The politics of Kenya is now reaching scary levels. Just as I had opined in this article last week, in addition to tens of incognito NSIS agents now trailing key ODM personalities everywhere, two foreigners have landed into the country for an unspecified mission. Thanks to friends within the intelligence community, their presence and mission into Kenya was detected as soon as they were issued with official government invitation letters which they presented when applying for Visa's at the Kenya mission in Tel Aviv. Their arrival at JKIA was not unnoticed and it is common knowledge within security circles who is co-ordinating the movement of the visitors. For those who have watched clips of the PM's tour of Mombasa, you will have not failed to notice that he not using his official GK Mercedes Benz but is using his personal Land Cruiser VX which is believed to be armoured and with a few other extra security features. What is even more interesting is that the PM is not using the Kenya Air Force helicopters that are normally available for his use when on official duty in far-flung remote parts of the country. It is any one's guess why this is the case. The present location of the foreigners is unknown as they immediately went underground after their cover was blown but the was PM forced to change his coastal tour program, switch cars and change overnight houses during his tour of the coast. After arrival from Mombasa, there is a marked enhancement of security around Raila and his movements are more guarded. What is going on? Interestingly, the PM's own security detail is made up of his own personal team who are mixed with those drawn from the presidential guard of the GSU known Recce company. In most cases, he prefers to stay close to his own men who at one time were involved in a fist fight with Kibaki's bodyguards at the gates of Nyayo Stadium. The Star - February 21 2011
Panic in Raila tour over presence of 'Israelis
BY ISAAC ONGIRI
PANIC gripped Prime Minister Raila Odinga's tour of the Coast following fears that two heavily armed foreigners were trailing his convoy.
The two, said to be Israelis, booked the same hotel as the Prime Minister at the North Coast forcing the PM's security team to advise against overnight stay at the lodge.
The PM's security details are said to have enhanced vigilance and intelligence after the two were admitted in the resort yet it was fully booked.
"Yes the PM was to spend the night here but we have decided to advise him against it. He will now switch camps because of suspicion regarding the presence of these two suspected mercenaries," said a security officer accompanying the PM.
Raila is said to have switched to his Mombasa home after acknowledging warnings from his security over the presence of the two suspicious characters.
The two were alledgedly with two locals, one said to be a retired CID officer and a local driver.
An intelligence official in the PM's security team said the two foreigners may have been hired to commit something sinister. Raila's security team believes the two arrived in the country on Friday and met some government officials where they allegedly received briefing on city and Coastal spots before leaving for Mombasa the same evening.
Yesterday the PM's Spokesman Denis Onyango declined to comment on the matter when the Star reached him. "This is a sensitive matter. I would rather we don't talk about it please," Onyango said.
Two weeks ago, Lands minister James Orengo claimed the PM's life was in danger and even recorded statements with the police.
"We want to warn that anything that threatens the PM's life is a threat to national unity and should be taken seriously," Orengo stated.
Yesterday, ODM nominated MP Millie Odhiambo said she had heard about the two Israelis.

This is sickening! Kibaki and Ocampo 6 want to go down like Qaddafi? Kenyans will not allow Tom Mboya, J.M Karuiki. Ouko assassination style to drive the country into another round of clashes! Who do this people think they are? no wonder they have been going around acting like roving maniacs.. KENYANS DEMANDS TO KNOW WHO HIRED THESE ISRAELI MERCENARIES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT AND THEY SHOULD BE CAUGHT AND BROUGHT IN FOR QUESTIONING!! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING, WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH ASSASSINATIONS IN KENYA TODAY!! DAMN THEM! DO THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR KIDS AND FAMILIES OR THEY JUST WANT TO CONTROL THE COUNTRY?
IF THE SAME INDIVIDUALS HAVE ARE FOUND TO BE BEHIND THE PLANNED ASSASSINATION OF THE PM THEN THEY MUST BE PUT BEHIND BARS BECAUSE THEY ARE A DANGER TO KENYA AS A WHOLE. someone should put a trail on each of their family members including themselves, so that if the PM goes down so too they must go including their whole clan !! bure kabisa na nimesema!! blood thirsty thugs should not be left to run freely in Kenya.

