Solid proof that Oduol is a mole: ;D ;D Plans for a soft landing in the senate did not really work out for some reason, giving rise to this: Oburu Steps Down For Orengo In Siayacitizennews.co.ke/news/2012/local/item/6399-oburu-steps-down-for-orengo-in-siayaFinance Assistant Minister Dr. Oburu Odinga has officially dropped out of the Siaya County Senatorial race in favour of his political nemesis, Lands Minister James Orengo. Finance Assistant Minister Dr. Oburu Odinga has officially dropped out of the Siaya County Senatorial race in favour of his political nemesis, Lands Minister James Orengo. Oburu, the elder brother to Prime Minister Raila Odinga will instead vie for the county's governor's position. Alego-Usoga MP Edwin Yinda who chaired talks that led to the political pact said the deal will be cemented this Sunday when the two leaders attend the launch of Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo's re-election campaigns. No thought was given to the other aspirants for the governors seat. Some duly pulled out in deference, but ...www.capitalfm.co.ke/news/2012/12/siaya-aspirant-rejects-bid-to-impose-governor/?wpmp_switcher=mobileSiaya aspirant rejects bid to impose governorPosted by CORRESPONDENT on December 28, 2012 Oduol says he wants a free and fair nomination with Oburu Odinga/COURTESY SIAYA, Kenya, Dec 28 – A contender for the Siaya County gubernatorial seat has welcomed a statement issued by Friends of Raila (FORA) dissociating ODM party leader Raila Odinga from remarks by Jakoyo Midiwo that the party top brass had endorsed Oburu Odinga for the governor’s seat. William Oduol criticised remarks by the Gem MP, terming them “unfortunate, reckless, presumptuous, dictatorial and insensitive” to the opinion and views of the majority and reiterated that he was in the party to stay and will stage a fierce fight from within. He wants leaders like Midiwo who are bent on imposing a leader on the people of Siaya to desist from making such statements. He says the electorate should not be bullied and intimidated into accepting leaders who are imposed on them. “If indeed Oburu is convinced that he is popular then why does he fear to face off with his competitors in a free and a fair nomination process?” asked Oduol. He revealed that he had been under immense pressure by officials close to Oburu to step down for the Bondo MP but vowed that as a democrat and true believer in a new and a changing Kenya, he was ready to face it off with his opponents in a free and fair nomination process. “Let them prepare for a bruising battle ahead. I am ready to support and work with whoever wins in a free and fair process. I also expect them to do the same if I emerge victorious,” said Oduol. He further called on the Prime Minister as the party leader to reassure Kenyans that party nominations in his rural backyard would be free and fair, given his silence over the matter. In a statement issued in Siaya Town, Oduol said that Siaya was under scrutiny, as it would be a test case on how democratic ODM is as a party. “Since Jakoyo is not a national official of the party, at whose behest is he issuing such statements?” posed Oduol. Similarly, no thought was given to the unwashed masses who wrere expected to merely rubberstamp the passage for the Governor by right. But wait ......!www.google.co.ke/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=nicholas%20gumbo%20oburu&source=web&cd=9&cad=rja&ved=0CGIQFjAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fallafrica.com%2Fstories%2F201301020049.html&ei=RNn5UNLYCsrlrAfoyIC4BQ&usg=AFQjCNEQHg_7N53u0QVHTfzVtxY_zUZMUQ&bvm=bv.41248874,d.bmk Kenya: Revolt Over MPs' Support for OburuBy Justus Ochieng, 1 January 2013 (In The Star) FIVE MPs in Siaya county are facing rebellion from voters in the region over their stand on the governor seat. Siaya people are unhappy with James Orengo (Ugenya), Oburu Oginga (Bondo), Jakoyo Midiwo, (Gem), Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda) and Edwine Yinda (Alego Usonga) for supporting Oburu's candidature for the senator's seat. At the weekend, Orengo, Midiwo and Yinda were heckled at Sega in Ugenya constituency when they attempted to endorse Oburu for Siaya governor's position ........ 3 Days later ..... Aspirant Oduol denies he is TNA moleFriday, January 4, 2013 - 00:00 -- BY ERIC OLOO www.the-star.co.ke/news/article-101509/aspirant-oduol-denies-he-tna-moleSiaya governor aspirant William Oduol has denied claims from some MPs that he is a TNA mole. He said the five MPs from the region have panicked following his growing popularity and have resorted to propagating lies to derail his political ambitions. Oduol was reacting towards a statement made by Midiwo and Gumbo at a rally in Bondo that he is being funded to wreck ODM from within. James Orengo (Ugenya), Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem), Edwin Yinda (Alego-Usonga), Oburu Oginga (Bondo) and Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda) have branded Oduol as a project put up to fight ODM. A mole is a mole, even if your central province Uhuru"TNT" think that they can go try buying other party aspirants as they did with Mudavadi ;D ;D Still waiting for the IPhone photo's that are rumoured doing the circulation showing Oduol with Uhuru"TNA" manager Onyango Oloo, maybe then Oduol will explain to Siaya voters how they were discussing to eat Ugali together, 8-) Uhuru"TNT" is rumoured to be also being doing rounds in Western province but it ain't working.. Oduol should go look for Votes in Kiambu @reporter 911Lets just assume for arguments sake that Oduol is indeed a TNA/Jubilee mole who is running on a CORD ticket ( I am not even sure how that is possible). Lets also assume that he is indeed the people's choice for the Siaya seat. Does the fact that he is a 'Mole' make it okay to rig him out of a fairly obvous win? What happened to the will of the people? We are supposed to be the reform party and the fact that this happened in broad day light speaks volume. First they pressure him to step down and when that did not work, they rig him out. ODM/CORD should be setting the standard as to how free and fair elections are supposed to be conducted putting the status quo to shame not the other way round We know what the consequences of a botched election look like and as such must ensure that it doesn't happen again. Party nominations are not going to be handed to people, they must earn it. There is just no way Oduol could have been leading up to the 11th hour, just to have the election official who was supposed to be announcing the result dissappear for almost four hours, reappear with a different tune, and thereby disqualifying counties where Odual had the most numbers in without any explaination. Lets call a spade a spade. While the opportunists are licking their lips waiting for their chance to pounce, I am one of those Siaya people who wants thier voices heard.

