Questions
1. Does Kabogo own a black Mercedes Benz?
2. Mercy was seen by eye witnesses walking away with Kabogo's bodyguards?
3. What was the arguments about? since it was in-front of many eye witnesses at the party?
4. whose house was the party held in? were they questioned
5. the Mercy must have had a cell phone on her? what was her last call and from where? GPS can locate the exact area she made her last call from and who she was trying to call- where are the phone companies when they are needed? I guess the murderers threw her cellphone away, but the phone companies can still release records on calls made before she died
Mercy must have gone to the party with friends! what become of them? and was their any communications reported between them? It is odd that no friends have come up to talk to the police? normally students go to a party in a group or with friends, that invite each other? something doesn't add up.
If indeed MP Kabogo was involved with Mercy's murder then he will be caught no question about it body guards take orders from their bosses mafia style, trust me those guards will talk when the rope tightens around their necks, if they were given the order to Kill Mercy and damp her body on waiyaki way the truth will come out.
Did the autopsy say what happened to her? how was she killed? was she raped, strangled or shot dead? since she was already dead when they damped her body? the information from the police is not forth coming?

The killing of a Kalenjin girl who had a bright future will surely not work well with the Kalenjins who were still getting used to this unholy relationship between Uhuru and Ruto. The Ruto camp will try silently to bury this issue because they dont want to rock the boat, one of them is as most can see, only one Mp was at the funeral, and only the same Mp has commented about the issue. Where are the Kalenjin Mps who make silly noises? can they come out and ask for answers?. I feel for the family of Mercy, after going through primary school, 8 years, then 4 years of secondary school, 4 years for a degree and finishing her masters, somebody with money, who knows he is untouchable just takes her life away in a most barbaric way, letting rushing cars go over a small body in the middle of the busy Nairobi highway. If we read between the lines on the two different stories coming out of this horror, one newspaper claim Mercy was too drunk, the other newspaper says Mercy was a staunch christian was objected to alcohol being served, so who is fooling who. By looking at this, those responsible for this should be punished, we should be able to protect our children from animals who loves taking other peoples life.
Kabogo questioned on university girl’s death

