The line up of the Cabinet Secretaries nominees clearly shows how the 2 politicians regard Coasterians . By appointing one Balala(who deserves it by virtue of his past performance record and campaigning for Jubilee ) who in fact hails from Kakamega it therefore goes to show that Coast has been locked out in the Cabinet . What is really puzzling is that other regions which brought less votes to Jubilee or so speaking voted for the opponents CORD/ODM , Amani have been rewarded with posts.
Lets break it down using the numbers Jubilee got from the regions in the just concluded elections

Coast Province delivered 158,083 votes to Jubilee --> Cabinet Slot --> none -->Balala (hails from Kakamega )
Luo Nyanza delivered 32,294 votes to Jubilee --> Cabinet Slot --> one --> Omamo
Western delivered 66,185 votes to jubilee -->Cabinet slot --> One -->Wakhungu
Kisii Nyanza delivered 149,667 votes to Jubilee --> Cabinet slot --> One --> Matiangi
Kamba Eastern delivered 89,064 votes to Jubilee --> Cabinet slot --> One --> Ngilu
North Eastern delivered 175,032 votes to Jubilee--> Cabinet slots -->Two --> Adan & Amina
From the above analysis its clear that Coast province has been shortchanged and if this does not change by filling the pending cabinet slots with at least an indigenous coasterian then he should forget about coast province the way coast province will forget about the duo .
P.S. The reason why it was hard to sell Jubilee at the coast province was because the region has been marginalized by successive governments and it seems UhuRuto have decided to continue with the trend . When one looks at the Cabinet secretary nominees and see MRCs calling for "pwani si Kenya " then one starts wondering if that isnt the case.