Will Nyanza people buy this coaltion mix? ( controlled from central province???)Naaah! Tuju already known as Mt Kenya mouth piece.. then add peter Kenneth the back-door invisible Jubilee supporter check the runner up:) party that was formed to spoil & disrupt in Nyanza province. Njirongo was telling the truth when he indicated some parties were formed to cause confusion in places like Nyanza, Western, Coast, Rift Valley and ofcourse Nairobi! luckly by Njirongo speaking out.. Mudavadi & Uhuruto had a short lived marriage.. Mudavadi now has no leg to stand on in Western Province Odoul should have joinded Peter Kenneth, that is a party that suits him.. With the two candidates summoned by Bett (read Raila) to Nairobi, it is clear it is for no other reason but to try and strike a deal. Whatever the deal and even if Oduol declines to d the deal, one thing that is clear is that one Raila Amollo Odinga will be in Siaya on Tuesday to mollify the people and as if nothing happened last night, all will be forgotten and he march to the elections will resume Kama kawaida!
If the people of Siaya are as miffed as I have seen on blogosphere and tweeter , Raila is in serious trouble back at home.

I, Onyango Oloo of SDP, spoke to William Oduol at approximately 6:30 am, Saturday, January 19, 2013.
Oduol was then in Narok en route to Nairobi where he had been summoned to a meeting scheduled to take place at Orange House at 10 am, January 19, 2013.
He told me that the Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, had called him directly last night in a bid to come to a peaceful resolution to the controversy.
He told me other things, but I think I would be doing William Oduol a great disservice by publicly divulging other details of that private conversation.
Let us await the outcome of that Orange House meeting.
I find it simply DESPICABLE to see some posters here try to discredit William Oduol who until recently was allied firmly to James Orengo in the Siaya County race. Does that mean that Orengo, and by extension, Raila Odinga himself, is a TNA mole?
How RIDICULOUS can we get sometimes?

