The visit to Eastleigh is several days late as the local leaders have already met and talked. But if it will help with peace all very welcome - but unfortunately this guy would much prefer to politic than anything else!

Phil,
Your attempt at spinning this issue against TNA is something we should all be concerned about, especially when touching on matters of life and death, peace and destruction. Despite what Mitito said regarding the whole issue of insecurity, at no point did he support your OWN insinuation, which by your own admission, was based on nothing but a "feeling that...".
On Mitito's comments, I think his were lame excuses at the level of incompetencies and the state of total failure the Internal Security Dept is finding itself in. Rather than call a spade a spade and seek appropriate solutions, Mitito and Iteere decided to present the public with the excuse of "political influence" as a cause which may have led to the deaths of so many innocent victims as we lately witnessed.
It is a shame that we have less than five months to the elections day, but this government of Kibaki and Raila is a huge disaster for Kenyans and it is not right that it should be in governance after such massive failures.
BTW, too much spinning can make anyone's head feel dizzy! Taking short periods of break may just help a little.

It brings to mind the Congolese army being sent to fight rebels who have been getting their weapons from some leaders of that same army. Still, it could be a way to stop the terrorists: a comedic complaint by Al-Qaeda in the mid-90s that the bribes demanded by Kenyan security officials had made it costly for them to operate here.
