Miguna, Brederin, take hope, I say fold up your belongings , infact temporarily fold your pen and paper as well and move back to Canada. “Flee for your life” , this is the best exit strategy for you right now!!! There will be no shame to it. Leave Kenya in peace and not pieces and go settle yourself and rejuvinate. You can launder about Raila’s sins as much as you want but not now …take a break, infact you can sue the state for distress and seek damages when due!!! You are a lawyer am sure there are soo many avenues you can get your own back. Your love Raiara f..d u up ! This the whole world knows! Preach it brederin , preach the atrocities but do not go for the man, that battle is too mammoth for now, there will be time!!!! Seek ye wisdom brederin seek ye wisdom.. Any life is sacred so is yours , take heed if you have received threats to your life; take heed brederin flee for it, there are hoons and goons for hire in town , there is reckless lawlnessness in town there is less order, and you have legion of enemies, seek wisdom brederin , seek peace, seek safety now. Life is all that matters you can always live to fight another day, what use is there in your silence in eternal sleep utter waste! Use this opportune to exit home back to Canada you will have saved face and maybe life! That is my wisdom for you today! Peace be with you!

Raila's feverish supporters are his worst enemies. True, the PM may have nothing to do with this, just like in TUJU's stoning case, but these deeply violent and tribal "supporters" will do anything however stupid if a fellow tribesman is seen to be "spoiling" Raila's chances of becoming president. God forbid the violence which would be meted on critics if Agwambo's dream was realised and he became the king! The "supporters" are actually the ones that put off Raila's potential voters like me. Remember the nonsense about "no Raila no peace" and we "won't pay rent and bus fare if he wins?" Miguna has every right to be scared. My good friend Oscar King'ara had similar fears and was executed by cops within weeks after we had met at his popular restaurant (The Hood) in Kilimani. He told my group he was scared, people had visited his parents home near Banana in Kiambu and made threats, just like in Miguna's case. They pumped bullets and took his life away together with that of his co-worker Paul Oulu both used to work for Oscar Foundation. As you may have guessed, their killers remain at large two years on. Such threats as Miguna's should and must be taken seriously. It happened to my good buddy who had just been interviewed by Jeff Koinange one week before, it can happen to anyone. Destiny, three quick points First, If you follow Jesus Christ or the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH); then would you renounce your Christianity if you witnessed the iniquity of Christians? And would you renounce Islam if you confronted the violent fundamentalism carried out in the name of Mohamed? Yours is an argument that has no legs, although many people brandish it like a Somali sword. My friend, condemn to the high heavens those you perceive to be goons but carefully separate wheat from chaff. I would not judge someone by the actions of people who claim to support her. People who threaten others are NOT Raila's true supporters since Raila abhors such behaviour - but I know that you are aware of that since you are a well read and exposed person. But note that in Miguna's case it is by no means conclusive who is threatening who. As you are aware Miguna himself is on suspension for harassing people at the Office. He is not averse to threatening behaviour. But this is now a police matter. My second point relates specifically to the case of Oscar Kingara and Oulu. The one politician whom I know tried to move mountains to get to the bottom of the matter is Raila Odinga. So that example is quite apt. It should give you sufficient pose for thought. If you know the life of Raila and if you are objective you will know on what side he bats from when it comes to political assassinations. Finally on the case of Miguna, it is full of drama and intrigue. It is not the normal, open and shut case. And Miguna does himself few favours by conflating the grave matters he is raising with a deeply personal political crusade. So please keep an open mind.

