THE MOSES KURIA AND BABA YAO FERDO LEAD THE WAYWatch carefully. There is the cliche a picture is worth a thousand words. But sometimes what you see is not what you get. Situations need divination, futures need to be told, and messages got right. Moses is a possessed man. Baba Yao Waititu and Moses Kuria are beaming. It is not a PR beam switched on for the cameras, I dare tell. They are emotionally in their element, and there is an inner radiation of dynamism. Two young aggressive Gikuyu politicians whose constituencies ring the Capital city are on a roll. These guys are scrambling at the head of a movement. Whether they know it or not, it is a historical imperative. They are emerging. There is a vacuum there to be stumbled into and filled. Watch those saluting pangas and the populism, absorb the potent symbolism of their jubilant waves in the air, held aloft by energised young men on the march, ubilantly stumbled on a mission. And there is a good one, Waititu, to save the tribe from the ravages of (1) Illicit Brew and the powder-selling governor, but (2) on the devious template of the anti-Luo-specific xenophobia of Moses Kuria, the energy is canalised to the cause of Queen Anne Waiguru whose defence, they hint, can not entirely be entrusted to the dilly-dallying Muthamaki Kenyatta II. Watch his royal highness here going O O so charming and charmed by the devil in his lair, Kisumu! So, just like that fateful day when (shetani ashindwe!) the feeble-minded son of Jomo mentally collapsed and thought he could surrender the headship of the TNA ticket to lacklustre Mudavadi, citing his ICC woes as disqualification, he was frog-marched back to the top of the ticket with William Ruto in tow, so too is he now being warned that letting Waiguru go would unleash forces he better not tempt. Listen to this comical observation: ''Mose Kuria's remarks are also in contravention of chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity, that requires all public and state officers to uphold the dignity of the offices they hold!''NB: If Shollei, Mutunga, Ahmednassir and the whole cream of the Judiciary organised in the JSC were themselves supreme scumbugs with no idea of this --chapter six-- requirement of the constitution, now some people want the clause selectively used to persecute Moses!? That is the kind of victimisation which catapults MK in a heroism whose consequences would be terrible. But there is more. Two ebullient, articulate and street smart HoM (Mumbi) politicians, have wittily managed to (1) reconfigure the criticism of corruption within the NYS, turning the questioning of whether the buck stops at Waiguru's office to mean the Gikuyu youth are being fought by the UNCUT. It is like bread is being removed from their mouths by the hated Luo, and even if not exactly buttered bread, surely a man, or boy, should hasten to defend his meagre daily manna with a panga! But when the criminal threatening his blessed daily manna from the Muthamaki is an uncut boy, well, we all know the remedy, don't we. (2.) Kuria has ruthlessly ethnicised the narrative, politicised and additionally partialised it, and, inadvertently or not, effectively slotting or superimposing it upon an already existent national faultline. The emotional resonance so achieved is a devilish stroke in mass, negative mobilisation of the HoM lumpem, and as things heat up toward the next elections, a priming of an explosive mine. Note, that Ferdinand Waititu has never really been a Gikuyu supremacist. I think representing the city cosmopolitan constituency of Embakasi and then aiming to be governor of the capital city, needed a different ideological outlook, one more open as it were, outgoing, accommodative and cosmopolitan. And he Waititu, actually, like the legendary Kaa Ngumu Gumo, had managed to build a rainbow coalition of desperate loyalties across the ethnic divides of Nairobi. In deed, if internal ELITE Gikuyu politics had not interceded to cut his feet from under him, by inserting the former director of the stock exchange Jimnah Mbaru as a spoiler, Baba Yao Ferdo Waititu would have likely out-fleet-footed Dr. Evans Odhis Kidero for the governorship post. Mbaru prooned Baba Yao's vote. MACHINATIONS, KABETE SOLUTION. Kidero who is the immediate former CEO of Mumias Sugar garnered 692,483 votes against Waititus 617,839 votes/FILE The thinktank strategising for the Gikuyu financial oligarchy, who have other (posh monopolist) plans with the Nairobi governorship than the deemed- uncouth Baba Yao, could not ignore neither his trouble-shooting talents nor grassroots popularity and was forced to hunt for a solution to this problem; Waititu had not proved himself susceptible to financial buy-outs as the think-tank originally had planned when they convinced Uhuru Kenyatta to back J. Mbaru. Waititu's attachment to politics is real, and so it had to be political deal: KABETE, Kabete whose Mpig Muchai had fortunately died. (this is the ruthless world of trading futures, so a death that leaves a seat is fortunate: every crown prince blesses the day the incumbent dies! that is just the heart of man.) Catapulted to a near ethnic homogeneous electorate, it is only logical that a political animal like Waititu reads the streets; and his devastating win in the consequent by-election, indicating he has enough gasoline in his lungs to fry Kabogo in Kiambu, has given him a new lease to aim higher. This complex character, urbanised product of Eastlands Nairobi and no quitter, now combines forces with the demagogue and highly narrow-minded Gikuyu supremacist, Moses Kuria. It is a bomb, because they do not fear the street. On the contrary, they are street smart. And the Gikuyu street is majorly Mungiki. And ever since the clamp down which saw Maina Njenga and the old dons neutralised, this lot has been 'widowed' so to speak. It is not that Moses Kuria and Ferdo are Mungiki kingpins. It is that their brand of politics inevitably leads them to be the nearest political representatives of the marginalised Gikuyu lumpen. The greatest organisation of