Mr Kabogo was one of the guests at a party where the post-graduate journalism student was reported to have had an angry argument with a man before her death on June 17.
So are they telling us that it was not Kabogo who was arguing with Mercy
“I have recorded a statement with the police and you can get all the details there. I do not know where you got the report about a dark Mercedes Benz allegedly seen dropping a body,” said Mr Kabogo.
The MP said he had nothing to do with the student’s death and challenged those with information about the incident to report to police.
“Sometimes I don’t understand you people (media)… you seem to have more information than we have, give it to the police,” he told the Nation by phone.
The party attended by the MP was held at Wasini Luxury Homes on Church Road — off Waiyaki Way, Nairobi — the night before Ms Mercy Keino was found dead after allegedly quarrelling with a man.
Ms Keino, 25, was found dead on Waiyaki Way her body in a terrible state, having been run over by vehicles.
Police are reported to be linking two reports, one about the discovery of the body on the road and another by a witness who claimed to have seen a body being thrown out of a Mercedez Benz on Waiyaki Way.
Whose Mercedez Benz was this, or is it a diversion from what really took place, a goose chase, the same people responsible for Mercy's death could be creating an imaginary black Benz
Detectives at Parklands police station said the MP told them he had met Ms Keino at the party for the first time.
And Gigiri police boss Josek Nansio said they had mounted a manhunt for the owner of the dark Mercedes Benz mentioned by the witness who had called the police. The car had been officially identified.
“We got his particulars of the motorist just yesterday (Saturday). He never came to police in the first place and so we have to look for him,” he said.
Police had not found him by the time of going to press last evening.
Mr Nansio said until then, his detectives could not be fully sure they were investigating murder.
A source who spoke to the witnesses said an MP arrived at the party shortly after midnight.
Mercy had arrived with her friend earlier in the evening.
He said the host served juice, and the partying went on well until someone in the group produced an alcoholic drink, described by the source as “hard stuff”, possibly a description of spirits, and moved round the room pouring into glasses.
At this point, Ms Keino is reported to have protested, saying her faith did not allow her to be in such a gathering.
She was a staunch follower of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The source said Ms Keino walked out of the house in protest and was followed and dragged back by several well-built men. A scuffle ensued and Ms Keino is reported to have broken glasses as the men struggled to restrain her.
She is reported to have walked out a second time with the men in pursuit
From this we can say she was not drunk, and she had issue with alcohol being served, somebody must have come with an alcoholic substance, was it Kabogo? and was that the reason that Mercy had complained too?
Her body was found at around 4.15 am, according to a police report. An initial report by a pathologist indicated her legs were broken, and the upper body disfigured, probably after she was ran over by vehicles.
The standard newspaper have a different version.
Kabogo records statement over girl's death
By Cyrus Ombati
Juja MP William Kabogo recorded a statement with police following unexplained death of a University of Nairobi student after she left a private party he attended.
It is alleged the MP, who was questioned by police in Parklands Police Station, had an altercation with Mercy Chepkosgei Keino in the party in Westlands area and decided to leave.
So the Nation Newspaper said Mercy had an argument with another man, but here we find out that indeed it was Kabogo
It is also alleged she left escorted by his bodyguards — who have also been questioned by police. Keino’s body was later recovered from Waiyaki Way, and reportedly bore injuries. She has since been buried in Belgut where the local MP, Mr Charles Keter, and her parents are demanding investigation because they believe she did not die from a road accident.
On Sunday, it also emerged the police were also looking for owner of Mercedes Benz car witnesses claim to have seen drop the body along Waiyaki Way, Nairobi, around the time Keino went missing.
According to Gigiri divisional police boss Mr Joseck Nasio, Kabogo was summoned strictly as a witness who was in the same party Keino attended, as investigation progresses. He confirmed Kabogo conceded he was in the party at an apartment along Church Road.
Nairobi Area Provincial Criminal Investigations Officer Mr Peter Muinde also confirmed to The Standard Kabogo recorded a statement with his officers.
Muinde explained police need more time to investigate the case: "We will talk to all who have been mentioned to ensure the truth comes out," said Muinde.
Efforts to get comment from Kabogo failed, as he did not pick his usual mobile line that went unanswered. He also did not return phone messages sent to him both by KTN and The Standard team.
Nasio emphasised Kabogo and others who recorded statements are witnesses for now as investigation continues. He said Kabogo recorded his statement on Sunday at 12.45pm. The party was at a private apartment in Westlands but inside a restaurant used by residents.
If the party was inside a restaurant, why should Mercy complain if alcohol drinks were being served?, and what party was it about for an Mp like Kabogo to attend?
Nasio also revealed police want to verify claims by some witnesses who saw Keino running towards Waiyaki Way followed by the MP’s guards but only learnt of her death the following day.
She was running for her life with Body guards in toe, it reminds me of what Idi Amin Dada was doing in Uganda, when he wanted women, he will take them by force or send his body guards to grab her and if the husband brings problems kill him.
"Officers are working on the issue and we hope to unearth the truth. We will take action according to evidence that will be found," he explained.
Kabogo went to the station shortly after Keter and the parents of the Masters Degree student had been there.
Police sources revealed the officers have obtained particulars of the vehicle owner but have been unable to reach him because the telephone contacts he gave the Registrar of Motor Vehicles while registering the car are no longer in use.
The police gave The Standard the registration number of the vehicle, but the identity of the last registered owner has been withheld for legal reasons.
Drop body
Nasio revealed investigators want to talk to the registered owner of the vehicle to confirm claims by some witnesses who reported seeing the occupants of a dark Mercedes Benz car drop off a body on the highway.
"It was reported as a fatal accident but people have been coming with different versions of the incident and that is what we want to confirm by talking to all those named," Nasio told The Standard.
Kabogo’s name as a possible witness reportedly emerged after witnesses told police Keino had an exchange with him at the apartment complex to which she had been invited by friends before her death.
Statements given to police indicate Keino left the party after a heated exchange with the MP and his bodyguards. She and her friends had attended a private party on Friday June 17, 2011. According to police, Kabogo did not know the identity of the person who invited him there.
Kabogo goes to a party that he doesnt know who invited him, this is called gate crushing, at mid night?
The MP admitted he was at the party where Ms Keino allegedly got intoxicated and caused chaos, and they quarrelled before his guards intervened. Keino was then allegedly escorted out of the apartment by the MP’s bodyguards and sat on the stairs at the entrance to the complex.
So the Mp claims Mercy was intoxicated and caused chaos, but from Nation story we are told she had issues with alcohol being served, talk of character assassination.
A few minutes later the night guard there asked the bodyguards what was going on and he was informed the woman was waiting for a taxi.
Her body was recovered in the wee hours of Saturday on the road where, police say several motorists had run over it.
Detectives concede they initially thought the death had been caused by a hit-and-run driver on the highway but were taken aback when they did not see much blood at the scene.
She was killed somewhere else and her body dumped on the road. Did the pathologist check if she was sexually molested before her death? At least one person dies daily on the highway. Most of them are pedestrians who try to cross the busy road amidst heavy and speeding traffic.
A relative of Ms Keino, Mr Azaria Soi told The Standard the student’s family believe she did not die as a result of a road accident.
"I am in Nakuru from the funeral and I can tell you the family wants justice in this case," said Soi.
Ms Keino who was buried on Friday was pursuing a Masters Degree at University of Nairobi’s School of Journalism and was engaged to her fiancÈ Ronny Kemboi who works with Kenya Revenue Authority. They planned to wed in December.