These people want to destroy this country and will stop at nothing to retain power.
The fear of Raila Odinga presidency is motivating very ill feeling among the elites who have plundered this country for half a decade. You have seen that hatred played out infront of cameras haven't you?
True leaders must stand with the people. The elites must understand that Raila Odinga is not Tom Mboya, neither is he JM Kariuku, Robert Ouko, Dr. Odhiambo Mbai nor Oscar Kin'gara.

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry. Just how silly is this conspiracy theory.
Raila is guarded by government security attached to the GSU who have powers of a police officer. Two alleged security threats are reported to trail the PM and his security prefers to get the PM running rather than neutralise the security threat? That is how ludicrous this report sounds....any wonder mainstream media has not carried it?
People should know that Raila will die of natural causes rather than from an assassin - is not as high value a target as some of you think!

My friends, I think we should make sure these claims are substantiated. If Orengo and the PM's office can come out and be more specific about these claims - it would serve the country well. I know that the guys around Kibaki are desparate but I hope that t hey are not desperate to the extent of planning or excuting their plans. Only deranged people do that .. but again.. some of our politicians are kukus ...deranged...and as we say "Retard" ie "Late in reading the country's mood and politics"

They had better not dare! Things have changed in Kenya. And I hope the NSIS will advise them right. The days of baba na mama when rigging was done very openly in the mlolongos are long gone. Kibaki was supposed to be having an easy term after elaborate rigging but see where we are now. He is forced to run to the courts to try and save face after his misguided nominations have been rejected by parliament. They better realize that it'll also not be kama kawaida if they try to touch the Prime Minister today. Desperate as they are with Ocampo breathing down their necks and knowing that a Raila government will gladly cooperate with ICC, they still had better not dare.

Ladies and gents of jukwaa, Im not suprised at this move. We are dealing with a completely desparate bunch of thugs. Murder is not new to Uhuru and Ruto. They did it in 2008, according to Ocampo, and they could do it again now.
But I appeal to the Israeli government to take action against these hired guns. They should understand that if anything happens to RAO then then kenya will go up in flames. Days when you could murder Mboya or JM and get away with it are long gone.
Im strongly warning the reckless murderers that we will dig them up from whichever hole they are hiding and show them where they were born should anything happen to RAO.

As much as some people hate Kibaki- I personally don't hate him just his guts- I really don't buy the nonsense that he is out to have Raila assassinated. He's such a coward AKA Keguoya to pull such a stunt. I just think Raila is crying wolf as he always does whenever he's in big trouble. Another trick Raila uses is to go back to his base of Kibera or Kisum' Citi to address "huge" rallies there. Kibaki does not have the courage to assassinate anyone or even detain as Moi used to do. In fact, the president only blows his top when someone claims he has more than one sweetheart. That's the reason why the likes of Kabogo and Muite should be more scared than Raila. The Right Hon PM's false alarm reminds me of this story.
"There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!"
The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.
"Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill.
Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.
When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!"
But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.
Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!"
But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come.
At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.
"There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?"
An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.
"We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"

A high profile assassination could be used to deflect the general direction of the country and sabotage the implementation of the new constitution. It has always been watermelons working in cahoots with intelligence officials inserting strange words into the constitution or filing useless lawsuits in ill fated attempts aimed at derailing reform.
Mainstream media, especially the highly partisan Kenyan one, does not have to carry a story for it to be factual or authentic. Not a reason to let the guard down. This is high voltage politics and politics is not for the faint hearted.

Folks, let us thank Kamale. He happens to be very well connected within intelligence and security circles: he knows what the 'high value targets' are and which are not (by the way, you know which type of people use phrases like 'high value targets'?).
So Kamale's assurance that they are NOT targeting Raila is probably welcome.
However, Raila's security must not be left to chance at all. All leads must be investigated and all protective measures implemented. We note with concern that this latest threat comes soon after UK's recent angry declaration that they will use ALL MEANS POSSIBLE to deal with Raila.