this Lumpen was the Mungiki. The Muthamaki Kenyatta is of course from the family which created this lumpem in the first place --by grabbing their land in the homeland, and then (2) mismanaging the political process during the Kibaki tenure, such that hordes of diaspora youths were uprooted from the Rift Valley, some of them returning to the homeland and its Nairobi periphery slums, where, abandoned, they have found solace in drink and drugs and utter destitution, and touched Baba Yao Ferdo's heart. Amen. This is the disturbing, forgotten mob Waititu's anti-alcohol drive is aimed at rescuing. Baba Yao has never been a more appropriate nickname! On the other side, Mose's Kuria provides an ideological alibi. A pity Waititu cannot find better a thinktank. And Uhuru Kenyatta, facing re-election, is checkmated. Gotta keep Waiguru giving them a hope of a semblance of jobs, or else? Or else what? Onward Christian/ethnic soldiers marching as to war, (looking upon the matyrs/murderers who have gone before)Or else there will be an OCCUPY MOVEMENT arising as a mutant. Occupying stolen public property -like the land on which the Weston Hotel is built for instance. When mobs start to march on breweries without a care whether the business is legitimate or not, ostensibly to save the nation from rot, it means the consciousness is already there to confiscate obviously stolen public resources. But do mobs really confiscate? No, they burn and loot! (And William Ruto knows they would do that with suspected homosexuals too! Clever man, lining up sacrificial lambs for the Roman mobs to burn lest they turn on him!) But we must watch for a reaction to the action of Kuria. It is highly provocative and sensationally threatening. If youths can be mobilised and supplied with pangas in Gatundu to cut whoever earns their dislike, so too can Maasai morans be, and Kalenjin warriors be, and Kisii, Luo, Kamba and Luhya youths. --every nationality their interahamwe. There is no shortage of youth in Kenya to big up the ranks of dread tribal militia in Kenya. Me would rather one must nuture the social fabrics of an infant nation being built, just like one tends a plantling, without which it just wilts and dried-out disintegrates. Kenya is such a seedling. So as we bang ethnic drums in codes of hate covertly or in the open, the agenda obviously is to unravel Kenya. We can not pretend otherwise. We all know how that goes! We can as well prepare. -For a velvet divorce I mean!

Some Kenyans have clearly not learned some lessons they ought to have learned by now. And these things, however big, always start small-small.
Still, some have undoubtedly learned one lesson: for justice, don't wait to get it in Kenya or in Europe; get it on your own, right there and then.
It is a combination that does not bode well for the future.

IS NYS THE WRONG MENTAL 'PREPARATE' FOR OUR IDLER YOUTH? There are other ideological issues about the nature of the NYS which have been lost in the furore around the culpability or not of the matriarch Anne. She is apparently so important that an attack on her needed a full-throttled mobilisation of all forces to her defence, as if her exit, even if temporary like that of the other cabinet secretaries suspected to have picked the pockets of their dockets, would be a fatal breach of the Jubilee fence-line, and the government overrun. Indeed, the most rabid forms of negative emotion are now being marshalled by the likes of the Moses Kuria to her defence. But how about the institute itself, the NYS itself as a paramilitary organisation, with a legal clause making it an appendage of the security forces, when need be? And most importantly, how healthy is its methodology of organisation. My own (politico-economic) opinion of the usefulness of the NYS I made known elsewhere, and I will repeat here later for substantiation. But I noticed some opponents raise highly significant points. I will avail two essays articulating this otherwise for debate, if I can troll them up. -O yes I did. They need a careful read not least because of their libertarian ideological content. ie(--REGIMENTATION, PARAMILITARY ROBOTICS are not THE NEEDED TALENTS neither is MILITARY DISCIPLINE THE APPROPRIATE 'schooling for our youth!'') www.nation.co.ke/lifestyle/DN2/Disband-NYS/-/957860/2768474/-/qmhq9hz/-/index.html ON DISCIPLINE what is the nature of military discipline? It is regimentation and obedience to the order. It is anti-intellectual, anti-creativity, anti-individual, anti-scientific. Still I think desperate situations require desperate measures. Do you need to perform military drills to be thought of as ORGANISED? I admit that question has me a bit running scared! (military discipline always looks a special case of organisation for retards. Without the regimentation they would be lost to the devil whose workshop we all know!) So far I have followed the NYS hullabaloo, I aint caught a powerful rejoinder to the likes of Wodongo. Note that his delivery has nothing to do with Waiguru, but is an institutional critique. NO 2: on the legalistics. www.the-star.co.ke/news/new-nys-militia-waiting-explode#sthash.IvBEUxWG.dpbs continued.

The NYS is a good tool for youth discipline (you require that in life!) especially when you consider that most of those recruited into the service are people that could not go beyond secondary school for either not being too clever or lacking the discipline to see the sense in education. The training offered by the service is a lot more vocational than professional, though I actually know people that have moved on from the service to being quite successful.
But beyond being a tool of discipline it is also a good pool of political support considering the overwhelming number of young people in this country. Winning the lot over either through the service or through the Waiguru doctrine of getting youths in opposition areas (read Kibera and Kisumu) to see the government doing something for them does give you a new political claim to these youths. The demos in Nairobi and Kisumu is perhaps testament of this.
