GITHU'S CASE OR NJEE MUTURI'S CALL?There were two key rallies in the land of three pretender presidents ---Ouru, Raila, Ruto--- or four if you add Matiang'i. The cabinet wing loyal to Maatiang'i was in Kissii, The DP Tangatanga wing of Mpigs was in Eldoret. And there were fireworks of course. Rotich is a big fish. 30:00 There is a public narrative here conflating the AG in 2014, and the solicitor General then. These would be Professor Githu Muigai and Njee Muturi respectively. The Tangatanga squad here narrates they both gave a GO-AHEAD opinion to Thugge and Rotich of The Treasury. That is on the now dubbed phantom dams. There is a significant problem here. THE SPECTACULAR MOUTH AND SHARP TONGUE OF LAIKIPIA CATE WARUGURUWhat I remember is that James Orengo did not respond to a public put-down by the Laikipia women rep. The put-down was actually a very serious allegation which, for those who might have the notion their reputation, as pictures of honour, is a thing one double-crosses at their own peril, would have solicited a charge of character assassination and libel proceedings. --It is an insinuation by the full-mouthed Cate about a 'shamba', yaani, 'Ile shamba iko Kenya Defence College'! She lets that linger, maliciously, more like a hidden sword of blackmail over Ajimmy. The 'walking constitution' had proposed a retiring of Cate's hero, William Ruto, through a process known as impeachment. Just toward the end of this reel is where the sneer will be found. Then there are more hints at the arts of the dark, touching on the children the senior counsellor has thrown to the bushes! ---may be in satanic rituals! THE REPUBLIC OF MATUSI And there remains a lot to watch live, when Laikipia Cate is in flow. Then below at 26:03 is the killeer delivery to the open flank of Haji. It is Cate Waruguru, who else would it be, who calls Fred Matiang'i's bluff. The topic is Ruaraka, aka Ruaraka land scam.Fred Matiang'i sold the government its own land, and at quite a price! DPP Haji, it is only people associated with William Ruto unakamatakamata, huh!?NB: Behold, It is possible the DPP, Noordin Haji, like James Orengo, will consider answering Catherine Waruguru to be an exercise beneath his dignity! So let us rehash this Ruaraka thingy: A host of top bureaucrats in the Kartel Loop, sold the government its own land. ---What does the Auditor General say, for starters. Does Cate have a point, and if so, which one!? I say the Laikipia women rep hit the nail on the head! Cate already hinted she judges character and integrity! she does not reserve her awesome physique to xenophobic sensitivities, boasting she is married to a Kaleo. Wherefore I await the day her open-mindedness will rally to Miguna's plight, to contradict acting President Matiang'i's posiiton, that Nyando is in Canada! DPP Haji is of course out of answers. And out of moves. He can't arrest Matiang'i like he arrested Rotich, can he!? It is a thought, but only for those with balls like our dear Cate of Laikipia: that is kill two birds with one stone. Arrest the Kieleweke Kingpin Fred Matiang'i for Ruaraka, arrest the TangaTanga Landlord William Ruto for Lang'ata Weston Hotel. That is now real legacy talk, on the walk. And Kenyans can choose to demonstrate for the release of the two land scammers, and put this fake war on graft to rest for a while! NB: No due diligence again! But transaction proceeded: on whose legal opinion? Githu or Njee?AAh!? OTHER RUARAKA DETAILS, OPEN SOURCE.

