KUdos Baba Jimmy!!
Yesterday. he did Kenyans proud by taming the parliamentarians selfishness.
while he also took issue with the degree requirement for legislatures,- something i also don't think it makes sense, i must commend him for the memorandum he timely wrote to August house men and women
Unlike the past where he has always taken his time to make his decisions, the nation must pass a toast of celebration to president Emilio for making such nick-time decision.
Jaramogi Jnr and Son of Tseikuru should also be congratulated for condemning MP's selfish act and Prevailing Upon President Kibaki.
Bravo Father of Nation!

Wilson:
Include me OUT when you raise your champagne glass to Emilio.
Mwai Kibaki's real legacy is ELECTORAL THEFT. The guy should be in Kamiti Maximum Security Prison for grand larceny.
Mwai Kibaki's real legacy is entrenching ethno-class cronyism and hegemony. There should be a special tribunal to try him on this.
Mwai Kibaki's real legacy is Anglo-Leasing, the Artur Brothers, the raid on the Standard; extra-judicial killings; the blundering, blubbering myopic misadventure in Somalia.
Do you agree with me Wilson?

I find it absurd that anyone in his right mind would still sit around questioning Kibakis electoral thievery. Even babies know that the man is a vote thief.
It’s sad to see that some people, who consider themselves smart, still having difficulty in accepting that Kibaki`s legacy is the above named theft and the violence that ensued immediately after. He almost turned the country into Somalia.
Kamale, you keep talking about the JAB guy. Who is he? Since you have information on what actually happened (leaked by JAB), why cant you release it here? I guess its not a state secret.

Judge kreigler emphasised that if one candidate stole the vote, the other also did the same and if one didnt the other should not be blamed to. i sincerely hope our Jukwaa boss will have time to read this.

Its obvious nobody can satisfy everybody, moreso when you are a leader. Kibaki has done some memorable things, some good others not soo good, this happens to all leaders, Narc was a letdown, pnu was, am sure ODM will after winning in 2013( unless a drastic change occurs in it) why do i believe so? Look at KKV Scandal, maize saga, Nhif saga etc people near kibaki planned anglo leasing, grand regency, etc those near raila planned the mentiond scandals. Anybody who expect change after 2013,with the current crop of politicians is very optimistic. You may give kibaki, Rao or VP congrats 4 Rejecting the bad law but where were they when mps increased there salaries, when they decided nt to pay taxes, i have no faith with kalonzo, uhuruto, Rao,muda coz tho' they mean well, the people around dont inspire anybody

Unlike you, Kibaki is privy to intelligence reports from all over Kenya and he must have been shocked by the message he got from the ground. Even MPs attempted to undo the damage a little too late! If there is anyone who has made nonsense of multiparty democracy, it is one Mwai Kibaki. He is solely responsible for poaching KANU members into cabinet in his first term and actually killing the official opposition, a critical aspect of democracy that has since ceased to exist in Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta then made history by crossing the floor abandoning his position and supporting the incumbent. Even in his own re-election, Mwai Kibaki happens to have put together a loose coalition of parties to campaing for his re-election. It was pathetic and sad to see a whole head of state who was elected by a landslide in 2003 visiting the NDC's of various parties in 2007 seeking to convince members of competing parties to support him in a party he formed at the last minute rather than those parties fielding their own candidates for president. By rejecting this bill, Mwai Kibaki merely is dancing to the wishes of the majority for he knows too well what it means to force to Kenyans what they do not want. He tried it in 2005 referendum and failed. He tried in 2007 and failed. Recently, he even made illegal judicial appointments and was left with egg on his face. Multiparty democracy has a meaning that Mwai Kibaki seem not to understand - 20 years since Kenya reverted to it. Mr. Wilson: Kindly spare us the hogwash.

Anyone believing the Kriegler hogwash about both sides stealing the elections is an imbecile. Only one side had the capacity to do that, and we all know which side it is.

I can see your a new member just as i am here. but dont take comfort there coz this is my second time in Jukwaa. To survive dancing the Undanceable James blunt tune "Good bye my lover", you need not attack Rao. we have Internal democracy but "freedom of expression" supercedes it. hope you now know.

Let us put stealing of votes behind us for now (although it’s not easy to see how kibaki clinched the victory after winning in just 2 provinces out of a total 8) and judge the old man on more important issue like the economy.
Well, many have argued that putting the economy in the growth path is the greatest legacy he leaves behind but I beg to disagree. In fact I dare say that whoever succeeds Kibaki will face a gigantic task of putting the economy in the right path. Look no further than the 2012/13 1.45 trillion budget to figure out what I am talking about. To meet this budget it is expected that about 800 billion (just enough for re-current expenditure) will be raised from taxes with the deficit being met through borrowing. This in turn will see public debt swell to about 2 trillion in 2014.
I am not an economist but I can imagine that if you run a business in that manner, you can close doors within 2/3 years. Therefore it isn’t quite clear where kibaki legacy hinges, perhaps opening up space for democracy?
