't care to go to and that's spinning wheels and repeating ourselves. Omwenga, you may say what you like about Karl Rove but at least he managed to get his man elected....twice. That is twice more than the Raila Secretariat, which if we are to believe your blogs enjoys your services on an advisory capacity, has managed in the last 11 years. What you claim about the American psyche can actually be extrapolated to any human population, including right here in KE. In short, CORD's message never resonated beyond its core support & those who have had Kikuyu fatigue. It's probably high time to (a) change the messenger (read flagbearer) & (b) tweak the message. I will grant you a bye until your petition is successfully filed. Shalom....

How could you have missed that? Check this out www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000026474&pageNo=1www.zimeye.org/?p=25880The elders went, complete with one, kamlesh pattni as their leader, to crown Gaddafi as king of Africa. Sad and repugnant but that's what happens when poverty and greed collide with low self esteem, everything is put up for sale!! (Jakaswanga would argue its pragmatism) Fahari! Would I? please stop giving me a bad name!? is that really what I would argue? yawa! What I argued then was: begging, international begging, should be liberalised, made a free for all, and cease to be a monopoly of African NGOs, African presidents, their PMs, ministers of finance, tourism, and whatever have you. Any co-operative, like Luo elders, or self-help group lke Universtity students Koinange street hookers union, must be free to get around the globe with their begging bowls. Call that pragmatism if you want, I call it anti-monopoly market activism! Listen, you know me I do not see the difference between Raila's begging trip to Israel, and the Luo elders begging trip to Libya. What I argue against, is the assumed superiority of one form of begging over the other! --I always beg for dates from women on my knees! begging is not really a moral issue to me! Instead of paying for I forget what! I prefer to beg for it! My brother b6k is of course high-minded and principled. He pays for all services rendered. A honourable man he is! ;D ;D ;D

I am not in a position to defame your good character, seeing we are not even on speaking terms! ;D But trusting on your skill at humour, linguistic versatility and plain street-wise mischief, I thought I could pull your leg without you immediately threatening to bring the roof down if OO does not indulge his blood-thirst with me serving as the unfortunate remains! ---I am a bit careful these days, after Einstein threatened to turn himself into a suicide bomber and blow Jukwaaists to bloody pieces if I stepped on his tail one more time! ;D But you, I am sure you, your boiling point is so high, no amount of vile poking --the type you unhinged otishotish with, would make you explode and jam-lock your keyboards with stickiness! [quoting you verbatim!] ;D