WE NO LONGER SEE EYE TO EYEThere is an old song by the late Omollo Gabby ---of Lunch Time Fame. The song depicts a deteriorating marriage. It has lines like sweety-baby imegeuka stupid; I love you I love you imegeuka mbwa; I can't live without you, I wish you were dead.Very soon, sequels to the song entered the Mr. Agoya series. Mr. Wife Beater. A beast subjecting his wife to daily abuse. Omollo Gabby was given to lyrics celebrating those kinds of melodrama. Every medium of art takes a go at it you know; scenes from a marriage. Even a homosexual one like these political ones of our times! They were identical twins when they started, the Uhuruto (co)presidency which had issued from the ICC knot was a match made in heaven. Alas, today we read the bad rumours, like the president changed exit routes at the local airport named after his father, all to avoid his deputy who, protocol wise, had crossed other engagements to rush to receive him. Uhuru no longer can stand the sight of Ruto. Keeping up the necessary appearances even for formality's sake has become emotionally untenable for him. It sparked a flash of temper the other day at the Akorino event. The less he is seen in public faking up a good relationship with his deputy, the lesser internal torment His Excellency has to keep up with. Vintu Vichenjanga. ---Events! Events dear boy, cried Harold Macmillan, British premier. Getting wind of the JKIA protocol debacle ... I was jogged of memory to think of a story the grapevine first ran long ago. This would be early 2003 I think. The Green-Horn Chris Murungaru was then what Fred Matiang'i is today. The man in charge of internal security and pushing his weight hard. Mwai Kibaki couldn't care less about the pettiness of those around him, which gave them extraordinary latitude to indulge political illiteracy. That illiteracy manifested itself chiefly in the process of maligning and humiliating one, Raila Odinga. The Kibaki Tosha guy of the campaigns. Anyway, Raila decided to push the situation and find out how bad it was. Till then he had always had unrestricted access to Mwai Kibaki and Mama Lucy's State House, but a new circular had indicated he would have to apply for an appointment .... with Kibaki's chief of staff ..... And like every other Tom Okello, Dick Mutisya, and Harry Kamau he would have to wait for a No or Yes. So Agwambo drove without appointment to State House. He wasn't barred. No, the story goes the guards had simply never heard of Raila Odinga. But if he could leave his particulars with them, they could make inquiries and, may be, get back to him three months later. State House is a busy place. Delays can occur you will understand. When Mama Lucy Kibaki later got wind of this .... what she called an orchestrated humiliation, she confronted a man named Mateere Kereri. But Mateere wasn't the 'divan couch type' to enjoy lending his ears to the 'hysterics of a neurotic'. Therefrom, Kereri's relationship with Lucy would be increasingly rocky, culminating in a very public spat, years later. (Mateere was fed up and decided to publicly tell Lucy she wasn't the only Mrs. Kibaki he could think of!). Well, what can I say, but may be the famous feminine instinct warned Lucy her precious husband was in the hands of bad handlers. Raila was a bomb under Mwai's presidency and she could hear it ticking, even if close advisors like Stanley Murage insisted not. In deed it would take a massive bout of violence, PEV, for the trashed, key section of the MOU of 2002 to be unearthed: PM position. There is therefore nothing new in Ruto being time barred to see, or receive Ouru Kenyatta. There will be more orchestrated humiliations. Ruto too will soon learn to publicly snub Kenyatta face to face. After all his TangaTanga squaders have already reduced Ouru to former president publicly. What should be key to ponder, however, is the constituency, or level of general public support William Ruto commands, from which he can draw active, weaponised support and sympathy. Raila had a progressive draw, and it was nation-wide. He easily cornered Kibaki and Mwai's handlers had to move to Plan B: rigging. Agwambo's support was also (cross)generational. But William Ruto's Machiavellian antics of Christian piety officiated by an assembly of purchased clergy is an easy see through. His political entourage is also too gluttonous for comfort, and his hypocrisy too infanticomical. But his determination is authentic enough, his single-mindedness radiant and attractive enough in itself, so much so that his public utterances of humbleness, Hustler, are always exercises in self-caricature. The distance between his inner feelings and his public pronouncements these days, have become so wide, he has started to be a picture of tragedy. Oscar Sudi tried to arrest this (desintergration?) situation by telling him to face the brutal fact publicly: his with Ouru Kenyatta is over. But is William a Samsom who brings down the whole house with him? The cabinet wing loyal to Maatiang'i was in Kissii, The DP Tangatanga wing of Mpigs was in Eldoret. And there were fireworks of course. Rotich is a big fish. 30:00 There is a public narrative here conflating the AG in 2014, and the solicitor General then. These would be Professor Githu Muigai and Njee Muturi respectively. The Tangatanga squad here narrates they both gave a GO-AHEAD opinion to Thugge and Rotich of The Treasury. That is on the now dubbed phantom dams. There is a significant problem here. Earlier on, Professor Githu Muigai (now deceased as AG and replaced by a Paul Kihara) said both in public and in a written statement to the DCI Georgi Kinoti, that he did no such thing. In fact his professional opinion was overlooked. But I do not recall Uhuru's buddy, Njee