Kamale is very spot on on this one. My greatest regret however, is the fact that we have totally ignored one of the most crucial and fundamental aspects of the constitutional review process, i.e is electoral law, but instead dedicate all our efforts in fighting for the executive and executive power. We still have some long ways to go and God please help us

When the article mentioned the “flamboyant lawmaker” it was an easy give-away for the “mamba eater.” However, when the article says that the MP had been a lawmaker for a while, I tend to think it could be someone else. I don’t think the “mamba eater” has been MP for a while. We’ll see.

With all due respect, my fellow country men/women, Mr. Buke has told it exactly as it is. It may have sounded as whinning on his part but truth be told, Mr. Miguna is reaping where he did not sow.

It is with much regret and sadness that I have to very reluctantly agree with Kamalet on this one. Let us just remove the logs from our eyes for once. As usual everyone seems to miss the point!! According to the law now in force, if the claims by Moses Kuria are indeed true, then Miguna should be cooling his backside in jail. If indeed Miguna had a Canadian passport which was to expire 27th January 2008, then any declarations he made when he attempted to be an electoral candidate for the 2007 elections were illegal abd the declarations he made were false. The current law does not allow for dual citizenship and the moment Miguna took up his Canadian citizenship, legally he was deemed to have renounced his citizenship. If he was issued with a passport in March 2009, then again this was ODM/tribal (cal it what you want) illegal dealing by Otieno Kajwang using his office to confer illegal citizenship as he is already known to do for many Somalis and Indians. Many Kenyans have made a case for dual citizenship (something I do not agree with) and if the new constitution provides for dual ctizenship then at that time Miguna can make that application and no one will have an issue with his status. His lame claim that he did not recounce his Kenyan citizenship or that he was "some liberation fighter" at home and in exile does not give him any legal support and he must accept the illegality and go back to Kajwang, return his illegal passport and apply for a work permit to advice the PM. Anything else will just fortify my continued view that Kenya is lucky that ODM did not come to power just as in the case of 2002 when Uhuru never became president - God just loves Kenya.

Raila has dominated the news so much, and the electorate on the ground are so much on his side such that someone decided they also want to remain relevant in the political landscape. And what better way to remain relevant and in the news than to spoil for a fight with Raila.

Muite deserves every single bit of what is happening to him right now. He of the 'Young Turks' fame and reformer of yore. Kumbe the problem wdas just Moi back then and he was just hiding under the reformisst platform. Come the Kibaki regime and complete with all the Moi sins that Muite was "fighting" but saw nothing wrong with it. Him and one Kiraitu Murungi. The same Kibaki that Muite is shouting to the skies about is the same Kibaki that he tirelellsly defended during the first term. He even conived to scuttle the constitutional review. Him and one Kiraitu Murungi. Everything is still the same as they were a few years ago and VOILA!! Muite now thinks Kibaki is the problem. Like I said earlier. This man deserves everthing that is happening to him right now. And this should also act as a lesson to all those people who supports and defends regimes that is oppressing God's people for the day of judgement shall surely come. I hope one Kiraitu Murungi is watching keenly

Koigi is a man who has fallen in the same group as Gibson Kamau Kuria. Add to that list: Paul Muite, Martha Karua and Kiraitu Murungi. They should all burn and rot in hell.

Muite is a turncoat that I cannot waste any of my precious seconds listening to. From a galant and brilliant pro 2nd liberation Young Turk champion during the moi era to a very vicious Kibaki apologist. Kumbe back then the real problem for such apologists was Moi and nothing else. Even when Kibaki was becoming a worst monster than Moi, Muite was there very much tingisharing for Kibaki. The worst part for me was when they hijacjed the constitutional review during his chairmanship to protect the throne in the House of Mumbi. Much as I hate Kibaki, I really like the way he has treated Muite these past few years. When Muite was tingisharing real hard and lobbying to catch Kibaki's eye, the thief from Othaya prefered the likes of Koigi, Mwenje and Kamanda for cabinet positions which was a huge slap to Muite. And as someone has stated here, he is now the latest IDP. Hehehehehehehe

Doesn't Kibaki feel ashamed attending a very colourful inauguration ceremony in S. Africa which is done in full view of the world and attended by dignitaries from all over, yet his was the direct opposite? ??

All those who still doubt that Kibaki's presidency is not recognized around the world (except of course in parts of Uganda) now have their answer loud and clear. And mark you Raila has had a smilar visit with the British PM. PNU's reaction or lact thereof will be very interesting to watch/read/hear.