It is actually sexy to criticise as the character quoted by Jakawanga does. He does not see how a regimental life in NYS Barracks or carrying shovels makes sense within the life of an NYS serviceman. He refuses to tell us what alternatives that the several tens of thousands of young people in the service would face in the absense of the NYS. He refuses to tell us why he thinks the regimental or military discipline of youths who could not complete the education system is bad and how else he would like the youngsters managed. He does not even bother to tell us why the public service offered by the NYS is bad - he cannot even know what the NYS did in Budalangi where they built d**es and the scourge of flooding is no longer there! He cannot even acknowledge how much public money was saved when the NYS was used to build a perimeter fence around JKIA....but then ignorance is bliss. We love to criticise and never offer alternative solutions to what we criticise!
Where I went to school, there were at least a thousand very poor boys who came from very difficult circumstances and the only thing going for them was their brains. They went through a disciplined and regimental life that still allowed them the freedom of thought. In the end most of them have excelled in life notwithstanding their most difficult beginnings. That discipline and regimental life they led in school now serves them very well in whatever they do.
So yes it is true as Miguna said that the Nyayo Philosophy was a key ingredient in the pre-university service undertaken at NYS. But that was Moi's thinking of how to indoctrinate university students into believing in a 'philosophy' he thought was the solution for Kenya. But I do know of people who following the discipline and regimental life they had in NYS are a much better people and are grateful for the toughening they received in NYS!

A PERSPECTIVE: THE FIGHT FOR FERDINAND WAITITU. An idle mind is the devil's workshop! Lord! O God of all Creation! Do thy save us from Moses Kuria Turning Waititu's mind into his workshop! Here is Moses Kuria: If it is all to defend the homegirl Anne, with the topic deliberately misconstrued and misrepresented for manipulation, then, taking a look at the following ..
and adopting the same disingenuous and hatefully manipulative reasoning as Kuria, would we not expect ( eg Nandi Alfred Keter to mobilise his) arrow-and-bow-wielding Kalenjin warriors to defend the URP homegroup from MK-orchestrated purge?Still I wouldn't join Kenyans in demanding the arrest of Moses. No! First things first: The nation is run by suspects and indictees on crimes against humanity --deeds already done! Kuria is merely pathetic incitement, there is no deed yet. (Uhuru Kenyatta was acquitted under dubious circumstances: a monumental continental effort to scuttle the proceedings!) I would rather we arrest Ruto for grabbing land, Kidero for destroying Mumias, Ndung'u the ex CBK thief, Kimemia and Iringo for you know what, the whole present and past JSC for need I tell you,
. the list is surely inexhaustible (Uhuru Kenyatta has the shortest version, total: 175 individuals!) Kuria knows he is sitting pretty. If his private panga-wielding militia decide to defend him from harassment, will Nkaissery send the GSU to President Kenyatta's hometurf? And anyway, Nkaisery himself has just bought a ksh. 900M junk chopper for the police. He (seing boy Boinnet is a scared willy) must first arrest himself, if he is serious about anything! Moses Kuria just needs to be shown THE RIGHT THING TO DO WITH HIS MILITIA. But he may be too far gone in medieval superstition, so we better concentrate of Baba Yao Ferdinand Waititu. As I said earlier, his social background is urban complicated and puts him in a vantage place to build cross-ethnic alliances. Kenya is rapidly urbanising. AGENDA 1. Here: he should convince Kuria to lead his NYS militia in a march to [ Machakos] Yatta and RECLAIM THE GRABBED NYS LAND: sTUPID BOY Moses from Kiambu's Gatundu is busy stoking the fires of ethnic hatred instead of really defending the NYS interest: reclaim her looted properties, so that the bill Waiguru is sending to (cabfinsec )Rotich can come down! freeing more manna for the hoi-polloi he represents! Now, would that not be an ace national service than goading uncut Wsterners to engage in an arms race, stockpiling matchetes too? But ace public service is (mereckons) more in the alley of Ferdinand Waititu. I saw him leading a gang in Embakasi, throwing stones at landgrabbers and repossessing public school land. --yes, you heard that right! reposessing! 