Unfortunately this lady's death sound as fishy as some market near the Ksm bus stop. But which other death does not sound fishy? Wanjiru? The top cop killed in westlands the other day? Honestly do you think Iteere and his ''mboys'' are going to nab a loaded PNU, Kikuyu MP? a crony of UK, john Mwau's son in law and one of the major drug barons in this country?
Money is not even going to change hands. A few more pple who may have evidence of this murder will die and that's it. Let the pple who may know something of this murder be afraid, be very afraid for even the police will be part of this!!!
Meanwhile let us hope the Kenyan system will one day change. So that murder is murder and is treated as that. Maybe as someone suggested we need inspector Derrick of the famous TV series in our police force.

Kabogo may be pissing off even people who he could count on prior to this heinous killing. Thank you for saying what needed to be said. I dont know how ruto keeps quiet about this with a straight face. Lucky for him his face is a contorted caricature of lies so he will be comfortable spinning. To me this is a very easy case to investigate and to be honest, it sounds more of an accident than murder. I am just saying. are you serious? eyewitnesses say the body was dumped by the occupants of a mercedes benz on waiyaki way and obviously this doesn't mean anything to you. can't you side with the victim for once? EISH!! Only a bloody callous fellow would call this an accident. Its the explanation mafiya supporters always give. Wanjiru was a suicide too. If its not declared an accident by them then they are conspicuously silent. Kina iteere havent told me yet who smuggled the words into the KATIBA. They havent told me yet why Sonko is walking around free yet he is an escaped convict with an arrest warrant. Now iteere/gichangi inept mafiya laden force is just pretending, going through the motions, mouthing off routine inanities about looking under every stone blah blah blah, when they know very well who was there and what happened. They are protecting their own! Nansio said, initially the matter was booked in as a hit-and-run accident but after several pieces of information emerged, “it became necessary to carry out detailed investigations.” “We are speaking to people who were at the party, those who saw the body being dropped off and the people who are said to have escorted her out of the party,” he said. l Kabogo has a car like the Merc, so I hear

Piecing the reports together, I think its quite easy to figure out what went on. Reading the accounts since the story broke, she left the apartment in the company of Kabogo's bodyguards.
Iteere has changed the story and the police do not mention the bodyguards following her as she ran from the house. They have had a talking to from Kabogo.
Its possible that they were asked to make sure she wasnt going to spill any beans from events at the party, argument followed while in the car and that is where the murder occured.

I had said in another thread that he is a dangerous man. However, they have perfected the art of neutralizing any trail that may lead to them. Take the case of Harun, locally we have nothing against him, yet he is a known international drug chief. The sad thing in this case is that it is the business of the likes of Kabogo to conceal any shred of evidence. The man is so wealthy and has a network of informers, right from the streets to the government’s intelligence units. It has been reported of Kabogo that he kills at the slightest provocation leaving a trail of cold cases. The Mwau’s and the Kabogo's are beginning to get a little bit too careless. Things seem to get out of their hands or their “false sense of untouchables” is getting to their heads of late. Itere had to distance himself from Harun’s staged car shoot out. This young girl’s blood could as well signal the beginning of the end for Kabogo.

Yes Commes, this was a careless kill. A quick analysis of the anatomy of the kill tells me that his meticulous approach to art of murder deserted him in a moment of inebriation and angst at some girl facing up to him. So he ordered his bodyguards to teach her a lesson and the boneheads went too far. Every common criminal gets his moment of recklessness a la Kiriamiti.
Illusions of grandeur must lead a man to a dark place.

