KENYA: OURU, RAILA, MATIANG'I AS SIMPLE FACILITATORS OF A GOLD RUNNING SCAM!

I would rather have written about Boniface Khalwale, once famed as a bull-fighter. He could have used this opportunity to stick a knife up his brother's guts, namely to depose him from the leadership of FORD-K where he, Bonny, has been playing second fiddle. But our bullfighter from Ingoo is no bull, nay, he prefers life in concubinage to Sir William, from whose harem he can now eat crumbs and do what b!tches do: bark around the political scene at other b!tches.

Farewell Bonny, you have found yourself, much like another once great promise of Ingoo, Ababu.

But there is another story spluttering around the political scene which has the potential to fireball. For the moment I am treating it as comedy. The victim in question, an Arab sheik from Dubai, has been conned only about ksh.400M. That is out of a reported a reported ksh 30bn potential. Checking the tonnage of gold which is stolen from the Congo per year, ksh.400M is hela ndururu.

So easily the bigger story is elsewhere.

In other words, the real aggrieved party in this scam is silent. She is the DRC, or her peoples, since the DRC's elite is no less concerned about the plight of the people, no more than their counterparts in Kenya are about ordinary Kenyans. Of course the DRC has over 3 Trillion dollars of minerals sagging her bowels -----that is plenty rich and no one punch holes in the credit worthiness of the DRC, but looking at the poverty levels of the land, her neglected to destitute war-orphans can get a lot of breathing room and belly-fills for ksh.400M cash.

So if I am not going to tackle the tragedy of the Congo people in this story of a gold scam, the tone has to be comedy. The sheik of Dubai may be angry, but it is the anger of a cuckold who, himself, has been cuckolding others. It is a moment for a take with a pinch of salt. The spade of spades is this: This case is a tip of the iceberg, that of Africa's wealth being looted and smuggled out, a local political elite colluding with external political elites in cross-border and intercontinental gangsterism.

Now lets do comedy. First. The tragedy will come, later.

The man who surfaced a day after a leaked recording of a senior politician linked to the gold emerged appeared keen to delink the opposition leader and the CS from the saga.

The claims that he was to transport gold worth Sh30 billion further complicates the saga which sucked in the country's top leaders. It has added a new twist as originally Sh400 million is suspected to have been paid to some Kenyans who had allegedly promised to unlock the five-month stalemate.

Yesterday, Zaheer Meriahi Jhanda appeared agitated as he explained that he was not in Dubai as has been claimed at a time he was alleged to have tried to make Raila talk to Dr Matiang'i on phone so as to intervene in the release of the gold consignment.

A leaked recording of a senior politician! Well, the name has been around and about for several weeks, the circumstances serving as an alternative as to why Ouru was lying low since his China debacle and long, unscheduled Dubai tere-a-tete!

Our star comedian is Moses Wetangula. Once again you could say. He is actually the former minority leader in the Kenyan senate. He also leads the FORD-K party. Long ago, he was a Sirisia MPig and minister for foreign affairs, thereafter trade. The intermezzo was filled with a resignation. He is no stranger to shady deals, our Moses, his CV is a shady as the moral slate of a Koinange street pro, which is why he is at the top of Kenya's politics. Here, you have to be rotten to make it to the top of politics. There is an unresolved issue of who masterminded the great swindle during the Tokyo embassy scandal with him, Weta, in the know. Here ...

According to the commissioner of lands, and the Auditor General, the government may have lost KES 185 million in the Tokyo purchase and KES 84 million in the Brussels one. In one strange discovery in the Tokyo transaction, it was found out that out of the sh.1.43 billion paid for the property, Kes. 1.35 billion was paid in cash and only sh.80 million was paid through cheque.

Strangely, the valuation was done by a Kenyan valuer who was not familiar with the legal circumstances in Tokyo.

Weta was forced to resign. He was soon cleared and came back as minister for Trade. That is long ago. Kibaki too was a patron of high-level graft.

There is also the dirt about the swindle of a series of Turkana oil blocks, and it sticks on Moses. Ever heard of Dr. Kengara Monena?