03:25: '' Niliona mimi nilikuwa nafanya kazi mzuri. Sabaabu, hakuna watu wanaweza kubaliwa sa hii, waende shule, wakate kiwanja ya shule, wauze plot. Tena wauze sa ile mimi Waititu niko mjumbe! Na wananchi pale mimi wakiniona, mimi ndiye wanaona kama security yao ya kila kitu. Unfortunately Waititu was wrong: there are still people who do it! (grab school land). Reporter says the first time Mp was arrested for assaulting some people HE SAID were part of a plot to grab land. -The reporter did not bother to go back and ASCERTAIN THE FACTS. Well I did, and indeed WAITITU WAS RIGHT: the school plot had been grabbed and was being fenced off by private developers! (Not Singhs) Waititu then was arrested for defending public property against grabbers! -THIS IS UNIQUE! enough to make him the politician of the decade in my books. Last time I saw that was Wangari Mathai beigh shot at for preventing Baba wa Taifa Arap Moi from privatising Karura forest and a section of Uhuru Park Nairobi to himself and his son Gideon! This Waititu streak is how I came to explain why the pacted landgrabbing elite, Gikuyu or Luo or Kalenjin or Kamba, in a cross-party national consensus, were and are out to make sure Ferdo is kept out of the governorship of Nairobi. -They say he is uncouth, unpolished, unwashed, primitive! What say you? Mesays I did my own thinking, and concluded, a man who is arrested for chasing off landgrabbers off a school reserved plot, is exactly the one I want for Nairobi and Kenya. He is most likely to effect the NDUNG'U REPORT! (remember even the great reformer Agwambo and his progressive sidekick at lands, Jim Orengo, when they ran the land docket, just like Ngilu, Kimunya and all, never heard of this Ndung'u report! And now, neither has the nolonger-identical twins, the Uhuruto complex, have a notion of this 'mythical' report!) Moses Kuria in colonising and running away with Waititu, would achieve a victory over Kenya as much as was achieved by those who assassinated JM Kariuki. That is how I view these things. So, the question remains: How can Waititu become Nairobi governor next elections (Kiambu is a drunken back water better left for retards like Kabogo and the Muigai-wa-Jomo-protege Moses Kuria!). AGENDA 2. Baba Yao simply has to read the Ndung'u report and make a DETAILED list of all public LAND grabbed in Nairobi. Then announce the mother of all marches to reclaim them back for the public and build cheap estates on some of them thereto appropriate. Here is an example of a rich picking: CJ Appointed a committee to INVESTIGATE? Mere delaying tactics. The land cartels have already disbanded the EACC and are having Tobiko on the run. Waititu will be my man. Given the Mumias history of Kidero and his impeccable elite pedigree, I count him with the grabbers, (sad for the grandchildren of the hero Tom Mboya, a known Mr. Clean.) NB: If a man with the formidable political talents of Ferdinand Waititu does not have something useful and positive to mobilise the ground for, he will completely be captured and used by hatemongers like the Moses Kuria, quick to realise his explosive potential and recruit him. I am battling with Moses Kuria for the mind of Ferdinand Waititu. HELP! The Baba Yao man is too talented to be allowed to degenerate into a mere prehistoric Gikuyu xenophobe. Would be a terrible national loss. A loss Wanjiku cannot afford, seeing would-be generals like Ababu are, to put it mildly, mercenary lackey sergeants at best! And I will be back!

Meanwhile, even as the Presidential In-house Press Unit was overdoing it with offside propaganda points like the following
.
. it still served to underscore the primitiveness of the of the local political elite. When you ignore ABC's in your home, someone from afar will move in and fill for you the vacuum. Even the vacuum in your head, which is why, as we saw elsewhere, some clerical Tom Dick and Harry white World Bank and the IMF, find the need to patronise, shepherd and condescendingly remind two top economists from Kenya, from the best of the best of the Ivy's, that the way they are running the Kenyan shilling and economy is a sh!t rate. Yes, MoF Rotich and CBK Njoroge are, in this comparative, as vermin to the World Bourgeoisie, as the Luo political elite is vermin to the Gikuyu comprador running the Kenyan purse. This comprador class has run away with the National Youth service, scoring a massive, national propaganda advantage, pinning CORD as a recalcitrant sabotaging outfit. -- Raila embezzled Kazi Kwa Vijana Funds (which essentially was the NYS hub), and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka hived off Yatta NYS lands!
Economic saboteurs! And they dare point fingers at William Ruto's meager 1/4acre plot containing the Weston! Here below is my ksh. 40M worth of OLD FISCALISM. And which I want to expand and extrapolate! That was mid February, early this year as I reacted to the tomb-like silence of the TNA-honcho- Onyango-Oloo-led Lake Basin Development Authority. Given that the analysis behind my revisiting Old Fiscalism still holds, and, further, the availability of easy cash, seeing governors are on to motorcades of 40M-fuel-guzzling SUV's and presidential suites in international hotels, I think the logical development is for every county to launch its local County Youth Service, compulsory for every unemployed youth, every school drop-out. Travelling in style on Wanjiku's purse! Emirates first Class Suites, are Bedrooms.Ever heard of the term HAIR-CUT? Not bad for a governor or president of a jigger-infested polity to travel a modest BUSINESS ECONOMY class! For starters, I have asked some construction engineer to calculate for me how many Youth-Hours he thinks he could need to construct the Great anti-Alshabab Wall, 800Km in a year or so! Working those youth hours back to human numbers, there is a job there for 4 million youths. 1. How long does it take 1 youth to crush 1 wheelbarrow aggregate? (how many supertonnes of kokoto do you need for the 800km? A supertonne = 10,000kg. 2. Then the trenches, foundations, and the rest.
