Is it too much to ask OO to avail Mutunga's written acceptance here...you know, so we dont continue calling some people liars?

Is it too much to ask OO to avail Mutunga's written acceptance here...you know, so we dont continue calling some people liars? I dont think it is healthy. If I were OO and I had it, I would not oblige... just my way of seeing it: it will not help.

Mutunga allowing himself and his office to get caught in this kind of controversy, shows a lax mind. Maybe he was the real professor lax in his collapsed marriage. Now he is not only bringing disrepute to his person, no, he is doing it to his office too.
I will say Forgiven for the last time, because he is a child learning how to walk in this high office. (He is from academia, and in that world one does not suffer easy any restrictions on his freedom of associations.) But he chose this office, and the burden he must bear.

It is a shame that it had to come to this; two well known personalities, friends and old comrades at that...now publicly accusing each other of lying against another. Well, it is almost a certainty that one of them must indeed be lying...and I wish I could simply ask them to ‘shake hands’ and get on with their lives as they should...if only for the sake of ‘saving face’...but now I am beginning to feel compelled to know the final truth... considering that one of them is our Chief Justice!
Someone is a liar in here...or so it seems. But who is it?
In other words; is our CJ an outright liar in such a high office?

(He is from academia, and in that world one does not suffer easy any restrictions on his freedom of associations.) But he chose this office, and the burden he must bear. Having a hard head is good for fighting oppression but of limited use in a job like Mutunga's. He should learn to seek good counsel and to think in-the-box (i.e. the CJ box) .... which would in fact be revolutionary, given that everyone and his dog these days is thinking outside-the-box. Someone should have advised him to immediately reject that invitation, or, if he had put himself in a position that required backtracking, to simply say, and only say, that he would not be attending the event. The Court of Public Opinion is like any criminal court: a suspect who takes the stand and talks too much runs the risk of damaging his own case. What a time for the CJ! On the left, he's got this harridan chasing him all over the place; on the right he's got Miguna Miguna, who was too much even for Raila.

Coming up: ICC trial-date announcement, Miguna's book, the start of election campaigns. And that's just the beginning. Wow. I won't be needing cable TV for the next few months.

When you have a CJ who cannot act independently as has been demonstrated here, you know the country is in trouble.

When you have a CJ who cannot act independently as has been demonstrated here, you know the country is in trouble. oh please as we used to say back in the day una exjaajaa (or exaggerate for those so inclined) blowing this thing way out of proportion Oh yeah. The country is in big trouble because the CJ is not going to Miguna's book launch. Raila must have called him to his office and ordered him not to go there or he will get caned in public. hehehhehehehe. People need to chill out. Like I said some people are going to try to turn this whole circus into a CJ bashing party and forget the book launch. Give your heads a shake. Whether the CJ had indicated earlier that he will be Miguna's Chief Guest or not is really not a big deal. The CJ may have agreed to attend in principle and was awaiting xyz. The CJ may have actually agreed to attend and has changed his mind. It is really not that much of an issue. I think Miguna's book can stand on its own two feet or may be they are four. Let those who want to read the book like me do so and let's have another line of entertainment. These CJ line is kind of dead. There is no need turn it into another big brouhaha as some are so desperately trying. There is nothing there. If there is one thing we know about Dr. Mutunga, it is that he is his own person and makes his calls as he sees them. Nobody is going to take that away from him. Let's look for other work.

hi einstein my brother
thanks for that clarification
am therefore guessing that not only is imitation the best form of flattery, but perhaps miguna's clone saw all these eggs flying about and invited himself to breakfast
as a friend of mine once upon a time asked one of the folks serving our table "omera, ni wewe omelete hii omelet "
thanks for the heads up, we will be on the lookout for miguna's clone.
bw. Oloo, so far jukwaa has not had many people (in fact no one as far as i can see) masquerade (take on a moniker of) as some prominent public figure as found in other blogs, facebook etc.
i don't think you should allow that to happen on jukwaa, what do you other folks think?

Adongo: Try to avoid being a spoilsport. This has been an unexpected bonus. Who would have imagined that the mere announcement of an event would turn out to be as huge as the event itself! It's like going to buy something and getting a free sample that's as big as the something itself.
I can't speak for others, but I am on a long vacation, and both my wife and my boss (not necessarily the same) insist that I not work at all. So, it's just Jukwaa. And what a time to be a member of Jukwaa! Small wonder Miguna is trying to sneak back in.

Now lets see how long it takes Mutunga to formulate an opinion on the addition of the word NOT to a certain clause in the Katiba, by his midnight partner, Githu Muigai. But perhaps he too is relaxed like you folks, and will only be firing blanks! It is a blank season you say! ;D~Cheers to that!

Now that Caroli Omondi is taking Miguna to court in what promises to be the super-bowl of good lawyers, Willy Mutunga should breathe a sigh of relief he did not attend that launch! But that he even considered it! I still think he deserves a kick in his loose butt!

But that he even considered it! I still think he deserves a kick in his loose butt! yup this is exactly as anticipated right here on jukwaa. we all knew that miguna would be hit by defamation suits from the guys we were not meant to focus on. and not surprisingly i believe its the little details that will derail this plan, i.e his PEV outburst, the allegations against caroli, isahakia etc. lets see how this plays out also contrary to his claims that he will defend himself in court, that will happen only for a little while, but knowing the kenyan court system, he wont have the time. he will eventually have to hire someone. will be waiting to see him teach law in the law courts reminds of one moses kuria that just slipped off the face of the earth