A secret memo from 2007 titled "Remittance of US$1million by Turkana Drilling Company Before The Scheduled Negotiations" from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy to Moses Wetang'ula alludes to a phone conversation between Wetang'ula and Nyoike, during which a sum of $1 million was transferred to a bank account thought to be associated with the ministry.
"I would like to refer to our (Hon Wetang'ula/Nyoike) telephone discussion this morning, Thursday July 5, regarding the above captioned subject. It would be appreciated if Turkana Drilling Company remit US$1 million into the account of the Ministry of Energy...negotiations for Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) for blocks 10BA and 10 BB will be held within three days of receipt of the US$1 million as signature bonuses."

The Mining Act is silent on signature bonuses. However, the Kenya Government gives the National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) Sh100 million annually to undertake preliminary exploration surveys. Data from these surveys is then sold to various companies that might be interested in exploration.

Howbeit, there being no honour in a chain of thieves flying the flag of greed, HONOURABLE Moses Wetangula throws Kenya into a spin. He mentions the criminal involvement of the who is who of Kenya in a gold racketeering scandal. There is the new prime minister who doubles as the minister for Interior, Fred Matiang'i. ---Connecting dots, Kenyan's have pondered why the GSU used to guard the house where the operation was busted. It used to look like a military safe house.

There is, facilitating the deal, according to Moses, President Ouru Kenyatta and his Handshake sidekick and brother, Raila Odinga. They are on it and there is nothing to worry about. Weta assures his partner in crime.

These three whose names Weta bandies, are the top of Kenya's ruling strata. Two are the official president and the unofficial (peoples) president, the third is the Prime Minister and head of the security docket. Weta incriminates them with total confidence. True or false? a Moses caught pants down so trying to insure his life!? A pathological liar, or a truth-teller!?

The usual suspect and crowned unofficial king of Graft, The Hustler Sing, has been handed a break. He has been quick to take a dig and enjoy himself with cutting, choice quips, adding fuel to the fire. That is the way our country works at the top. Everything is politics, everything is politicised, because there is a chronic national crisis.

His (Zaheer Jihanda) explanations raised more questions than answers as he complained that his deal had been politicised and that Raila and Matiang'i had no role in the deal and dismissed the protest letter said to have been sent to the CS.
But when asked whether he had involved any politician in his dealing, he said, "I would rather not comment on that." But he later changed saying that he had never told Raila or Matiang'i about his deal.

A week ago, Jhanda said he was approached by four Rift Valley MPs who had heard of the gold scandal. He claimed they implored him to implicate Raila and Matiang'i in the saga so that they could appear correct.
The businessman said he could not explain how the four MPs had known about the gold deal he had signed with the foreigners in Dubai.
He said he first smelled trouble in February when Mohamed Ali Zandi Goharizzi flew into the country after receiving reports that the gold had been impounded by security forces.

Well, all the government spokespeople have lost their eloquent tongues. Where is the stunning Kanze when you need her? Where is Nzioka the great strategist from Safcom? As for rtd colonel Oguna Cyrus, these are still honeymoon days. Strangely the DPP has taken defence of his appointing authority!

Haji defends Uhuru, Raila and Matiang'i after fake gold claims

Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji has defended President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga against claims of involvement in the fake gold scam.
Mr Haji issued a statement on Saturday about a recording circulated on social media that suggests that some information was relayed to President Kenyatta, Mr Odinga and Interior minister Fred Matiang'i, and that discussions followed.
He condemned the release and circulation of the recording, saying, "Such claims and their circulation through social media, specifically through leaked phone recordings in today's age of real-time, borderless publishing, are alarmist and may needlessly cause disaffection
He warned that "unless all facts are obtained and analysed, it is irresponsible and possibly unlawful to publish such material."

Mr Haji said he had personally received complaints from victims who said the person behind the scam had been invoking the President's name in dealings and conversations.

Now look here, Mr.DPP Haji, only a week ago, on LIVE TELEVISION, Nzioka Waita ---he is a state house mouthpiece if you didn't know, told the nation .... the president is a moron if he thinks such things as collateral clauses between the government and foreign entities advancing loans must be accessible to the public! President Kenyatta, off head, had promised a reporter there is nothing to hide in these things. But what did he know!? There is everything to hide.