Muturi, UK's former PA who rose to Solicitor General, shedding as much light as AG Githu. Perhaps he should now care to go on public record. Unless he is guilty. Yeah, nothing wrong with the qualifications. In fact Wanjiku couldn't find a better man to tell her a loan-deal (and a dam financial contract) stinks. In theory, see ANGLO-LEASING MANENO'S. Well, Githu did rise to the occasion this day of the dams Githu Muigai has thus exonerated himself. That leaves only one man whose legal opinion could have okayed the deal. That is the phantom dams scandal now drowning Thugge and Rotich. That one man is the Solicitor General. At that time it was Njee Muturi. Some will remember how Njee intimidated professor Onsongo to tears, but couldn't make headway with Irene Keino! Obviously Ruto's men have not read the fine print, or if they have, have chosen to deliberately incriminate the former AG, Professor Muigai. There is also this to keep in mind. A public secret really. More on that later. But of course this is still a question for Githu Muigai to answer properly and fully: after he recognised his expert opinion as AG was thrown in the trash-bin at the treasury, which meant Rotich and Thugge were brewing a stink, what did he Githu Muigai,as AG, consequently do? ----Did he warn his boss for instance? Or the then PM Joseph Kinyua on the record? Or did he sleep on it and, like a parasite, continue his withdrawal process from responsibility ----accepting the salary and perks, but sleeping on the job! NB: I think it was in 2014 when the Law Society of Kenya officially sought to have Githu Muigai removed from the AG Docket, because of his 'negligent' handling of the ANGLO-LEASING matters. Which means the famous professor can also be given to stupendous bouts of intellectual collapse, if not outright issuance of blanco cheques to government looters. This may be what the Tangatanga team holds in mind as they conflate him with Njee Muturi. These relations, and how power worked behind the scenes are in the open. Ruto's men are calling for a commission of inquiry into ALL DAMS, they all stink apparently, but I think the information such an inquiry would reveal, is already done so by investigative journalists, and the edited books of the Auditor General tells the rest. THE SACKING OF AN INSIDER Of coure my high-minded opinion of professors is sceptic, and not just because of his handling of the anglo-leasing details. And then the narrative of oligarchs and dynasties contra the Hustler nation The caste of dynasts then. Oscar Sudi of Kapsaret had a pinpoint observation about ordinary Kenyans not even spotting a ksh.1000 note in their pockets, while those who have stolen the land since Independence march about as generals against corruption! --- lazima tuambiane ukweli nchi huu! It was not clear then!? aaah, it is today then! See tangatanga squad. Who remembers the old political science of KREMLINOLOGY? It was more the art of divining the power shifts and thus speculating the coming policy changes of the Soviet Union, by studying the photographs of who stood next to who on the dais above the Lenin Mausoleum in Moscow, on the October parade day. Nairobi politics is less opaque I think. A podium like a daily newspaper as much as lifts the whole veil, revealing the total rot beneath the make-up of government. Taking a break from the DN, elsewhere we read But David Murathe knows betterAnd you know David Murathe is the man sworn to lead the stop William Ruto movement. But in April 2018 when Githu Muiga ----who had a correct opinion on the emerging scandal now dominating Uhuru's cabinet, was booted out, David Murage had the insight Njee Muturi's clout had risen! David Murathe should be questioned about this issue: when AG Githu Muigai refused to okay the dams contracts, but his opinion was ignored, who wrote the subsequent official opinion which allowed Thugge and Rotich to launch the scandal? ----The option Rotich and Thugge acted on untraceable ORAL instructions is of course possible. In the heyday of corruption, total state impunity and Uhuruto Unity, dangerous delusions of infallibility could have infected many a 50/50 insured bureaucrat. 2. Can a Kenyan Parastatal ---The Kerio Valley Development Authority in this case, in conjunction with the ministry of Finance, conduct foreign (Dollar&Euro) loan agreements with foreign companies and governments without the input of the Central Bank? I will have to check the commercial laws of Kenya. The expert Githu is silent and Dr. Bonny Khalwale's tutorial fell short on that. But with Patrick Njoroge touted as one of the best Central Bankers in Africa ----- unlike his Mozambican counterpart who allowed the military to contract private foreign loans without involvement of the Central Bank and ended up precipitating a currency crash, I would make a rational bet Patrick Njoroge too was overridden on this matter. Who needs a cash-and-time wasting public inquiry to state such simple facts and name names of who did what? Because, in our goodly Kenya, if the CBK failed to bleep red, that payments were being made abroad from the consolidated account without a DUE DILIGENCE CLEARANCE OF of the top-brain AG Githu Muigai, then Patrick Opus Njoroge too is garbage, like Kamau Thugge. GOODLY KENYA For I mean Kenya is not like Idi Amin's Uganda where, under a tree together with Maliyamungu and Mustafa Idrisi, big decisions were made and binding orders decided. Later, a Judge would ask an again Mustafa if he had archives, to support his memory which now was wholly dysfunctional. That was when Idrisi remembered all three of them, the most powerful trio in Uganda then, were illiterate. --'If I had gone to school and could write fast like you, I would have plenty archives for you!' And Amin's former VP grinned at the fas-writing young Judge! You know what, I am eagerly waiting for the Columbia and Harvard alumni to loose their memory in court. Remember, even the mighty American CIA lost her memory on the BLACK SPOTS thingy, when former director of those sites, Gina Haspel, was to face Congress for a confirmation hearing. NB: Life is terrible. Here I have to stop. Because I don't know how to proceed. Without a personal twitch. NB:

KAMANU THUGGE AND HENRY ROTICH: THE OBI OKONKWO SYNDROMEAll children's stories are the same. They are witty, and their fun borders on the incredulous. They are yarns that can be spun over and over again without boredom. And for adults, they have unending false bottoms, like the infinite matroeska (BABOUSKA) of the fairyland Russia. NB: Amazingly even the faces of Rotich and Thugge themselves seemed to be at a loss asking: what happened? how did it come to this? The mother of Engineer Michael Kamanu, Immaculata, collapsed dead in shock when she got the news the light of her eyes was a thief. If their mother still live, I will be hunting for their reactions to the sad news of the fall of their star sons, Thugge and Rotich. NEXT: CULTURAL TAKES ARE THE BEST. CULTURAL TAKES ARE THE BESTI tell ya. Cultural takes are the best. So, as I like to pontificate every so often, I am a die-hard fan of the GIMOMIYO series of African Folklore. The GIMOMIYO LIBRARY contains answers to any question, WHY. - For instance, WHY DO GIRAFFES HAVE LONG NECKS? (if a keen child chances to ask as its little rascal brains begins to question the world around!) We know of Darwin of course. That is the man of the origin of species. So too have we heard of the Monk Mendel, and his breakthrough, genes. But not today. Not in the realm of folklore. And that is the eternal fun in the GIMOMIYO series. So let me come again: cultural takes are the best. -- -WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THUGGE AND ROTICH HAVE LONG FINGERS?Genes!? Huh! African genes!? Huh! Kikuyu genes!? Kalenjin genes!? Jubilee genes!? 50/50 Uhuruto parentage genes!?~Huh! Huh! Huh! Naah! The point is made very quickly: Darwin in politics, then your final solution is the holocaust. And so a second take at GIMOMOMIYO: why do people like Thugge and Rotich have long fingers!?It is to the Chineke the bird chirps of the likes of Chinua Achebe for the best answers. --Variations on the OBI OKONKWO theme. Life is a b!tch and it kept chipping away at the dilapidated moral works of the treasury duo. The moral works of the star twins was already dilapidated because, to rise to the top of the Moi-KANU-redux mandarinate, and be trusted to the treasury, to oversee the bestial corruption which was the 50/50 Jubilee first term, Thugge and Rotich must have been certified bonafide, fellow travellers by their controllers. You know the twin did not apply for those jobs, no less than the new ones have. Importantly then, their would-be moral qualms, if any inklings would by doubt .... faced with the excesses (of corruption), would be easily extinguishable. The rest is human nature in a loose environment. With its failings like greed, or surreptitious lust just teeming below the surface, washing away the remnants of an already dilapidated moral constitution is merely logical. But We can make the Obi Okonkwo syndrome darker. This tangent we will call YAWA DHI KODE in Dholuo. PEER PRESSURE. The best I came across was in a German literary philosopher who wanted to know why the whole population around the Auschwitz concentration camp didn't feel too bothered with the racing chimneys. The shock was this: 'You mean they were burning to dust human corpses in there? Wah! I had no idea!' And another: 'those are fairy tales my friend. And anyway, it was a war and I was busy with my own survival, and everybody with his.' On and on it goes. The avoidance of responsibility became a creative indulgence. Until the new government was forced to criminalise the denial of the Holocaust (a later word). CORRUPTION CAN BE DEFINED, BUT NOT --INTEGRITY-- MORAL CLAUSE? Ouch! Ai yawa! So, the sting in the tail of the GIMOMIYO series: Nobody from the top, accused of corruption, reigned in before the courts and charged, has pleaded GUILTY. Nor has there been a conviction of a real swamp leviathan so to speak. This (DPP can't find it!) lack of evidence on one hand, and the avowed innocence of the Top Guns on the other hand, not to mention the cotton-white lawyers rushing to the defence of the falsely accused whilst Wanjiku's corner is a desperate repeat advert for cut-throats, works out to CORRUPTION AT THE TOP is fiction. No, it does not exist. Cases better be closed. (Hongera Prosecutor Taib! when there are no Young Turks daring enough, veterans must refind the gloves they hung, old warriors unleash the swords they seathed and make the charge, THIEF DOWN!) Or, if anybody Warranted like the Auditor General, or voluntary Samaritan like John the Transparent Githong'o, cares to table proof of LOOTED BILLIONS, then it is a thought to pass a law banning the denial of Corruption at the top offices of Kenya. Why do people like Rotich and Thugge have long fingers?Oh they don't! Fellow Citizen, have you ever, on your birthday for instance, or Valentine's April Fool's day, forgotten a delicious box of open chocolates in the staff room with half the staff ladies, and came back after twenty minutes to collect it for safe keeping!? A very contributory negligence. Thugge and Rotich are not the last pair of hyenas who couldn't resist a bite into a careless pile of cash. Neither, if comes to that, would Haji be the last herdsman who had a bloody-mouthed hyena in his sights and found reason not to do the necessary!