Is this post meant to preempt PNU's imminent loss in parliament tomorrow after the speaker's ruling?

A lot of times I get lost in these legal jargon that I always see people throwing around. Can someone please explain something to my dunderhead. What does it really mean when it says that should there be any conflict between the NARA and any section of the constitution then the NARA shall prevail? I thought I had a rough idea what this meant until I read PLO's article. Any legal expert or wannabe please help a brother out.

Kamale, I think "Disillusioned" would describe your situation more accurately that "desperate". I take back "desperate" that I used earlier. From your post, you are obviously disillusioned by your hero Kibaki.

Phil, you hit the nail right on the head. Desperation is written all over that post by Kamalet. The lazy sleep head polygamist from Othaya is finally getting under the skin of his own sycophants. This post is a mirror image of Karua's contribution in Parliament yesterday when she blamed the PNU side by calling Kibaki by name. Very good post indeed. Proves a lot of what people have been saying here all along.

Just like the PNU brigade have been using the word 'reforms' loosely, they are now doing the same for the word 'consultation'. Surely, what does consultation mean to them. There are two coalition partners and all issues of government have to be done by consultation, at least that is what PNU finally agreed to after the last meeting as Harambee House. The HBC sets the legislative agenda of the house which is by extention the government agenda. So why does one side think the can lord it over the other? (according to Karua a portion of this side is also lording it over their other partners on their side of the coalition). If the PM has to stand and take questions from legislators every Wednesday on government issues, it only makes perfect sense if the also becomes leader of government business in the house. Maybe I am wrong for being this sensible

My deepest sympathy goes to Faith and I wish the poor lady very quick recovery. Reading the article, there seem to be plenty of evidence and witnesses to prosecute the case as an assault with a deadly weapon (bottle) or whatever kind of assault they would call this particuclar incident. In my opinion it would be wrong to qualify this particular case to be an assault due to the sexual orientation of the victim. This will open a pandoras box because the next victim of assault will claim that they were assaulted because they were a man, or woman, or because they belong to this or that tribe and things of that nature. Let us just push for the prosecution of the case as assault due to the ample evidence available

The only true reformists in the current parliament are Raila (others will disagree but this is just a statement of fact), Orengo and maybe, repeat, maybe Prof. Anyang' Nyong'o on the ODM side. On the PNU side the only true reformist right now is none other than Hon. Gitobu Imanyara. All the other goons masquerading as reformists are nothing but sellouts, turncoats and self-seeking imbeciles

how about a little help: If Raila was the lion, and he was followed by sheep in 2005, he defeated quite some clever people as lions for the simple reason they were lead by a sheep in the name of Kibaki! The Kibaki side had the government resources to steal the referendum and the money to buy the people, but they lacked leadership hence their loss!! There are many other analogies you can pick up!!! Kamalet, Now that we are in agreement that your analogy does not make any sense, let me point out something to you that you are conveniently ignoring. Yes PNU (then Narc) had the resources and money steal the referendum. Yes they lost because of their lack of leadership then just as they still lack leadership now. The only reason they did not steal the referendum like they did the election is because they wanted to maintain the status quo which was convenient for them. Kibaki lost the referendum but unbeknown to many, they actually ‘won’ by maintaining the status quo. That is the same game plan they have this time round in preparation for Uhuru. When (and not if) it becomes apparent to them that Kenyans will not accept their machinations (and this forthcoming action by Kenyans is true just like the night follows the day) you will see how quickly they will move on with the reforms.

And what the hell is this suppossed to mean?? A very lame and desperate attempt to sound sophisticated. Who would be the lion here and who would be the sheep? Very lame indeed. Ever heard of the acronym "KISS"? (Keep It Simple Stupid!!!!!) Man, Are you suggesting that such a simple saying actually passes over your head? It can actually not be kept any simpler than it is. Here is a hint: Translate the same in your mother tongue and see if it makes sense to you. If that fails, then you are beyond any help. Kamale Kamale, I have translated this thing in my mother tongue and in the little Spanish that I know and it did not make any sense. I even tried to simplify it by substituting your hero Gen. Keguoya for the lead lion and lead sheep in both scenarios and in each case it sounded even more ridiculous. Please come up with something else that would make some sense.

Adongo, In addition to passing the message to Miguna about his hat, please tell him that we are not conceeding anything this time from the PNU goons. The agenda should be maintained as is, or both teams include additional items on the agenda. We are simply not going to bend backwards again to these goons.