In a government with everything to hide ----even the details of the Handshake MOU are all state secrets, it becomes a rumour-monger's paradise. The hunger for information will be quenched, in the absence of facts, by conjecture. And intelligent conjecture is called analysis!

And in these days of social media, analysis is a mushroom business! I therefore react more with amuse pity than irritation at Haji's attempt to institute censorship!

Wadi, who looked composed, told Milimani Law Courts resident magistrate Ms Ann Kaguru that he was ready to "apologise to President Kenyatta personally if he was not handed down a custodial sentence."
The charge against the university student stated that "the message he sent was calculated to bring into contempt the lawful authority of the President of the Republic of Kenya."

well, it was a private conversation, but in linking to a foreigner that the CiC of Kenya was facilitating the smuggling of gold from Congo, I think Wetangula greatly brought into contempt, the lawful authority of (both) the presidents of Kenya!

Uhuru and Raila met Dubai royal ruler over fake gold export saga

On Saturday, April 27, in the United Arab Emirates, President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly met with the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who is the emir (ruler) of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The Emir is said to have raised concerns about problems he was having with his gold consignment that was to be airlifted through Nairobi.

The Emir is reported to have produced an audio recording that was replayed to the President purportedly in a conversation between the Royal family’s representative and a Kenyan contact.

The recording is believed to be the same one that was leaked online at the weekend, and which prompted a statement from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji directing the police to investigate the audio clip titled “Wetang’ula exposed in fake gold scam,” apparently referring to Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula.

Officials aware of the meeting in Dubai say also present was Opposition leader Raila Odinga, who is also the African Union’s High Representative for Infrastructural Development. The leaders were returning from a summit in China.

Raila and Uhuru had stopped over in Dubai for a weekend-long meeting on their way from Beijing, where they had attended the Belt and Roads Forum, a signature project for Chinese President Xi Jinping to connect Africa, Asia and Europe, officials said.

Taken in circles

During the meeting, the Dubai ruler is said to have shared with Uhuru the audio that captured a conversation between his nephew Ali Zandi and the Kenyan contact, and also explained how they had been taken in circles in Nairobi over the gold consignment that was to be trucked from DRC Congo and flown out via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The Sheikh had been told by their Kenyan contacts the gold consignment had been seized at JKIA, but authorities say the Dubai ruler was conned as there was no such cargo.

It would appear Sheikh Maktoum had decided to raise the matter personally with Uhuru because it had been three months since he had lodged a protest with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i over the gold consignment allegedly seized at JKIA.

In the January 20 letter, the Sheikh had requested immediate action regarding the shipment of gold under “our company’s name Zlivia, which is being retained by your authorities in Kenya.”

The Sheikh had acknowledged that he understood the delay “was caused by the last terrorist attack in your country” apparently referring to the dusitD2 terror attack on January 15.

“Nevertheless, now we need your immediate and strong action to release the totality of Zlivia Gold shipment to UAE as soon as possible and according to the instructions by our General Manager Mr Zandi, who is there in Kenya to organise the shipment.”

“It is quite urgent to solve this issue the earliest,” the letter by the Dubai ruler had read.

Zandi flew to Nairobi on the eve of Christmas Day, last year – and was still in Kenya by the time the Sheikh wrote to Dr Matiang’i – to try to trace the gold haul from Ndande Tribe in DRC Congo since it had been three months since the deal was sealed with the Kenyan contacts.

The scheme started on September 25, last year, when the group approached Zandi, who represents Zlivia Company, a gold trading company based in Dubai. They had said they would deliver 4.6 tonnes of gold.

Zandi had been in Kenya for almost a month and left sometime in February, without the precious cargo. Having reached a dead end, it would appear the Sheikh saw an opportunity in Uhuru’s stopover in Dubai to seek his intervention.

On returning back to the country, Uhuru reportedly summoned his security bosses and played the audio to them.

Among those present in the meeting were Matiang’i, National Intelligence Service boss Maj Gen Philip Kameru, Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai and Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.

Uhuru expressed concerns over the con games in the country for which JKIA is used as the operational base. The Head of State then demanded immediate action.

That order apparently has triggered the police operation that has seen arrests of more than a dozen people and discovery of fake gold in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.