I used to ask why MM rarely attacked Raila or ODM while he was still working there. He went ballistic only after his dismissal. A dismissal that annoyed me. I am not a RAILA supporter. I smoke enough weed to liberate my consciousness from the mundane. So I will not attack either Raila or MM. I just wonder why MM thinks that what he is doing is NOT NAKED. I can see it. i do not need glasses. Am I mad at him?? No. He is playing politics. I see a man who is trying to fight for a foothold in Kenyan politics. I wonder if his style will catapult him up there or if his frantic efforts will come to nothing. I see Raila too. I see the boys uniting against him. Do I love the boys? NO. In short all the politicians do not make sense to me. However, without a doubt, i will go with Raila for now unless something BETTER comes along. So MM can at least be SUBTLE. You cannot beat RAILA with THORAX. I hate to ADMIT it, but that approach will make you meet the community HEAD-ON. Utaweza hio?? Even me i want to take over from ODINGA but sijui hata nianze wapi. So i will let him finish his term before I fight him. Even my mother will vote Agwambo before she votes for me if we were both on the ballot with Agwambo. So MM, your entry into Politics has started on the wrong PATH-----A war path with Agwambo will not make you even a Councillor. No one knows you in the grassroots. you probably can get more votes in Canada than in KISUMU. So go slowly. Get over the hasira for your dismissal. Focus and get an advise from a pothead like me. Sometimes we see thing TOTALLY different. I can see you ENDING nowhere with this. The spirits are telling me that your HUBRIS will be your undoing. A professor once told me in Bible College (yes, I am a pot-head Theologian) the way UP is DOWN. Try humility. The LUO spirit is FORMIDABLE. you cannot penetrate in ALONE without the MASSES. For now the MASSES are with AGWAMBO. TAKE it EASY my friend. Will You? Next time before you YAP anything, contact me and let's see if the RAMOGI spirits agree with it. For now, the oracles tell me that you should find a quiet spot, light some spliff and listen to this song. You will have an epiphany if you let your spirit flow with the lyrics. Your eyes will be opened and you will come back to the fold. You are straying. HII MTU Bado Ni STRONG. You will not fight him thru KELELE. Two beers for this gentleman. Let me know when you are running so I can vote for you, that is after Agwabo retires. ;DYour assessment is on point. OO asked some very important questions that MM should have been asking from the beginning. But this is MM's conclusion: "My life is more important than someone's delusional belief that he has a God given right to the presidency of the republic of Kenya."Now from the above statement, its safe to assume that MM did his own investigations and came up with the conclusion that Tinga is trying to take him out period and that is the issue here.

cheshirecat, No one is concerned about this because it's not true that the PM is using his office to "put pressure on the press to stop publishing stuff that he doesn't like." Because your premise is false, your analogy to Moi is equally false and misplaced. ast Thursday November 10th, 2011, I received written communication from the Chief Executive Officer of the Star newspaper, Mr. William Pike, advising that the Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, was very upset about an article I had published in the Star on Tuesday November 8th, 2011, titled: “We Must Never Tolerate Theft of Public Resources”. That article was about corruption in government; not about Raila Odinga.
William requested that I should “go slow on the Prime Minister” in my column until the “dust settles.” The Star subsequently caved in to political pressure from the Prime Minister and refused to publish an article I submitted for my column of Tuesday November 15th on political violence and hooliganism. That article appears in today’s issue of the People newspaper (and is attached herewith).[/i] Omwenga, Are you saying Miguna is lying about the above? [/quote] cheshirecat, I know both Mr. Pike and the PM. It would be uncharacteristic of either to do this; Mr. Pike would not bow down to anyone on matters related to press freedom and the PM would not ask Mr. Pike to tell him what articles he should or should not publish at the Star. That's just the fact. Now, if people from the PM's office or his supporters ask Mr. Pike not to publish Miguna's articles or have him tone down his rhetoric without the PM's knowledge or approval and Mr. Pike takes any action on it, such an action would only be strictly as a matter of business, not political judgment. Put another way, if publishing Miguna's articles is good for business or otherwise in the best interest of the Star, Mr. Pike would have it published regardless of what the PM or his people say. Conversely, if publishing such articles hurts the Star's business in terms of readership or exposure to legal liability for slander, then he or any publisher would not publish such articles. This are not the days of even the recent past where the media would be afraid to publish short of provable slander and defamation, which may also have likely contributed in such a decision not to publish Miguna's articles. Mr. Pike himself would tell you that and if you don't know him, ask anyone who knows him. Anyone who has evidence to the contrary, let them table same here and particularly evidence that the PM himself asked Mr. Pike to do what is claimed. I'll be the first one to condemn such a request if one produces the evidence. I doubt any such evidence is forthcoming because I am confident he did no such a thing.

You act a fool every time I read your written stuff.
1. Adongo, earlier, said,
It s clear Miguna's article was not published because Pike refused to do so. Miguna says so in his post, and secondly he made the same point to Adongo which is relaid, above.
2. It is triteness that Pike had published other articles from Miguna, and had indeed made Miguna a columnist of his paper. Now, if that was the case, then there must have been something out of ordinary which must have made Pike change his mind and refuse publishing the latest article from Miguna. Common sense dictates that the person most negatively affected must have played a role in stopping the publication. I can see no other than Riala who has the clout to do so.
You allege it wasn't business conducive to publish, but how do you know? Are you saying that Pike's business permitted earlier Miguna's articles to be published, but has now changed course and did not think it was prudent business need to publish? You must be kidding! I call that selective reasoning.

