Phil:Onyango Oloo has the right to comment on Kenyan politics. He does not have to be a member of KANU, TNA, UDF, URP or for that matter ODM to comment on the internal affairs of any of these parties. Like I told you elsewhere, I know so much about the INTERNAL rot of ODM from ODM INSIDERS that I keep out of Jukwaa. But you are making me reconsider my decision to be discreet about some of these things. Onyango Oloo Kenyan Social Justice Activist Who Has Been Speaking Truth to Power for 30 Years and Counting... The next government will be chosen to govern Kenya and be a government for all Kenyans; it will not be a government for those parts of Kenya and those Kenyans who helped it get into power. Therefore, Kenyans must critically examine all those who seek to form the next government; and the greater the likelihood that one group will form the government, the more urgent and critical it is that people give it a very hard look. When I look at the case of Raila, for example, one of the things I consider (see "Maina-Njenga 2") is the possibility that he could lead the next government, something that has implications for all Kenyans. I find it quite amusing to hear "stick to campaigning for your candidate!", "don't concern yourself with ours and our party!", dot dot dot, while at the same time there is an unlimited number of comments (by the same people!) on Mudavadi, Uhuru, Ruto---to the extent Uhuru and Jubilee even have their own very "popular" threads. Another thing people do not consider is that others may have deep and lengthy connections with some of these parties, either on our own or through friends and relatives, and may in fact know a great deal of the goings-on. (For example, as I stated on another thread, just two days ago I was at drinks with ODM near-big-wigs.) Here's another thing I have stated before: I was a very strong Raila supporter until he started his dance with Maina Njenga; at that point we parted ways. And it appears that it will stay that way: asked about it, the non-thinking segment of Raila's supporters simply shout infantile abuse and repeat mindless slogans of how he will win, and the thinking ones artfully dodge and keep going on. Right now, the ongoings in CORD interest me for a variety of reasons. First, is that, no matter how one slices it, the CORD alliance is founded on ODM, and that will continue to be so; therefore, what happens in ODM is a good guide to CORD as a whole. Second, ODM appears to have learned nothing from its rigging "direct nominations" of 2007. Third, there is a very realistic chance that CORD could form the next government. Put those three things together, and the manner in which CORD does business is more that "internal party business". As for Jubilee, which also has a realistic chance of forming the next government, the "realism" is moderated by the harder realism of the ICC, on which a great deal has already been written on Jukwaa. People need to look hard at all serious presidential candidates and parties, and this needs to be done in a thoroughly objective way. It is unfortunate that lately the signal-to-noise ratio on Jukwaa has rapidly been approaching zero---it's all about "X will win!", "no Y will win!", "oh the haters!", "just go elsewhere!", "Raila remains as beautiful as Beyonce even if they both lip-sync!", dot dot dot. And, for good measure, even the non-contributing hecklers have been resurrected and have joined in the fray. That sort of thing is not many of us come here for. Besides, it is done "better" by the "professionals" in places like "Mashada". Let's say that your X or Y wins. Then what? We need to look at the entire picture and well beyond March. The focus on "let us just win and worry about the rest later" is what gets us where we are: every 5 years we elect a group of MPs who forget what they are supposed to be doing and devote all their efforts to taking care of themselves, and in between the elections we wail about the "selfish MPigs". Let's look beyond 4 March. If the candidates are already showing dodgy qualities right now, serve notice on them. And keep at it even if they win. I have set my "alarm" but, in case I miss the event, please wake me up when the signal-to-noise ration improves on Jukwaa.

As for Raila/ODM/CORD Tsunami, can't be stopped by propaganda, allegation, innuendo's by some disgruntled elements trying like crazy to connect Raila to Maina Njenja when all the facts point to PNU/government/ Extra-judicial killings/ late Michuki/ Statehouse Meetings 2007-8/ e.t.c People Like Miguna tried and even wrote a book!! it didn't work..

Jukwaa,
The incoming gubernatorial nominee will be vying for the seat on WIPER. Here is what I have down, so after being summoned to Nairobi, no one bothered to update him for 48-72hrs, so he knew something was fishy, he jumped to WIPER. Otherwise the IEBC was heading to a lockdown on Monday night. GOOD RIDDANCE TO OBURU

OtishOtish, give up>> you can't connect Raila to yours truly Maina Njenga Really? As far as I know Maina Njenga is the real leader of a party in the CORD coalition, of which Raila is leader. I also recall that Maina Njenga made Raila a "Kikuyu elder" and that both made a big deal of it. What do you have in mind when you refer to a "connection"? "Yours truly"? Are you Maina Njenga, or is this a "ferry tail"? ;D

Someone wrote "yours truly Maina Njenga", and OtishOtish was merely wondering if the someone was Maina Njena, who, as far as he knows, never posts here.

Reporter, I doubt whether you have understood what OO told you. I do not pretend that I could possibly fit in his shoes but it gets me that you continue to belittle and ridicule almost everyone who responds to your posts. Is that absolutely necessary? To me this kind of behavior lowers Jukwaa's standing . Your posts are very predictable and almost always abusive of the persons you engage with. And I know I will get more abuse poured over me because of this comment. Furaha