The operation has also seen the arrest of businessman Jared Otieno, who was detained over claims he swindled a man from Laos Sh300 million on the pretence he would supply him with gold.

The police say the operation against those behind several fake gold deals in the country is ongoing and more suspects are set to be arrested.

Other officials said the saga was first brought to the attention of the president in early April by Raila. This was after Raila flew to Dubai and met Sheikh Marktoum, who reportedly asked for his intervention to have the said gold weighing 4.6 tonnes released from JKIA.

During the meeting at a hotel in Dubai, a Kenyan who has been mentioned in the saga was introduced to Raila as the one who was supposed to supply the said gold from DRC, but the commodity was detained at JKIA.

The Kenyan man was embarrassed when he called a man purporting to be Matiang’i on the phone only for Raila to declare the person on the other end was not the CS.

“He put the phone on a loudspeaker and when Raila heard the voice of the other party, he intervened and declared it was not the CS. This ended the conversation,” said an official aware of the issue.

It was at that point that Raila is said to have told the Dubai ruler they had been swindled and promised to raise the matter with the Kenyan officials. Raila is said to have flown back to Kenya and met the President and other security officials, and informed them of the saga.

Mr Haji has since given police seven days to investigate the leaked audio recording and give him a file for action.

The DPP said he had personally received a complaint from victims of the scam claiming that the personality had been dealing with them for some time and invoking the President’s name in their dealings.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the scheme started on September 25, last year, when the group approached Zandi.

The group reportedly used known gold dealers, including a Russian national, to state that there was a huge amount of gold in DRC ready for movement to Dubai.

On September 27, the Kenyans said the gold had been detained by customs officials at JKIA.

According to the police, this prompted Zandi to call a Kenyan senator for help.

On December 15, last year, the senator flew to Dubai on the invitation of Zandi, for a meeting, during which he assured them he would help secure the release of the gold.

However, Zandi declined the demands for cash to facilitate the release and instead flew to Kenya on December 24.

His efforts to meet senior Kenyan Government officials were unsuccessful. Instead, the Kenyan contacts took him to JKIA, where he was shown sealed boxes purportedly containing the gold.

Apparently, the extortion ring includes some Government officials who facilitate the movement of their victims to the secure section at JKIA, where they have leased space for their fraudulent businesses.

On January 21, Zandi, who was still in the country, was moved to another hotel to meet a “senior Government official”, who would facilitate the release of the precious cargo.

Those behind the scheme organised imposters, one masquerading as a powerful Cabinet secretary, who they drove at night in two four-wheel drive cars to the hotel in Karen.

Zandi is said to have met the Government official in his car. The official apparently assured that the gold would be released. He flew back to Dubai after a month. But the said gold never got to Dubai.

Police say no such gold was held at the airport.

Frustrated, Sheikh Maktoum wrote to Kenya to complain about the scam and demanded action on those behind it.

The “seizure” was supposedly the first tranche of a 23-tonne gold consignment that was to be brought from the DRC.

Police investigations show the senator flew to Dubai to convince the royal family he would use his connections to have the said gold released.

And then Raila went to the DRC!

African Union infrastructure envoy Raila Odinga on Saturday held talks with DRC president Felix Tshisekedi in Kinshasa.

He flew to Kinshasa on Friday evening for the talks that centered on building of the Kinshasa- Brazzaville bridge which is part of the Tripoli- Cape Town Trans Africa Highway.

In his Twitter feed, the ODM leader said that the discussion with Tshisekedi also delved into the Inga Dam whose completion, he said, "is critical for Africa."

The tweet read; "Held talks in Kinshasa with President Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the construction of the Kinshasa- Brazzaville bridge that is part of the Tripoli- Cape Town Trans Africa Highway. We also discussed the Inga Dam whose completion is critical for Africa."

It was not immediately clear for how long he will be in the mineral rich country.

Raila's visit to the country comes in the wake of a revelation by The Star how Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula tried to drag his name into a gold scam said to have been detained at JKIA but belonging to a Emirati investor.

AFRICA TOO IMPORTANT TO BE LEFT TO AFRICANS?