NB: fellow tells me there is a computer programme where he just punches the numbers in, varying the variables as the situation calls for. Definition of a youth-hour can also vary, to reflect a higher or lower rate of exploitation as per national priorities!). I asked him for a totally manual model, with little mechanisation, maximum Hoover Dam construction technology!)Now, if one can't be bothered with this silly land-grabbing idea of a wall between Kenya and Somalia, there are surely better alternatives in each and every county, upon which to expend the awesome labour reserve of our youth, to great national benefit. Waiguru and Jubilee's target of 300,000 NYS graduates at the end of 4 years is therefore peanuts. The idea is a GRAND national mobilisation of idle labour, IN TOTO. Nairobi alone would cough up not less than 2 million youths in a month of recruitment! (going by the numbers which turned up for the aborted police recruitment!) Now where is the book-keeper to tell me there is no money in Kenya to afford this program for 5 years of a pilot scheme? That there is no money to pay 4m youth in national productive labour, the minimum 350ksh/day? Because that is the only real question. (4m x ksh.350) is the projected daily bill. Methinks this bill is easy math for the Harvard-Yale duo at the top of finance! That is the way my mind works, you got a tough problem, you consult the best. They fail, you recall their pay. Because then they are proven do-nothing parasites, mere worms in the bowels of Wanjiku. (No such thing as a free lunch, don't they say?) So I expect every governor and MCA to mobilise his 'personal militia', the Moses Kuria of Gatundu in Kiambu has, upside down, seen far . Because while he plots murder, we plot labour. While he plots to shed blood, we sweat in toil to build Kenya. Same idea, totally different results! Let us choose to walk upright toward the future! So lets throw down the challenge, and see what my dear Mumbi Waiguru is made of! Ati 300,000 recruits in a country with 10 million unemployed youth! I she nuts! Where is the drive, O my queen!? Where is the imagination, O Mylady? Where is the competence, O my super cabineet minister!? where is the daring, O my sweet Anne! (Mutahi gave you a raw deal!) Yap, prophet Mutahi Ngunyi should be ashamed of himself! A peanuts service for 40M! I prefer to think big, and for free! -Pro Bono, or God's Work!

it is becoming a zonal country..here is our Masaa Lady aka Charity Ngilu Her remarks in defence of Mr Musyoka over claims that he may have grabbed National Youth Service land in Machakos County are simply shocking. According to her, the land belongs to the Kamba community and cannot be taken away from them. The implication here is that nobody should question an irregular acquisition of land if the beneficiary is a member of the community. www.nation.co.ke/oped/Editorial/Charity-Ngilu-Kalonzo-Musyoka-Land-Machakos/-/440804/2789232/-/tomi3/-/index.htmlthen we have been reading another grand lady aka Naomi Sidi Kalenjins unite their votes, the Luhya scatter theirs The Luhya have scattered their very considerable vote in every multiparty poll since the restoration of political pluralism. Compare this to the fact that only once in the multiparty era has the Kalenjin vote gone to the loser, and the community remained out of government for one election cycle – in 2002, when Mwai Kibaki trounced Uhuru Kenyatta and downed Kanu. In 2007 they voted for the loser again, this time Raila, but ended up in government through the expedient of the Grand Coalition regime that meant there was no opposition for a five-year cycle. - See more at: www.the-star.co.ke/news/what-coast-can-learn-voting-patterns-rift-valley#sthash.Fu8is3Dj.dpuf

Podp, What do you see? and do you see what I see? The hottest conglomerate of aggregated real estate in Kenya is this entity called Nairobi. Also the Capital city, but once upon a time, the place of cold water. In less than a century, its value has sky-rocketed, and, from a simple oasis if one were to calculate the multiplier factor, surely it would be of an astronomical denomination. All tribes of the world, and all animals in the thicket, have reaped fortunes and fortunes in the meantime, except of course the original, historical owners, namely the Maasai. To avoid the sorry fate of these docile Maas, utterly dispossessed and reduced to aimless livestock in reserves, the new gospel according to Charity seems to be: grab your own historical land before some foreigner does! NB: The whiteman grabbed the land, and he was fought, that the land return to the natives. But come independence, the street smart native elite just grabbed the vacated land for themselves. In other words, the grabbing itself was not what was fought and what Uhuru would adress, nay, rather, the sticking point was that it (the grabbing) was done by a foreigner -(the whiteman!). This is the parallel now. The Ngilu doctrine. Grabbing is good, so long it is a local boy! (That is also how it comes that Gikuyu peasants called settlers --new word for foreigner-- were cleansed out of the rift valley, yet the master grabber of land in the Rift Valley, Daniel Arap Moi, was left untouched. he is a local boy who grabbed local land, no problem in Kenya.Remember when a politician accused of stealing maize from the national granaries was interviewed over the theft on a local vernacular station. His answer was legendary -' 'ni siku gani mtu anaweza kuiba mali yake!? Si sisi ndiye tunalima maindi nchi hii!'so, it is the same ideology in boomerang. Where is the shock!? How can a Kamba steal Kamba land!? Isn't he simply taking back what the government grabbed from the Kambas without compensation in the colonial days!Let us hope for the sake of Kenya, that Maasais continue to be unimaginative, and do not calculate with interest and present the bill owed them by Kenya, on account of the prime real estate area called Nairobi. (imaginative is when they declare the Lenana agreements 'odious'!) it is a comedy show in Kenya, but the subtext is chilling. The Kenyan state is banned from exercising land rights in TRIBAL homelands! (tribal? are the tribes nations or not!?)