You are one of the most foolish, idiotic persons on this board and your record speaks for itself. You tried changing into a girl's name to hide behind the skirt and you were smoked out of there. Poor Jane. Now you are back trying to pick fights above your pay scale. It is your lucky day. I am in a mood to kick some butt and if you want to be the punching bag, be my guest. You have tried mightily to make sense sometimes and more often than not you are just too hopeless. I guess you just can't help it. Pole I know it is not your fault but that will not spare you today. Too bad. I happen to know both Miguna and Mr. Pike. It is Miguna who introduced me to Mr. Pike so he could look at some of my work for publishing. I have written articles for the Star and Mr. Pike in all cases he has published them except once when I wrote something about the KKK conmen. I didn't go crying that Mr. Pike had refused to publish my article. So you are not in a position to tell me much about the two gentlemen. I am with them in the same world of writing. One of the things I find very limiting with these mainstream media columns is the very restrictive word count. But that is fine when I need to get somethinh out there. Often I am content with Jukwaa. The stuff gets where it should and that is good enough for me. Secondly, Miguna himself sent me an-email which was a copy of what he sent Mr. Pike. I mentioned that. So while you are venting your bile with mere speculations, adongo ogony actually is in touch with these people. I have the privillege of a whole lot more information than you can have. I have stated my position on the matter very clearly. Mr. Pike published a story from Onyango Oloo on the exact same topic with the exact same position. Why didn't Raila stop that? The same star published another by a Mr. Osman on the same subject form the same perspective. Why didn't Mr. Pike stop that. Miguna himself does not know why Mr. Pike stopped publishing his letter but he is free to speculate just as we are free to question such speculations. In fact Mr. Pike had emailed Miguna telling him that he (Mr. Pike) had edited the story and will send the edited version to Miguna. That didn't happen and Miguna was surprised about that. So there are many angles and many issues to be sorted out without idiotic rants from the Sadiks. I have been writing since I was 14 years old. I enjoy writing and arguing with people. I am also not afraid to call a spade a spade and me and you have butted heads mainly because sometimes you do extremely foolish things and here in Jukwaa sometimes people have had to use your thick head to wipe the floor to wake you up. If you need more of that, rest assured it is coming in abundance. Show me any one thing you have ever put here in Jukwaa that makes any sense at all and I will show you a hundred completely idiotic rants from you. That will be OK for now. sawa?

I told you it is your lucky day. This forum is not for babies. Keep crying and mummy will hear you. hehehehehehe. She will be shocked to see a grown man with a beard crying about age. ooh he is older than me mummy. He baaaaad. Hehehehehe. If it was my mum she would slap you back to your senses and tell you to stand up for yourself. No craybabies allowed with that woman. She told us to go out there and stand up and not be cowards. I tell my son the exact same thing and I got in trouble about it only once when he knocked some bully out cold in school. He told the principal his dad told him to give bullies three chances and if they go on to take them out. I was summoned to the school immediately. Well well I treat them as they come as you very well know. No prisoners! Never.

Folks:
Let us keep it civil OK?
Miguna has asked me to share some correspondence between him and the Star to provide context in the ongoing exchanges. I have decided to limit my excerpt to one exchange-a letter from Mr. Pike and Miguna's response.
I have left out a substantive chunk for what I believe are very good reasons:
From: William Pike <xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Miguna Miguna <xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, 10 November 2011, 11:02 Subject: Go slow
Miguna
I think we should have a go-slow on the Prime Minister in your column until the dust settles.
There are two reasons for this:
a. Some people are saying that attacking Raila makes you look cheap. You were his adviser and supporter. You were suspended and then you turned against him. I understand where you are coming from but in the public eye it may appear different.
b. The PM is very upset about the KKV article which he says was unfair because it did not refer to his explanations of what happened. He says it was not balanced. I am worried that this thing can snowball and run out of control, and hurt us all.
So let's lay off Raila in the column for a while.
William
From: Miguna Miguna <xxxxxxxxxxx> To: William Pike <xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, 10 November 2011, 18:12 Subject: Re: Go slow
Oh William, I forgot this:
Raila is the Prime Minister of Kenya. That's a public office. He gets paid tons of our money to protect public interests. Therefore, anything Raila does - if he gets sick, stays too long in the toilet, drinks too much, sleeps in public (like he does too much), etc - becomes news and of public interest. You cannot, in good conscience and ethically ask me to go slow on Raila, unless you and the entire Star team has been compromised. Journalistic ethics does not allow you to be concerned about Raila's happiness. Why should Raila be happy with me or the Star? And why should I go slow on him merely because he is unhappy?
This is astonishing. Even the mere fact that you could write this to me is astounding. Think about it. Are you really "fresh, independent and different?" How?
Let's be honest with the people of Kenya for a change.
Phew!
Miguna