HOW DO GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS WORK? A TUTORIAL FROM DR. BONNY KHALWALE Just one point from the doc: There is no way PS Thugge and CS Rotich could have appended their signatures to the contracts, financial obligations, without written support and clearance from the office of the Attorney General and solicitor General.Professor Muigai or his successor should be in the dock. But Where are they? Haji is still a boy, he can't fool veterans like me, Bonny, who know how government works! This tutorial by Bonny Khalwale needs a 'hurt locker'. A bomb diffusion ace. ---how did the .ke government work in this swindle!? Professor Muigai's signature was forged for instance? by the two Obi's!? But the professor was sleek enough to cover his bases! That time I was asking what Kamau Thugge had learnt about the ANGLO LEASING SCANDAL, after this After that, thinking about the future of Africa, and the kind of calibre needed to tool it, I concluded Dr. Thugge is garbage. But no worries, the top echelons of Africa are clogged with garbage, which explains our bottom position in the global cutthroat game.

KAMANU THUGGE AND HENRY ROTICH: THE OBI OKONKWO SYNDROME
All children's stories are the same. They are witty, and their fun borders on the incredulous. They are yarns that can be spun over and over again without boredom. And for adults, they have unending false bottoms, like the infinite matroeska of the fairyland Russia.
There is a good book which for me falls in that category of divine children's books. Once you have read it ---even if not in the pompous sense of that Oxbridge phrase, you read them all.
For today I'm talking about the good read Obi Okonkwo. This is the Achebean character in the sequel to the legendary TFA, titled No Longer At Ease. It is the story of how the best and brightest boy of a generation in his village, became a despicable petty thief. Best-educated Obi became a total fraud in every sense, and a whiteman from the land whose best institutions of learning he excelled at, is mentally famished, striving to wrap his mind around this phenomenon. what happened? how did it come to this? Is the native essentially human litter, irredeemable by whatever civilisation, let alone the whiteman's? We hear Mr. Green's mind creak with effort.
What else do you want to know after Achebe takes you how it came to this!?
The name is Thugge, Kamau Thugge. The name is Rotich, Henry Rotich. The name is Saitoti, George Saitori! And the name is Michael, Michael Kamau.
And if you have been paying attention to the South African inquiry featuring former President Jacob Zuma, or is it Eduardo dos Santos, or Mubarak of Egypt, then you will know how easy it is to substitute those Kenyan names for another classical Obi Okonkwo from any African country today.
Measurements which rank corruption like the Transparency Index do show-case Africa in a very well, homework headache for the Mr. Greens of this world.
I have a separate headache I will come to shortly.
First, what are talking about in Kenya?
That is it in a nutshell.
The technocrats in charge of vision 2030, The Big Four Agenda or whatever the industrialisation take-off infrastructures may be called, excelled at achieving nothing. But fraud.
I am in a state of anxiety pondering the false bottoms of this indictment. You see, in the real world Nations compete, and those that don't, are meals at the tables of others. The leaders of these fallen lands, like Kenya, are mere vassals and puppets shoved around like weak-minded underage girls from broken families, served docile to the rich and famous paedophiles in the Carribean island of Orgygia, courtesy of the LOLITA express.
If this is how the politically annointed captains of Kenya, the technocratic caste of would-be managerial finess, do their domestics and manage public affairs, then Kenya is undefended. Like a dodo. And in the real world, a dodo is every pirate's meal. So, a whole elite indicts itself like this, what is our culture brewing out there, as the reckoning with these jokers when it is ready? ---I think quite a helping it will be.