Just what was such a mzee MP doing in a house party full of students and teenagers at night? He owes an explanation to his wives. The police have already admitted they know the make and registration of the vehicle they are after according to today's DN, but so far, they have been "unable" to trace it's owner.
The crucial details about the Benz were given by an eye witness who saw the body being tossed out as it sped along Waiyaki Way. Now, hope they don't "finish" this eye witness before noon. Same paper's says the luxury apartment do have a CCTV camera. Now, wait and hear that it was not working during that fateful day!
Sadly some people somewhere killed this pretty student. However, our pathetic cops will almost certainly botch the investigations- you can take that to the bank. The killers of Oscar King'ara, Paul Oulu (Oscar Foundation), Uhuru Park bombing during "NO" campaign, Dr Ouko, JM Kariuki, Father Kasier just to name a few are walking scot free.
Even marathoner Wanjiru was ruled to have committed suicide seconds after his death before any investigations had commenced. Sorry guys but the killers of this student will never be caught or convicted in our courts of law.
Comedian Inspecta Mwala of Citizen may even do a more credible investigation than our "mboys" in blue who are only good in botching and screwing up anything they touch. Why aren't they circulating the registration of that Benz for the public to help?

New Developments: Owner of Benz Surrenders To Cops.
Owner of Mercedes Benz car linked to suspected killing of university student in Nairobi’s Westlands area has surrendered to police. This follows reports that a witness had seen a body being thrown out of Mercedes Benz on the night the student, Ms Mercy Keino, was killed. Gigiri police boss Josek Nansio said they had mounted a manhunt for the owner of the dark Mercedes Benz mentioned by the witness. The car had been officially identified. The owner turned up today (Monday) at Nairobi's Parklands police station where he is being questioned. Police are reported to be linking two reports, one about the discovery of the body on the road and another by the witness who claimed to have seen a body being thrown out of the Benz on Waiyaki Way. Ms Keino’s body was found on Waiyaki Way hours after she stormed out of a party at the Westlands premises. She allegedly had an altercation with Juja MP William Kabogo at the party. Detectives at Parklands police station said the MP told them he had met Ms Keino at the party for the first time. More coming... www.nation.co.ke/News/-/1056/1189690/-/10vtqj0z/-/index.html

A solemn plea to ALL.
A student has lost her life in circumstances which are unclear.
Rather than speculate on each and every turn of the unfolding sad events, I write to urge all of you people to hold your horses until the full picture emerges and details are given.
It does not help playing amateur detective on such serious matters with half information the press are peddling.
Remember
Someone has lost a fiancee Another a sister Another a daughter Another a niece Another a friend et cetera

Sensitivity breeds decorum and civility. What is it that you wish to discuss about the death of that girl? It is a fact that she died, and someone out there killed her. Would it not be prudent to wait until we have the full picture before speculating on the murder? Let us be rational, please! No need to trivialise such serious matters.

From another forum, somebody wrote their opinion that the girl refused to be part of what was going on alongside the party i.e sale of drugs, and I tend to buy it. Surely you cannot kill a lady because she rejected your advances. After all you are an MP cum drug dealer and you have the power to have an orgy with the rest of the girls in the party.

Maybe they will nail Kabogo this round since they have always wanted to. Remember his payukaring on the floor of the house that "Kibaki's second wife" was also on the drug list yet Geroge "Goldernberg" Saitoti has deliberately omitted her name? This didn't go very well with the Mafia. His triumph over Thuo in Juja by-elections whereby Uhuru had poured his own millions also left a sour taste in the mouth of the Mafia. Kabogo has always been a marked man, so perhaps they will nail him this round. Now imagine if this girl who was murdered was a daughter of a cabinet minister, would the cops be dragging their feet like they are doing?

This sounds pretty desperate. Are you guys at this point in your search for votes? daft and dafter! How this is reduced to a kikuyu/kalenjin spat defies any logical thinking and is dowright daft! Why do people like making things up all the time? I see nothing about an alleged kikuyu/kalenjin "spat" whatever that is. Nobody suggested that. It is just some thug M.P doing what he does best. Screwing things up and folk getting killed in the process. What else do we expect from such people? They are doing the only thing they know how to do. The case will go nowhere. People need money and they will get it. Case closed. Same old.