Interesting to see the email from Miguna. Thanks Oloo. It is clear now that actually Pike took the decision to stop publishing an article from Miguna because of pressure from the PM, that the PM was upset and Pike feared the consequence of upsetting the PM. Pike says PM did not like it and made Pike know of his dislike. Second, I am convinced Adongo did not tell us the whole truth about his email little conversation with Miguna. You can't fool people like that. Reading the emails posted by Oloo, Adongo must have known that Pike mentioned the PM's upset which led to the refusal of Miguna's article, but ignored to highlight it. That is now clear. Adongo initialy told us the PM had nothing to do with Pike's refusal to publish Miguna's article. He wrote, I didn't go crying that Mr. Pike had refused to publish my article. It is clear that is not true, far from it, Miguna knew why his article was not published because Pike told him so, and therefore Adongo lied. Miguna knows why his article was not published - the reason being the PM was 'upset' - and shamefully Pike was made aware of the upset which necessitated the refusal to publish. In other words, Pike was 'pressured' not to publish. Miguna in his rebuttal email questions Pike's independency - quite rightly. On a related matter, about the condescending treatment of the Somalis by some posters, my positions seems to attract 'hounds' to maul me. The likes of einstein have reared their ugly behind. I was expecting the 'hounds' to come in running, and as usual they don't surprise in their stance! No one, be they Somalis fighting among themselves, has to be ridiculed. More so, their religion be mocked. I shall say that whatever it takes, and how ever many times pathetic people need to understand. I'm not in anyway against people discussing maturely issues around Somalia, including their religion - which I share with them. I learn as many do from others on the complex issues involved in Somalia. But, I find it distasteful to malign them simply because people don't understand nor know their viewpoints. I'm concerned that matters of religion seem to be turned into laughable jokes. That I refuse to accept. So, pathetic hounds can circle as much as they like - I stand my grounds and will not fudge nor compromise. When I raise issues about themselves or their communities which the same people find distasteful, they are quick to raise hell, but are very busy doing the same to others without flinching an eyelid. It shows the shame and retrogressiveness of their mindsets. That i stand to correct and bring to fore without fear. Rest assured.

Oloo It would be nice to let Miguna know that the in the coutrt of Public perception, he is fast gaining notoriety for his knack of infantile tantrums. Miguna supposed criticism of the Pm would make a lot more sense if they were a continuation of a streak dating back to the days he served at the PM's office.
Since the seminal context of their run is the whole episode of his sacking, Miguna's silly rantings against Agwambo cannot muster the lowest, most bare denominator of objective expose. Chal nyathi ma osetwon tam tam kor yuak ka luorore aluora.
Tell Miguna that those comments he is won't to peddling are self-impaling to his credibility--that is if he still has any.

Nalinali:
Miguna reads everything on Jukwaa. He still has his posting privileges as one of our oldest members. Maybe one of these days he will respond directly to you.

TWO THINGS MMs boss is saying IMO
''Some people are saying that attacking Raila makes you look cheap''
a. MM has became a member of the ‘It’s raining, sugar is high, air tickets are expensive, im going to the hague, i have a hangover, im broke, there are drugs, the gacungwa wants more rent because of RAO crew.’
''the KKV article which he says was unfair because it did not refer to his explanations of what happened. He says it was not balanced. I am worried that this thing can snowball and run out of control, and hurt us all''
b. Maybe MM just forgot to mention the World BANK report or the way even wobbly wamlwa couldn’t pinpoint anything. The PM shouldn’t be upset, in a way i think the star is noticing that MM has become a liability and are looking for an excuse to CHENGA HIM. (And didn’t the Pms comm. Dir Dennis O. Write an article to counter MM earlier?)
TO Borrow from my Jamaican Brethren n Sisteren.
‘Self destruction mi I say’ and its SAD.
Hopefully am wrong but AS I SAID BEFORE, MM mixes everything with politics and at this point i guess his credibility. Why credibility? Look at this: who would want to now work with a guy for all intents and purposes who will allow their personal exchanges (RAO MSG/PIKE EMAIL) with their bosses to be publicised so as to gain public sympathy OR MAKE A POINT?
Even if i am not privy to the full exchanges MM had with Pike. Some things should be left unsaid. You swallow the pill and move on.
Last week. it was his life. This week, Raila has c*ckblocked my article. What about next week?

