My rules are based on my more than 20 years of blogging experience on these fora (blog was coined recently) and are not specific to any forum but I was prompted to post them here because I saw violations of at least one. Nothing in my rules would prevent or constrain Jukwaa from doing what it does best; in fact, it complements just that. I thought the only rules that fly in this forum are those that are dictated by one Onyango Oloo, who I might add has been very ruthless in his selective application of the same.

I STRONGLY disagree. ODM does NOT need this guy.

Phil; But seriously, let us examine character here. There are some salacious allegations that I stumbled on hapa internet. I have also heard stories in the streets. The Nairobi ones are hilarious, koinange street variety rumours. What I read and heard are about certain things that are alleged to have happened in Canada. And others here in Nairobi. The said matters (in Canada) ended in court. I am not sure what happened subsequently. We will find out. Let me shut my trap for now. rr, before i comment on this and all that in a related thread, please let me understand: is the Canada case you are talking about the same as the one on the link below--operated by a respected and respectable jukwaa member. kenyastockholm.com/2010/02/27/Can this story about the Canada case (which is common knowledge to some of us anyway) be posted in the Nairobi Star?? I think that would be a good idea.

Since the so called KKV scandal took place while this Miguna guy was still in the the employ of the PM's office, can he shed more light on the scandal? And is it just a scandal now that Miguna is in the labor market?? Why was it not an issue to him while he was illegally earning a salary at thet PM's office (remember he refused to sign a contract). One day this man will move on and leave the PM alone. One day!!

Would he have reacted that way if he knew that the PM's statement was in reference to someone else?? Somebody please tell me

If you look at the timing of this article and other tirades elsewhere on this board by the same Onyango Oloo..... then it does not take a rocket scientist to realize that this is a well choreographed strategy in their re-newed and now twin-pronged attacks on the Prime Minister of Kenya. These people are just pathetic. Now wait for the very predictable response/warning/expulsion. Man:Which Onyango Oloo are you referring to? Onyango Oloo Nairobi OOMy sincere apologies Mr. Administrator. My gut was telling me that this was the other Onyango Oloo who is Uhuru's buddy, but when the article came at the same time that Miguna was engaging in his latest tirades, it was easier for me to assume that this OO was the administrator. I guess I end up with egg on my face on this one. My apologies once again.

Lakini, enyewe, hawa ma Ingwelets better than Ko'Girlos. Ama, wana Jukwaa what say you? Teargas not regretted! Wewe Phil wacha zako bwana. How dare you say that these Ingwelets are better than Ko'Girlos yet you only show a picture of an Ingwelet. Huo ni ungwana kweli? Tafuta picha of a Ko'Girlo and post it beside the Ingwelet and let the people decide. And don't just pick any picture.

In my humble opinion, I think the Prime Minister should just stay away from this epic duel. He has been a jinx to this team whenever he gets deeply involved. The fiasco of one Antoine Hey is just one example. I know populism takes priority sometimes, especially for the PM but how I wish he stayed away from this one.

Mr. OO, Are you willing to constitute a bench to hear my petition, or I'm I too late? There is too much evidence against this "landslide" victory including the "winner's" own admission of voter bribery.
If my petition is thrown out I promise to mobilize a strong coalition to face the incumbent at the next election.

hehehehehehe. I just voted for my friend titchaz. AdongoI have a confession. I voted for you yesterday. . This is rigging and I am filling a petition right away. The elections should be stopped until these issues are ironed out failure to which I will call for mass action.

[quote author=roughrider board=general thread=5866 post=77675 time=1317055422 Oloo often has trouble separating his personal opinions on topics from his role as forum steward. [/quote]
I couldn't agree more. And I am quoting the above text in a different context

Politics is hire and fire, and as for having a VERY STRONG case, well, let’s see written evidence establishing his terms of employment before we agree that he has a case. All this citing of case and statutory law means nothing without a valid contract of employment. I'm yet to see the claimant substantiate exactly what his was. . There is no written evidence establishing his terms of employment. Well, let me rephrase; there is written evidence establishing his terms of employment, which he refused to sign. Any more questions?

Miguna is finally coming back to his senses, albeit too late. But that is ok for his own good. My father use to tell me that in any crisis you need to think first and take a deep breath before you open your mouth. Miguna did the exact opposite. He ignited a huge fire which as he is now slowly realizing, he is unable to put out.
And NO, I don't think he has a strong case. In my opinion this offer to settle is a realization that his case has zero chance of succeeding in his suit. In essence he is looking for a soft landing for himself, a clever ploy if you ask me, but which is also bound to fail.
Just as frivolous as his lawsuit was, his offer to settle is so unreasonable that I doubt anyone would accept it. How do you offer to resign and at the same time demand to be paid full salary and allowances for the period between July 2011 and December 2012. So in other words you step out of office (he was already booted anyway) but still continue to draw salary for the remainder of your non-existent contractual period.
At the time he was screaming his lungs off about the PM and the PM's office, did he not realize that he would need a recommendation letter from that same office?? How can that office now sit down and begin jotting a good recommendation letter for Miguna in light of the vitriol that he directed towards the office. That is a bridge that he himself burnt and he has no moral authority to ask anyone to rebuild it for him. It really pays to look before leap, and unfortunately some people are learning this basic lesson the hard way.
My advise to Miguna (if he cared to listen, and I know he wouldn’t take any advise from a low-life like myself) is to pursue this issue quietly, out of court, away from the glare of the press and in a gentleman-type of agreement so that everybody goes away with whatever they get. By getting entangled in all these legal jargon he will end up suffocating himself with the legal jargon and lingo.
NB And now I await my warning and possible booting from this forum

Everything I said about Miguna in the aftermath of his suspension is coming to pass. When I said it I was actually kicked out of this forum. I said from the onset that his court case was null and void ab initio. The reality has finally dawned on him and realizing that he does not have a case, he is now pushing for an out of court settlement. Its good that he has finally come back to his senses and I wish him all the best in his future endevour. I hope there are some lessons he will carry with him

Who said that Kisia has failed? On the contrary he has done very well. He has managed to dismantle most of the cartels that existed at city hall, not to mention the increased revenue. I think he deserves to be governor