Before I break it down to Kenya, first I revisit the Vietnam war, called the American war by the Vietnamese. They have had so many wars in their history the term Vietnam war without a reference to who the enemy was in which war, would be meaningless. I opined elsewhere and earlier on, that the Thucidides trap wherein China and the USA are locked, is a storm every ostrich better rethink its position on. We aren't just facing East, we are fully turned East, but the hearts of our Generals beat West. It is thus an ugly gait we walk: confused, cumbersome, undecided, furtive, entertainingly stupid to the unconcerned, tragically horrific to the emotionally involved. Huawei's HiSilicon says it has long been prepared for US ban, has backup plans


ZTE was previously added to the Entity List and the manufacturer suffered greatly as a result, as it was forced to halt sales of many phones. After all, ZTE didn't make its own chipsets and components. But Huawei has its own chip company - HiSilicon - and the division reportedly says it has long been prepared for this eventuality.
According to Reuters, HiSilicon president He Tingbo claimed in an internal letter that the company is able to ensure a steady supply and "strategic safety" of most parts. The letter adds that the chipmaker has been secretly working on backup products for years in the event that this scenario took place.

In Kenya surely a working cabinet emergency should have been held in crisis mode, and one like Bitange Ndemo commissioned forthwith to assemble a crack-team to devise a range of responses and report back to the GOK with conc advise.

But woe, O woe! What do we have?

Of the two presidents, one is in the DRC, working as an agent running the errands the Maktoum of Dubai. The other is underground in Nairobi, shaking like a leaf in the wind at the Maktoum's temper. The Arab is threatening divine rage at Kenya's and Kenyatta's assets in the gulf. The two leaders of cabinet --PM Matiang'i for Team Kieleweke and DP Ruto for the Tangatanga wing, are occupied elsewhere plotting blame games for individual survival and the demise of the other. So who's taking care of business? National business in Nairobi?

Of course there is! The station is manned. Power hates a vacuum. As the local elite abdicate and enter into their quisling roles with gusto, and with the local opposition still too infantile to jostle for prominence, the future of Africa is simply decided elsewhere, on the negotiation table, this time not at Berlin with European powers sharing her as cake, but a piece of war-booty as a modern Thucidides trap unfolds.

What a pity, when push comes to shove, an African commander in Chief is too irrelevant to matter. Ouru Kenyata is dressed down like a farm anorderly before an Arab Sheik who lost cash on an illicit deal in the first place. Ouru can not speak up for Kenya and say: hey mister, you are part of a smuggling gang here! You are fostering international piracy of Congo's wealth! You wanna give me a break there! This was your personal criminal enterprise, not an interstate matter!

But nay, His Timidity comes back to Kenya and goes into hibernation. And there is the goat of a Nzioka Waita, bleating his ass, together with sheepling Kanze Dena --O O Prezzo is busy at work! As for rtd colonel Oguna, who knows what the DoD whispers in his ears? What is obvious is that the official spokespeople are all offfside players. They try to hide what we already know!

The future of Africa looks too important to be left to Africans.

It is too important to be left to Africans like Ouru, Raila, Ruto, Matiang'i. But you already knew that. You already knew that in your heart, the way the world knew De Klerk was irrelevant the day he unbanned the ANC. (There was this terrorist in jail, Nelson his name. The day the ANC was unbanned, none could no longer hold back the truths of the land which the hearts had known for decades! President Mandela!).

ODM leader Raila Odinga yesterday broke his silence on the fake gold scandal admitting that he met the United Arab Emirates ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Claiming he was the scam’s whistleblower, Raila defended Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i against accusations of involvement.

Raila said Matiang’i has no links whatsoever with the scam.


“In matters of this gold involving the Arabs (Dubai buyers), Matiang’i is as (clean) white as cotton,” Raila said.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula had dropped the AU high representative for infrastructure’s name in a leaked phone call with the Dubai-based buyer identified as Ali Zandi.

The lawmaker also claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta was aware of plans to secure the release of the consignment.

Wetang'ula, in the recording, is heard assuring Zandi - said to be a business associate of Al Maktoum, that he had talked to Raila who in turn reached out to Uhuru to secure the release of the containers.

In a new twist to the matter under investigation by the police, Raila said he was the one who warned Sheik Al Maktoum that they were being duped.