OO,Are you trying to be opportunistic in this tragedy? I have always nursed the dream that SDP will one day be an alternative party to be reckoned with sooner rather than later. But if SDP wants to get into the limelight by reaping where they never sowed, then I have a massive problem with the party and more so your person given that we both know each other very well by now! OO, Truly speaking, what was your intention of starting this thread?

I have it from a reliable source privy to the goings on in Cord and in particular what happened in Siaya yesterday during the nomination process and can sum it up this way: There was no confirmed rigging in Siaya as has been alleged.
Cord National Electoral Committee led by the able Hon. Franklin Bett has strict guidelines that must be followed before nominee results are submitted to the IEBC.
Pursuant to those guidelines, Cord has delayed announcing who won the Siaya county ODM nominations for governor and the source emphasized that in by itself is not an admission that the there was anything irregular in the voting; the delay is simply to verify that the results are accurate.
The source tells me ODM had in place a rigging proof nominations system to ensure there was no chance of rigging and, more importantly, as the source also emphasized, to make it easy to expose or discover such rigging.
The source could not divulge the details of this system for obvious reasons but all he could tell me is based on that, he/she is confident there was no rigging in Siaya as alleged and accordingly Cord NEC will, indeed, confirm that Dr. Oburu Odinga is the winner.
I asked my source whether we can really have a "rigging proof" system in Kenya, let alone anywhere else and his/her response was, "it was not possible for the kind of rigging alleged to have taken place. There is no evidence of that."
I also asked my source whether it's true that William Oduol is a TNA plant his/her response was he/she did not think so but is of the view Jubilee has tried to exploit his candidacy but thus far has been unsuccessful.
Based on all of this, I would simply urge our loyal brigade not to not be distracted by all the noise making about Siaya while the truth is Cord had nearly flawless nominations nationwide while Jubilee has imploded with its monumental nationwide failure in its nominations!
And that's not to say anything about the record direct nominations Jubilee has had, shoving down Jubilee member throats candidates they don't want much as Moi tried to shove down our throats a Uhuru presidency we did not want, and still don't want.
Members in the Jubilee corner may be hapless and have no choice but swallow those candidates shoved down their throats but voters going to the polls on March 4, 2013 will reject a number of them, beginning with those at the top.
The irony in all of this is, going by the noise in the social media and news coverage on the ground you would think we somehow returned to single party era where Cord is the only party in Kenya.
That's actually not a bad thing because, strictly speaking, Cord is the only true national coalition!
The rest are tribal outfits more or less as now documented by how they performed in the nominations.
May the best and truly national coalition win come March 4, 2013.
Amen.

Reminds of 2007 when Orengo was given direct nomination against one Steve Mwanga, then considered the more monied and popular, amid the hue and cry we are experiencing now. This was however quickly forgotten and buried considering the role Orengo played both at KICC and Koffi Annan peace talks after the presidential elections fiasco.

He was only declared a mole by his opponents after he refused to step down for Dr. Oburu. Oduol beat Oburu hands down and even if there was a repeat, he would still win. The returning officer who i happen to know personally is a perennial political opportunist who is also an Oburu hang around. She, in my opinion should be blamed for the debacle.

Since when did ODM tallying centre move to social media.
The real RO in Siaya just resurfaced this afternoon.
You must ask yourself who was that imposter reading ODM Siaya results in Bondo (very far from the tallying centre) yesterday.
Its a difficult situation and one that I trust Mr Bett and NEB will satisfactorily handle.
But no one should come here to purport that Oduol or Oburu is the winner.
