mwalimumkuu. In the era of youtube, lying ovyo ovyo can be embarrassing. But then again some people are not capable of embarrassment. They wear their lies as a badge of honour. Here is Raila in Afraha Stadium in the heart of Rift Valley. Raila is the only presidential candidate not tied to a log tree in their backyard. He can get good audience anywhere in Kenya while the others are forever "consolidating" their support in their villages. Raila's national appeal is what the tribal silo "leadership" were supposed to defeat. It hasn't worked. Be very afraid. Here we go: ....and here I was thinking all along that the fixation with "mammoth crowds" died off with the Moi "error". Kweli the more things CHANGE, the more they remain the same... B6K, Even if we are to overlook the crowds for a moment. When you look at that vedeo and see the fellows who are campaigning on a reform platform, you want to hide your head and cry for the beloved country; Koskei, Gumo, Ntimama, Sirma, Kajwang, Nyong'o, Ubure etc. We need some help buddy.

Return to ODM fold, Raila urges Rift Valley voters Prime Minister Raila Odinga (right) with former President Daniel arap Moi during a church service at the AIC Kabarak Community Chapel on July 8, 2012. By NATION TEAM newsdesk@ke.nationmedia.com Posted Sunday, July 8 2012 at 23:30 Presidential aspirants on Sunday intensified their campaigns as they criss-crossed the country in their hunt for votes. Prime Minister Raila Odinga concluded his two-day tour of Central Rift on Sunday where he vowed to reclaim his votes in the populous region. In Nairobi, Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka’s received 300 new supporters led by former Cabinet minister Francis Nyenze to his Wiper Democratic Party. And in Nyamira, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta said leaders were to blame for the economic and social problems facing the country. The PM, who had earlier attended Sunday service at Kabarak in Nakuru with former President Daniel arap Moi, told the gathering in Eldama Ravine that he was back to reclaim what belonged to him. Accompanied by 17 MPs including Orange Democratic Movement chairman Henry Kosgey, the PM urged the residents to get back to the party, saying that he was headed to victory. “I bring you greetings from Moi… I want to tell you that arap Mibei (the name he was given by the Kalenjin in the 2007 campaigns) is back,” he said. Mr Odinga reiterated that the next election would be a battle between reformists and agents of status quo. He said he was the only one who could be entrusted with the full implementation of the Constitution. “It’ll be a two-horse race. A race between the horse that is for reforms and justice and another horse which is for impunity and status quo,” the PM said. He also dismissed claims made in the past by his rivals led by Mr Kenyatta and United Republican Party leader William Ruto that he had a hand in the case facing them at the International Criminal Court. “I have come with Mr Kosgey today who was in the jaws of the lion, but he is back because he was innocent,” Mr Kosgey hit out at Mr Ruto for leaving the ODM and starting a new party, saying that he was misleading the Kalenjin. The suspended Industrialisation minister said he would have formed his own party too if he wanted to, but noted that it was not necessary. Vowed supportMr Musyoka’s presidential bid got a boost when Mr Nyenze and 300 people from Kitui West joined Wiper Democratic Party. The group vowed to support Mr Musyoka’s presidential bid in the next General Election. The VP received the new supporters at Mr Nyenze’s Karen home in Nairobi. “I want to assure you that the Wiper Democratic Party is for the peace and stability of all Kenyans. I am ready to receive every brother and sister who joins me and my team for the sake of peace and stability of this nation,’’ he said. Mr Musyoka advised Kenyans to hold those seeking elective positions accountable to a moral and developmental agenda. www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/Raila+campaigns+in+Mois+backyard++/-/1064/1449038/-/qtrejez/-/index.html

NAIROBI ODM DELAGATES MEETING AT BOMAS OF KENYA
Nairobi politicians Mr. George Aladwa and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru today resolved to end their rivalry and work together to strengthen ODM in the City.
The two buried the hatchet at a reconciliation meeting held at the Bomas of Kenya which was chaired by the party National Chairman Mr. Henry Kosgey. The two fought for the Chairmanship of ODM Nairobi County in last year's party elections which Aladwa won but have not been working in harmony ever since.
But today's meeting was a milestone as the two resolved to end their rivalry for the sake of the party ahead of the general election. Addressing the more than one thousand party delegates drawn from all the City's eight constituencies, Mr. Aladwa who is also the City Mayor said the interest of the party should supersede anyone's interest. "Bishop and I met the Party Leader this morning and we resolved as mature politicians to stop this cold war and build our party in Nairobi" said Aladwa.
Mr. Aladwa said he was happy that the party will now move on with its activities in the City adding that he will ensure all members and supporters of the party from the two warring factions work on harmony as a family. "Let us work as brothers and sisters and unite all our supporters instead of fighting", he added.
On her part, Bishop Wanjiru called on supporters from both sides to forget the past and build a stronger ODM in Nairobi. "Let us not be engaged in petty issues, we should work hard to popularize our candidate Dr.Raila Odinga" said Bishop Wanjiru. She lauded the Party Leader Dr. Odinga for showing leadership by uniting both factions for the good of the party. "I love my party so much and my prayer is that Dr. Odinga wins the Presidency to help build a strong and united Kenya" she added.
Mr. Kosgey said ODM will emerge stronger ahead of the general election and called on party members to remain steadfast in the party. "Nairobi is the bedrock of Kenyan politics and we want a united county in ODM so that we can sweep all the seats in the City in the general election" said Mr. Kosgey.
Mr. Kosgey said ODM will conduct free and fair nomination exercise for the party candidates in the general election. "We are democrats and we will not favour anyone during the nominations" he added.
Others who addressed the gathering included Nairobi Governor aspirants Evans Kidero and Philip Kisia. Among those who attended the meeting were nominated MP Rachael Shebesh and ODM Executive Director Ms. Janet Ong'era.07/10/12

Genius, the whole point of being a populist orator is to have the ability to read your crowd & go with the flow. You will have about as much luck limiting his off the cuff remarks as you would permanently securing the earthen dams at Budalangi. Something eventually spills over the top