UNLESS UHURU, MUTHAURA AND SAITOTI INCLUDING THE POLICE OFFICERS AGREE TO TELL THE TRUTH.. AT THE ICC AND THAT IS WHERE THE THREAT ON HIM IS.. UHURU, RUTO & MUTHAURA SOURCES SAY HAVE INDICATED TO KIBAKI IF HE DOE NOT STOP THE HAGUE TRAIN HE WILL JOIN THEM THERE TOO! Raila is the obstacle, he stopped KIBAKI LIST of appointee's like Mutula Kilonzo said those were the only people who could help save the Ocampo 6 from the ICC by inisisting the case to be brought back to the Kenya courts. THE PM ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT FACTS- WHY KENYANS SHOULD BE VERY VERY WORRIED1. Uhuru Kenyatta sources say can not see himself looked up at the HAGUE, sources say he said he rather die 2. Ruto has already indicated the same 3. Muthaura sources say he rather have Kenya burning then be locked up at the HAGUE 4. KIBAKI CAN'T AFFORD TO ALLOW THESE THREE THUGS TO GO TO THE ICC! WHY? BECAUSE THEY HAVE INDICATED TO HIM PLAIN AND SIMPLE THAT THEY WILL IMPLICATE HIM. BY THE WAY SOURCES INDICATE KIBAKI IS NOT IN CONTROL ANYMORE.. UHURU, MUTHAURA, RUTO ARE RUNNING THE COUNTRY!" BLACKMAILING KIBAKI IN REGARDS TO THE 2007-8 CLASHES..AND THAT IS WHY THE PM IS AN OBSTACLE TO THEIR GRAND PLANS

By the way terminology like 'neutralize the threat' and 'high value target' are not everyday usage for ordinary folk. These are military/ intelligence/ security service lingo. The Diversion on here is coming from Kamale! as for High Value target? all Kenyans know Kibaki and Raila signed a coalition agreement in 2008 each individual is as valuable as the other! not like Kamale is trying to portray here? the only people that can be convinced with Kamale's argument are people on drugs that cannot comprehend or understand that the two principals Kibaki & Raila are equals in regards to running the country and that they are jointly equally Valuable to kenya as a whole ! In essence Kamale is trying to make Raila subordinate to Kibaki which in this case an individual who did not read or does not have an understanding of the coalition accord signed by both principles would mistakenly come to the same conclusion, by ganging the way Kibaki acts with impunity.

His security is employed to guard him with their lives and they are trained to eliminate any threat to their boss.

But I can assure you, this is only a diversion and there is no truth in it all!!! I agree with you Kamale, on what the PM's security detail should have done. Kajwang is the Immigration minister. If indeed there was actionable intelligence to the effect that the mercenaries were upto no good, those guys should have been apprehended and spirited onto the next available El Al flight. Diplomatic title tattle later. The PM's security agents should have some bite, especially his personal ones. The PM's is the highest office in the land, it deserves the best in terms of security and intelligence.

The PM's is the highest office in the land, it deserves the best in terms of security and intelligence. It is easier said than done, especially in a government as dysfunctional as the Kenyan GCG. On one hand you have PNU and ODM, and within PNU you have even bigger and much more powerful forces of the first family that control strategic ministry, internal security included. How long, and after how much damage, did it take to deport the Artur brothers? Who was the first personality to expose the Artur brothers? Who was the first to give us copies of their Armenian passports, even as they held Kenyan diplomatic passports and badges identifying them as Kenyan police commissioners? Raila has this morning been talking to Annan, Obama and Cameron. You will have to read between the lines to understand just how dangerous events have turned out in politics of Kenya because Kenya is once again catching the attention of the people who matter in global politics. Let's wait for Raila's statement. Its a relief he is still alive. Dead men tell no tales.

Has any sane kenyan stopped in the middle of what he/she is doing and asked aloud "Why is Raila the heartbeat of the nation ? . One will only know of a valuable, onces it is out of sight, so the PNU brigades should dare not , i mean dare not do anything to Raila , kenya might not be any more, abuse him, ridicule him but his life leave it alone .Mark you it seems the nile is flowing backwards to the source.