HERO NATIONAL WAITITU Before Ferdinand Waititu moved, nobody did.The nation couldn't care less about the death toll nor the scum afflicted. Then Baba Yao was moved, and he moved, and, Lo! the whole of Kenya is now running up and down in a fearsome pogrom on illicit brew. With interesting collateral damage like Keroche. --Yawa! Ferdinand Waititu hero national! Rage against the bad drink! And the son of Jomo now claims it is his DIRECTIVE which is setting the pace in the now national msako or mseto. I can't wait for Waititu to hearken to Wanjiku's plea on grabbed lands! Here is the cabinet secretary holding brief at Lands, proving himself a total buffoon and clown. With fellows like that at lands, after the Orengos and Kimunyas, is the writing not clear on the wall! No, if it were, Uhuru Kenyatta would issue a directive: REPOSSESS ALL STOLEN LANDS, ata kama ni zangu zenye baba wangu aliniachia! ata kama Mama Ngina analia!! Woi woi woi! when Maa people start petitions over land in Nairobi! it could the old greek tale of Pandora and her box! beware kenya!

What Kenya needs is a leader who is above tribalism, a man who is brave enough to resist the sectarian demands from his own ethnic group and who will ensure that the whole population is dealt with fairly. Regrettably, given the behaviour of the electorate, who seem in general to have voted along tribal lines we are a long way from that. www.opendemocracy.net/article/democracy_power/kenya_roots_crisisthat was during 2008 period and one cycle later we are like Sisyphus of old Jamaica....Prominent among the features of the literature of this period was the emphasis on social realism and communal experience, as against individual fortunes. While the bulk of Jamaica’s wealth was owned by the white establishment and middle class who constituted a minute percentage of the population, the majority of the blacks were the urban dispossessed who inhabited over-congested slums and lived a deprived existence. These slum dwellers frequently adopted survival strategies to combat their exclusion from the Island’s wealth. www.bjournal.co.uk/paper/BJASS_3_1/BJASS_03_01_07.pdfit continues....Also, most of the blacks were barely literate and could not hold down steady jobs. Consequently, self-exploration and definition were prominent features of the literature of this period as were the emphasis on social realism and the focus on communal experience, as against individual fortunes. and there in we see why other than Europeans, Asians, Gema, Kalenjin, Kisii the rest Kamba, Luhyia, Luo, etc. are yet to have any tangible contribution as individual (tech)entrepreneurs so land offers an easy path for takeoff. the late Mutula Kalonzo with his land investment was showing a way to investing ones shillings. the trail is spreading. another repeat this time with Bull Fighter playing squirrel In The Children of Sisyphus, the Rastas are led by Brother Solomon. They constitute a small weird separatist group who base all their hopes on the possible repatriation to Africa. They are complacent due to their implicit and naïve belief in this repatriation and because of this, they are unable to mobilize themselves either to change their personal circumstances or to pose an organized threat to the bourgeoisie. These Rastas explain away their personal misfortunes as being part of life’s trials which must be endured before the coming of the millennium. www.bjournal.co.uk/paper/BJASS_3_1/BJASS_03_01_07.pdf

NAKURU IS A GIKUYU TOWN REALLY?
On the gut side of the republic, where the gut feelings reside, the belly is running hot and politically incorrect. The ideological vacuum at the top is revealing itself daily in an ever more diseased fashion. If the level headed wont rise to be counted, time and tide wont wait for them, the moment seized by rogues.
The pressure of the forthcoming elections heightens both intra and extra tensions within every political polity. That means Intra ethnic tension, intra-coalitional tension; and then inter ethnic and inter-coalitional.
NB: There are also intra organisational tensions like we see in the frequent spats between the heavyweights of KNUT, secretary general Wilson Sossion and chairman Muli, but is for another day as it is not necessarily related to the national, general election calendar.
Intra-ethnic tension are stuff like we saw during the Kericho by-election where the two Ruto's and one Moi were squaring off. Also, we continue to see it in the fireworks which have been aimed at Nick Salat of KANU, after he came up in public support of the CORD anti-IEBC demos. There is Alfred Mutua Kalonzo Musyoka tug of war in Ukambani, and another example of intra-ethnic tension is the Kabogo-Waititu rumble in Kiambu. This later is a squaring off with manifest implications.
Kabogo went out to antagonise the Kalenjin with a public announcement, that William The Singh Ruto is dreaming foolish, if he be relying on the Gikuyu vote to come him in, into the presidency. Mutahi Ngunyi more or less agrees. On the other hand, The Moses Kuria-Waititu horde has identified anti-Luo xenophobia as the best tool to mobilise Gikuyu grassroots opinion. This means, whichever way, the house of Mumbi is herded into a siege mentality. The marauding Kalenjin who burnt them out of the fertile Rift Valley must not ride Gikuy votes to state house, nor should the troublesome and fishy Luo captained by the evil Odinga, ever waylaying the Muthamaki to snatch the bone off Mumbi's claws, be the beneficiary. Die Odinga Die! is the demented battle cry.
That these are the popular flagposts of Gikuyu mobilisation is a clear symptom of an implosion at the top --that top which talks of an eternal covenant as the vision. It is like only extreme nationalism, totalitarian fascism, can stabilise the confusion, can solidify the house of Mumbi. It is like otherwise the poor and dispossessed Gkuyu youth could turn their backs on their thieving nobility which has historically always neglected them, save for a few opportunistic uses and abuses. That historical neglect is why the Gikuyu riff-raff organised into the Mungiki welfare association, to take care of themselves by any means. The rest of the neglected youth have tended to find solace in drink, poisonous sexually debilitating stuff manufactured and distributed to them by their own Nyumba nobility. Yap, ethnic solidarity at the top? Naah. Keep them drunk or dead, in any case never let them think. Then there is this risk: if they can be lost to drink, they can also be lost to an alternative ideological approach!
