The last time Kenyans heard from her was back in March when she blasted Kalonzo- through a brief press statement- after the VP's mushene about Kibaki relying on heavy medication to keep him on the job was published in Wikileaks. Since then, she seems to have disappeared from the limelight including state occasions. I've just checked for any website related to the office of the first lady but there seems to be none. I've checked the state house website, there's a link to her office but all the links given are dormant. So where on earth is our First Lady?

Destiny, you must've missed her statement RE Sinai tragedy issued on 14th September: www.statehousekenya.go.ke/oafla/speeches/f-lady/sep2011/2011140901.htmAs this one wasn't delivered personally as was her statement (complete with admonition of Saitoti) at Sachangwan (?), this may have been the work of a PR officer at state house. A sign of life, so to speak...

Not that it makes any difference. Even the Narc activist is nowhere to be seen. May be the fifteen minutes are up or may be business is low. Who knows!

Mama Lucy is planning for life after presidency. She is probably spending more time in Othaya, trying to familiarize herself with her neighbors and trying to keep her house ready for Kibaki. Good for her, atleast she thinks ahead.

mama lucy with her hubby making the best of the moment my absolute respect and admiration to mama lucy. whatever haters may say,she is the true embodiment of kenyan motherhood. here is a college educated woman who like michelle obama, has sacrificed her career for the love of her family, endured the pressure that comes with public life of a husband that has had no career in Kenya but politics. with politician kibaki in a hectic public life which meant being on the road most of the time, its mama lucy who,as responsible mother and wife does, shouldered the burden of brilliantly raising this beautiful family. that none of her children, has been involved in scandal during the tenure of her husband-at least for what we know--makes me proud of the values she has rubbed in them. in fact when we hear of mama lucy in the eye of storm,it would be someone trying to mess with her family. the kibakis i am happy to learn that there is a new public hospital that has been named after the first lady.a befitting honour to the mother of our nation.lucy muthoni kibaki

She is unwell. Just like any other human being. Is this official? Problem is that we have heard nothing from the office of the first lady. If you trawl the net you will come across all manner of her condition from bizarre to hilarious ones and as always a few sickening ones from some bird-brained Kenyans. Mama Lucy is not your typical Kenyan on the street. She's the wife of Kenya's most powerful politician. Her family is constantly in the public eye due to public interest. If true that she's ailing, then it should be made official to the great Kenyan public. This will enable many Kenyan's to put her health in our prayers. Still, wish her the very best!

Well then she should tell her employers(Public) that she is Ill and excuse herself from her duties. That way its official and she enjoys her pay like any other person on sick leave.

She is unwell. Just like any other human being. Kamalet Lucy Kibaki isn't any other human being. She is the privileged sort. The sort who think that their sh!t don't stink! The funny thing about this life that we live is that no matter what things you have, you are still subject to the famous equalizers, like death, illness, hunger etc. Man if only the rich could pay life off to spear them what it spears non of us. Another point that I've previously made is that if you had a co-wife like Wamboi you too would be ill in more ways than one. I wonder what will happen when Lucy and her "legitimate" Kibaki children have to duke it out with Wamboi and Kibaki's "illigitimate" drama queen daughter.

I think you suffer severe inferiority complex.....everyone who ranks above your cadre is bad. But you probably are so used to living within mediocrity that even quality passes you unnoticed. I see little difference between Lucy and you mother. They are women who are not young and at their age can get unwell, but then I highly doubt you would ever see it that way. I cannot even imagine how you managed to drag in the hedonic tone assessment of shit into the conversation. enuff sed.

And, that this other family is a family from hell! But you seem to have the inside scoop, why don't you share?

You will be surprised at how little you know. Remember that pathetic press conference some years back where Kibaki with Lucy breathing down his neck went ahead and denied Wamboi and their brat. We'll have to see about that. And didn't I see Wamboi on a video at an event straight up saying that she is Kibaki's wife. But you being an insider and all can help clarify matters for us. Share.

Kibaki's dissappeared wife mirrors the tribulations of Vladimir Poetin. He has not been seen in public with his wife for months, yet he has been seen in the proximity of a certain beauty, former turnster at the olympics and now of very robust proportions. It is an open secret the elections in April will merely crown Poetin as president, up from Prime Minister, so on Russian social media there are reports about bettings and secret weddings: which woman will be beside Vladimir Poetin when he is sworn as president of Russia in April?
The topic became so hot that the PM's spokesman had to come up with a press release stating Poetin is happily married to Ludmilla Poetina, his wife of old! A Kremlin that issues statements on the marriage of a Czar! Surly social media has power! It is a new age. So where is Lucy? Dr. Alfred sir!

Mama Lucy is recuprating from her well known illness. hence she will not be allowed to make a fool of herself in public and probably cause grevious bodily harm to other persons till she is stable

She was a fierce domestic manager and handled family and presidential affairs with gusto often bordering on impunity. The following may wish she kept off public limelight:
Matere Keriri December 2003-Famous airport snub and sacking shortly after wards
Mokhtar Diop 2005-Famous farewell party busted pajama clad Lucy.
Clifford Derrick 2005- Slapped inside Nation offices for his Media house's reporting on Diop incident. Guy had to exile himself to S.A.
Francis Musyimi December 2007- slapped for inadvertently refering to her with her 'rivals name. He was promptly transferred.
George Gichane Nderitu Fired September 2010-Sacked for late laundry delivery but later got a job as a diplomat.
Gitobu Imanyara February 2008- Allegedly 'Assaulted' for caving in in the parliamentary race for deputy speaker. Also ran to S.A. for a while.
George Saitoti February 2009-Got fire for his handling of Sachangwan fire.
Kalonzo Musyoka March 2011-Got a talk down for his snitching on the prezzo to some diplomats.
The 'second family' for being 'denied' in public and Obako for having to be there for the denial.
All said she also did run a charity and we can only wish her full recovery but with a little less drama this time round.