Why don't Miguna Miguna just start his own newspapers where he can publish Raila stories everyday? Since he comes out as someone who KNOWS everything, he should know how to get money and start his own publication and call it something like LOUDMOUTH TRIBUNE. He is now becoming ridiculous. Why share the private emails just to prove your TANTRUMS against RAILA? I think you have LOST it. RAILA was right in KICKING you out of his office. With that kind of brain, what ADVICE were you really giving?? No wonder Raila kept messing up while you were in his office. I saw a change after you left. As you make your kelele on Jukwaa, Raila keeps undoing your damage and thank God he has IGNORED you just the same way he has ignored the other parrots and puppets like Ruto. ;D

You act a fool every time I read your written stuff. ... You allege it wasn't business conducive to publish, but how do you know? Are you saying that Pike's business permitted earlier Miguna's articles to be published, but has now changed course and did not think it was prudent business need to publish? You must be kidding! I call that selective reasoning. Daktari wa makazi, Wives are always the last ones to know their husbands are having an affair just as fools are always the last to know they are fools or are acting as one and it's always too late for the latter. Your question about why a publisher would not publish an article from an author they have previously published shows your inability to understand basic propositions such as the one previously stated that Mr. Pike may have decided not to publish articles from someone they have otherwise published for business, not political reasons. In other words, or to simplify it for you, it does not follow that just because one's articles have heretofore been published, they cannot henceforth stop to be published for business reasons. Your apparent believe that the opposite is true, namely, if one has always been published there cannot be business reasons not to publish their articles goes only to show how limited your knowledge is, if any, on this simple business principle and everything you punish your keypad typing and posting here for that matter. Given that fact, who is the fool here? I know you are convinced I am but someday you'll come to know you are and thus my opening this post by saying fools find out last they are fools and it's often too late. Get a head-start by at least taking your time to think before responding to posts with at least minimally intelligent or sub-well thought out responses or you will continue proving the absence of either while in a state of delusion that you are, in fact, pointing out the foolishness in others while it's yours you should see and arrest rather than torturing us with it.

You act a fool every time I read your written stuff. 1. Adongo, earlier, said, It s clear Miguna's article was not published because Pike refused to do so. Sadik, I have been writing since I was 14 years old. That will be OK for now. sawa? @adongo, I like your comment above. I am relatively new here at Jukwaa and came to this conclusion about this netter and a couple of others. Someone should do a profile of all these characters and what they say in believing they are presenting arguments when, in fact, they are not and such profile would make a good chapter on how not to debate and while at it, add a chapter on how to debate which I am confident these characters would greatly benefit from as well. One is better off not debating at all than opening their mouths or typing something that makes them come across as let me not use the word out of respect for fools who know no better by virtue of the fact they are uninformed or not educated at all on things beyond the basic necessary for survival.

...Miguna used to interest me a lot because he seemed to be very focused on trying to help Kenya get it right about managing public resources but he is lately sounding more like a teenager trying to "spoil" for his/her mate after getting dumped... He could have made a good legislature because of his loud mouth, but now I don't know Jukwaa...I don't know...
The teenager who got dumped seems so keen to "air" all the dirty linen in the open in order to paint their ex- as the worst thing human being in the world, all in the effort to scare away other suitors who may be stepping into the scene...
Miguna now sounds petty if you ask me, but at least it shows that he (...the teenager...) cared for Raila...he had real feelings for the cause...!
Maybe he got "dumped" for being such a loose canon, firing indiscriminately, even wildly at times when caution and precision would deal a bigger blow to the enemies of development... Sometimes being still and silent for a while is important, especially in the process of designing political alignment and direction in such a "Jua kali coalition" government...gather an arsenal but bid your time, strike at the opportune time...
The threat to his life may or may not be real, but could it be coming from those he is running to for protection....? (Mboya, Ouko, JM, etc)

Regarding the letter that Miguna availed to the forum, I think it shows us what kind of person Miguna really is. Adongo was wrong to refer to the letter earlier on in the thread, but Miguna's reaction was a total disgrace. He has been relatively dismissive of Adongo's comments lately and when he read the references to his correspondence with Mr Pike, he decided to reveal the contents of the same. In brief he decided to throw Adongo to the sharks.
I think his disclosure of private correspondence to further his selfish ends reveals a lot about his judgement. Seriously, how did he manage to stay at the OPM for all this time?

I agree, Migunas sense of judgement is as poor as they come. I would be very worried if I were the man's friend. I won't be surprised if he reveals top government secrets. This is the kind of person foreign powers can recruit to spy. But I'm not saying that he is a spy. You just don't reveal private correspondence in public. It's uncouth.