The ODM leader said he quickly discovered the person who posed as Matiang’i in a phone call with the Dubai buyer was a fake.


Raila spoke at Isecha village in Kitutu Chache North constituency, Kisii county during the burial of David Ombati.


Dr Ombati was Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s personal doctor and the first medical doctor from among the Gusii.

Raila was accompanied by Governor James Ongwae, Senator Sam Ongeri, EALA MP Oburu Odinga, Woman Representative Janet Ong’era, and Kitutu Chache North MP Richard Onyonka.

“I asked the Arab (Zandi) to put the purported Matiang’i on the phone and spoke to a person who said he was ready to ship the consignment to Wajir,” the ODM leader said.

Raila said the caller promised the Dubai buyer that he would store the detained gold until the buyer accepts to pay the Sh200 million bribe to secure its release.

“They claimed to be ready to transfer the consignment to Wajir where the buyer was to collect it,” he added.

“These people are crooks. They are known. Investigations must be heightened to arrest those involved,” Raila said.

The gold question has dominated Kenyan headlines for over a week after politicians seized the moment to attack the ODM leader.

Oburu hinted that Raila may run in 2022 saying he is still young and willing to continue serving the country.

“Raila has not declared his presidential bid yet but he is still around. Nobody should speak on his behalf as he will continue being in the political scene,” the EALA MP said.

I was with the Arabs when they were called by a person claiming to be from Kenya and that they had the gold at a place where the Interior CS was.

The Infrastructure envoy, however, steered clear of the 2022 elections debate saying it was not the time for campaigns.

Other leaders who defended Matiang’i were senator Ongeri, Ong’era and Onyonka. Onyonka said Matiang’I should not be intimidated by impeachment threats.

Onyonka, who was until recently a member of the Tangatanga movement associated with Deputy President William Ruto, dismissed the latter’s political tours in Kisii.

He said, “Ruto will not make an impact in Kisii and Nyamira counties. He should stop his attacks on Raila.”

He (Ruto) needs to explain how he got the money he is dishing across the country. “Ruto is not Raila’s age mate. He should stop attacking him forthwith,” said Onyonka.

Two days ago, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) dismissed claims that the country’s ruler was swindled of Sh400 million in the fake gold deal.

Khalid Al Mualla told the Nation on Wednesday that Sheikh Al-Maktoum had not written to Kenya demanding the release of the gold which the cons said was detained at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Sixteen suspects arrested over the scandal are expected in court on Monday for bail hearing following their arraignment.

A section of Jubilee MPs have told ODM leader Raila Odinga to state what he knows about the fake gold scandal.

They said Interior CS Fred Matiang’i should also explain how the country’s security was protecting the premises with fake gold.

Speaking in Endebess and Saboti constituencies on Saturday when they accompanied Deputy President William Ruto during the launch of various development projects, the lawmakers asked Matiang’i to state what he knows about it.

The leaders were Governors Patrick Khaemba (Trans Nzoia) and Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu), MPs Robert Pukose (Endebess), Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Janet Nangabo (Women Rep, Trans Nzoia), Rahab Mukami (Women Rep, Nyeri), Mathias Robi (Kuria West), Janet Jepkemboi (Turbo), Gabriel Tongoyo (Narok West), Fred Kapondi (Mt Elgon) and Owen Baya (Kilifi North).

A leaked audio put Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula at the heart of the multi-million shilling fake gold scandal.

In the audio conversation, Wetang'ula dropped the names of Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta to assure a Dubai gold investor believed to be Ali Zandi that their detained consignment would be released.

Waititu told those named in the scandal not to drag Uhuru into the mess, saying they should bear their own burden.

“They should return the money they falsely obtained from the deal,” he said.

Waititu accused Raila of "lecturing" politicians on corruption yet his name was brought up the in the scam.

Ruto also told the opposition to leave the President’s name out of the scam.


“I tell our brothers in the opposition not to import their bad habits to Jubilee; they should shun engaging in dirty deals, corruption and coning others,” said the Deputy President.

"These people who are political conmen turned business conmen should carry their cross alone”.

Jumwa told Matiang'i to step aside over the scandal.