And that is a worrying thought for every political wheeler and dealer on the ground. And I grant Moses Kuria's instincts are sharp, and so are Fedo's. He is their father you know!
Now, this hate in Moses Kuria which makes him the Pope or High Priest of the anti-Luo strand in Gikuyu Xenophobia, is it pathological or merely an opportunistic ruse? Is he a conviction Gikuyu chauvinist and a genuine anti-Luo xenophobe, or is merely an expedient charlatan who (instinctively) imports when to adorn the wolfish mask, to whip up negative emotions in order to mobilise the base, generate a consensus, hold the zone, a homogeneous voter block, and go places himself. ---And which ideology is it which purports to override all internal contradictions in a system? Bingo! These could all be carefully calculated provocation.
And what really can the well-heeled Gikuyu politicians do in the face of these grassroots rogues? Their options are not many, neither are they strong. Some will recall the case of Waititu in Nairobi, how the well-heeled plotted to remove him from the ticket of Governor. They launched, fronted and backed Jimnah Mbaru. It was a massacre. Jimnah was a no match punching bag, and he is called a traitor of sorts on the streets because the numbers say without him Waititu could have romped over Kidero. Mbaru was a mere spoiler, the revenge of an impotent nobility. That same nobility hit on an idea to set up Kabogo for the fall, to be Waititu's meal so that the fatter Nairobi can be gamed (wheeled and dealed) differently. And it is not like Kabogo is willing to be a sacrificial lam dying without a whimper!
Waititu too, knows the Gikuyu nobility would want him quicker dead than Raila. Moses Kuria perceives this too. There is then a race for the hearts of the Gikuyu streets, riff and raff's. He who has the Gikuyu youth has the vote, and can subtly intimidate. The Gikuyu nobility where Uhuru Kenyatta belongs has the money and power, so the likes of Moses Kuria and Ferdinand Waititu can not compete them on that plane. Instinctive politicians that they are, Moses and Waititu fall back on the only thing they know which electrifies enough to neutralise money. Ultra-nationalism. And ultra nationalism, in this case ethnic Gikuyu, must have an object of hate. Kuria chooses the Luo because of Raila's enigmatic power, ready made to fit an already existent, historical narrative of Gikuyu Luo antagonism.
The other day we saw Raila and Uhuru at state house, like they were working on a deal. That is dangerous for the separatists. Creates confusion. Kuria is trying to cut off Uhuru Kenyatta from such a tete-a-tete. He is trying to generate so much grassroots animosity toward Raila, such that Uhuru Kenyatta will look like a foolish sell-out, weakly bending to a kerher. The son of Jomo would then appear a worthless Muthamaki, incapable of defending the Nyumba. By the time he comes to campaign for William Ruto, he would be a laughing stock, his influence zero on the ground.
The goalposts are being moved. And because the institutes are dysfunctional, they have no moral authority which can carry a credible arbitration. Moses Kuria to appear in court? Who wants to take a Kenyan court seriously?

Moses Kuria has a point in fact: As far as I know---from "cultural knowledge"---most Luo men are not "cut". So, in the interests of love, peace, and national unity, perhaps they should simply grit their teeth, jump into the cold water, and become men. (Or do they first become men and them jump into the cold water? I'm hazy on such details ...) Then they too would be capable of leadership in our Great Nation and could lead and might lead and ... Or maybe just eat big.
And what's with the endless stone-throwing? Move into the 21st! Get guns and bullets and bombs and whatever! And try looking at it from Junior's viewpoint: 40 or 50 or ... years ago, these Troglodytes were at it, stoning My Daddy! And here they are today! And I'm working on the 21st Vision XXXX! (A historical note from elsewhere: Bush I, Saddam, Bush II. Point: people, even the most manly of men, tend to be very sensitive about assaults on their daddies.) Maybe they are just a vengeful lot. Bound to be unhappy with progress and standard-gauge railroads. But Old-Testament stones in the 21st !?!?

