Kamalet,
This guy Michuki was only loyal to the golf playing bourgeois and had no time for the 'common man' that is a trait that he carried from pre to post colonial days.
Because of that he had no qualms in sanctioning extra judicial killings as long as it was not the ruling class receiving it.
His orders in internal ministry was to address the symptom of the problem and not the problem itself. By silencing the underclass using a shock and awe strategy he continued to protect interest of landowners from these 'pests' never asking why were these 'pests' doing what they were doing.
Justification of such brutality and asking the matter be left the parents of the youth to worry about is exactly the raw capitalist everyone-for-himself mantra common to this group where everything is expendable including lives as long as it is the voiceless and penniless whose utility only shows every 5 years at the ballot box.
Many of those parents in Muranga you mention do not have access to the net, knowledge or finances to offer any counter arguments. Together with their cousins languishing in IDP camps they probably would not appreciate such contempt.
Don't forget that when it was expedient, according to ICC ruling, the same youth were marshaled to protect the interest of the very people that had been killing them. And soon after wards they again started disappearing.....They masters power retention agenda having been fulfilled.
Hope you note the fallacy in your argument.....

I'm not knocking academic achievements, but you could be a Harvard graduate and still be dumber than dumb. One who comes to mind right away is George WBush. . Dubyah was a Yale man not a Harvard one. Kenya isn't the only country where power, money, & influence can assure you a bit of privilege when it comes to admissions. Kiraitu Murungi passed through Harvard but it didn't seem to polish him up much so your credential knocking is somewhat valid. b6kOMG, thanks so much for telling this. The point I was making is that you can go to an IV league school and still not have much to offer the world. Any more corrections, please don't hesitate.

Anyone who watched the video clip of Michuki's coffin being carried into the Consolata Shrine must have noticed Kalonzo's subtle attempt to push Raila away from the opportune photo op. This is how it went down. From the hearse, it was Kalonzo on the front left... truly carrying some heavy weight. On noticing the struggle, Raila dashes to assist Kalonzo… thereby taking over Kalonzo's prominent front left position. Raila, of course, bears no weight. He's just there to guide the coffin. Kalonzo appears miffed.
Politicians.