WHEN HATE MONGERING IS POPULAR Can Kenyans be so easily swayed by stupid politicians, or is there a deeper malaise, and these hate speeches, if that is what they are, are just symptoms of a structural dysfunction, and the Roman crowd is game as usual!? --ever agile to let off steam whatever the way... www.the-star.co.ke/news/2016/06/14/drums-of-war-police-move-in-to-fix-hate-politicians_c1368624?page=0,1 HATE politicians says the star! I actually have not found the hate speeches. Calling for the eviction of Luos from Nakuru is not hate speech, it is incitement to
. I am longing to see the charge sheet if any! Anyways. Here is the sh!t about hate. It does not disappear because it stays unspoken. Neither does it reduce its intensity in silence. It is like the ban of contact in public and elsewhere between opposite sexes who are neither married nor related in some Islamic countries. The result is a diseased relationship between male and females. They have become states of deep perversion festering on denial! SINGING KENYA NCHI NZURI HAKUNA MATATA! Jambo x2 Bwana! --I know this song by heart. It used to be on the radio always together with those Moi forever songs! I do not mind singing it with much mischief on my forehead. Sociological schizophrenia is a daily diet of those under foreign occupation or local oppression. The catharsis the dismembered personality to be reconstituted is usually an ugly business. But here we are decided. We are all a peace, love and unity people. The only narrative our politicians are to push by law, is Kenyan brotherhood hakuna matata! Even a Gikuyu xenophobe whom we all know hates Luos like Moses Kuria, is suppose to shut up on his emotions, or, if he opens his mouth, bleat he does not have a problem with Joluo! Which peace of sh!thead is going to believe him!? When politicians start pretending like that, in countries where antagonisms have not much room for disguise and more often than not adopt street forms, they become irrelevant very quickly. And that is when harder men who will speak their minds and pay the consequences arise to the fore. If the opinion they speak, however hateful, has much resonance within their constituency, they become nationalist martyr. Should the political temperature heat up with the forces of law and order pressed, hordes of violent youth will raid the police stations where these mistaken heroes are kept. What are we going to do with hate in the hearts of some our citizens? Are we going to ban them from expressing it, and reason, unexpressed hate is non-existent, or at least harmless hate!? -Of course there are codes by which a people dehumanise the other without direct speech. Man is creative in evil. But there are of course plenty folks who like to call a spade a spade. They hate you they say they hate you, period, to your face. Love them back if you wish. I can happily live with the hypocrisy of Moses Kuria telling me he loves me! I will thank him for his love and tell him back, I love thee too, Moses. Nevertheless I will develop contingency strategy to deal with his overwhelming love. I think this is what is happening now. We are all agreed to sing Kenya nchi yet hakuna matata, karibu sana bwana, but behind the scenes we know we better be upping up defenses. because hearts are hardening. The cat is out of the bag (or the djini is escaped as they say elsewhere, and can not be pressed back into the bottle). In one week, Kenyans have emotionally adjusted to the prospect of a total collapse in ethnic relations. Ethnic cleansing!? Bring it on, tit will be for tat, an eye for an eye. One week of politics and a nation runs into such a cul-de-sac. Arise O Solomon! Arise O Nestor! Shine a path out of this dark tomb! The leadership of the comprador lot!Personally I watched the two Madarakas with a much troubled heart. It was a small step for the top politicians, but a giant leap for the common man. No longer were we bound by the 1963 deal. Apperances could not even be kept. And the second liberation with its stellar constitution too, has not regenerated enough thrust to glue us together for a new run together ahead. Government has become an even more parochial process, bureaucracy even more corrupt and ethnicised, and the forces of law and order even more colonial. That is a crisis. Nations are things which are built. A people at work. Destroying them is even easier by poor Politicians at work. And some politicians know their constituencies. Somebody wants Jubilee to ban Moses Kuria even if his electoral ratings in his constituency above Uhuru Kenyatta's? Remember, you lawyers, how you reasoned on the ICC indictment of Uhuru Kenyatta, after he was declared winner of the general elections? That the Kenyan people had elected him nullified the charges. Yap, some now think that should not hold for Kuria and Waititu? Or does somebody think if there were elections today Kuria and Waititu would loose!? You always knew when chapter six (integrity) was thrown out of the window, that the ship was gonna take deep water. It is now, and it needs a joint effort to bring back up. But the way kina Junet were arrested is nothing but a show of panic. A regime in panic, deluded it is being resolute.

ERIC KIRAITHE TALKS SENSEUsually when government spokespeople open their mouths, sense is the least spew one expects from their mouths. Jenipher Psaki of the US SD is a recent legend in stupidity, but she is far from being the only case of having a verb named after her, PSAKING, you know, like captain Boycott gave us (to) boycott, and another fella gerrymandering. www.ijreview.com/2015/02/254624-jen-psaki-performances-state-department-receives-promotion-white-house/ Kenya has not been spared the idiosyncrasies of official spokesmen, but Eric Kiraither surprised even himself I am sure, talking like a sage. This last line I am sure came from the heart of the former copper. And it hints at the need to reform Kenyan jails. Actually former CJ Mutunga had made noises to that effect, and it all came to naught. This is a perfect moment to revisit the issue. But what do we have as the main agenda decided on by the Panganis Six? -Peace Love and Unity prayer rallies! Leave that alone, Dear Mpigs, the archives of the VOK is overloaded with wonderful songs of the NYAYO era preaching and professing unity. I have also noticed the police these days use SUV's. But looking at the picture of Pangani police station, it looks a rudiment from the begin days of colonial Nairobi. Nkaissery has just taken delivery of tacmags --battle tanks meant to disperse rioters. He has also taken delivery of HELICOPTERS, albeit substandard and corrupted ones. It would be an idea if he took delivery of a few new police stations, architecturally upgraded, even if only to the rank of collapsing Huruma flats! Eric Kiraithe: perhaps the minister of police can use the same energy he has been applying in shooting demonstrators to improve the conditions of police stations, and personnel housing! It is a thought too! But there is hope. Nunia kompiuta, wewe Nkaissery. Show police stations a bit of respect you Nkaissery and Uhuru! Afadhali mngejenga up to date police stations with computers before laptops for nursery kids yawa! But to set priorities the right way one needs to learn to think first! And that is a tall order. Therefore to catch Eric Kiraithe in the thinking world had made more than my day! -Halleluya, there is hope! Nkaissery could even make an attempt to define HATE SPEECH! instead of being a repeat of Kariuki Chotara on Kyalo Makisi! And then But let me do this in the bank account of police officers thread. Mpesa merry go rounds at casino rates only!