FADING, SINKING AWAY, AT LAST OURU DISSAPPEARS, And President Matiang'i is conceived. HE Ouru Kenyatta has done what he should have done long ago. Kind of get out of the way. He has been a real waste of time. But there are these periods in history, technically called interregnum, when a nation has a very high tolerance for nuisance. The last 60 years in Africa where the promise of industrialisation and independence collapsed into neo-colonialism and mass squalor, is essentially an interregnum, a period in which the ruling cliques took leave of the national dream. And it continues, proof being it is China, a foreign power in chief, underwriting the AU, ie Pan-Africanism. Anyway, howbeit Mr. Kenyatta has furtively surrendered his pretended chairmanship of the cabinet of Kenya, offering her honour to another man, one relatively worthier of the task than him, computer kifaranga elect. In this case, arisen to the top is another villain, Fred the Robust Matiang'i. I will call him The ANTI RUTO. (project). But yes, you know what they say: until the whole series are decommissioned by, for instance, a technological advancement or the competition, the conveyor belt churns them out in different shapes and colours but, under the bonnet, the same core. Then, power too hates a vacuum and as you know, a bird at hand is worth two K's in the bush. (2K's = Kagame + Kaguta). As for the possibility of a woman rising to act as president of this republic, I really can't be bothered to contemplate that, even for the purposes of inclusive political correctness. The women in politics are too possessed of the slayqueen itch, they seem singularly incapable of keeping aflame the torch lit by cutthroat types such as Me Katilili, Chelagat Mutai, or Fieldmarshal Muthoni of the Mau Mau era. That narrows the power struggle at the top to males only. When the women of Kenyan politics emerge with a progressive agenda, pontificating Wanjiku's interests, one will witness what we now do in the United States. The POTUS shines in his full reactionary colours, baring his fascist core, leading a gathering of the like-minded to chant a deportation slogan against own citizens. And some will recall the official opposition under Mama Nancy Pelosi is The Squad rather debit than credit. (That is a story about universal healthcare and funding of public schools, not to mention militarism abroad!) Back to our shores. As I write this, Fred Matiang'i has been further parachuted to acting president. This is from what he was promoted to only yesterday: de facto Prime Minister. Yeah, Dr. Fred is the biggest beneficiary of The Handshake. To the stalemate which has locked the (once identical) Uhuruto twins in a duel of sibling cannibalism, chapter succession, does Fred Matiang'i owe his meteoric rise. But I am much more of the opinion that, for all his hyped bulldozer-like rips, Dr. Fred has no head for economics, nor political strategy. ---He wants to rely on lucky circumstances and others to neutralise William Ruto for him. That is being a baby, that is being like Ouru was the project of Baba Moi once upon a time; a parasitic beneficiary like Mudavadi would have liked to be, licking his luck in the Kibaki succession! It will be important to note Matiang'i has never collected a scalp at the battle fronts of corruption, and that is where the future of the land is to be decided if one asks the Kenyan for his heart. Those Mtihani House stories are children's bedtime, they do not even rank as forlorn scarecrows in a world in which supermarkets are positively poisoning Kenyans, and, for all government laboratories related to the Food Authority, it is an investigative journalist who rings the bell. Imagine then, new maize controversy aside, there is actually a war on corruption going on in Kenya! Yet this mass poisoning scandals are not exceptions. First the cancer sugar announced by Matiang'i himself, now the meat-reddening, aka the sodium metabisulfite scandal. So I say, waving these cold facts, Matiang'i is nothing when it comes to the issue Kenyans care most about, corruption. He can't mend the huge hole sinking the boat. (I would love to spin no sooner has he stepped in to act as prezzo, than Rotich and Thugge are in the cooler! So watch what comes next! But I can't. DPP Haji is a gimmicks man. Again it took journalists of the Nation to bring it to public attention that, for billions already spent on dams, not even a wheelbarrow pile of kokoto was on site!) But first, politics. 1. NO REVERSE GEAR, A RUNAWAY DISASTER IN POLITICS: You can rely on Matiang'i where the mercenary thorax is needed. He moved with mechanical piety to enforce the 2017 electoral rigging -- at gun-point. Murder. Baby Pendo and the likes of the pupil Moraa tell their sad tales from the grave. Neither instinctively nor intellectually did the capo perceive the dangerous balance of forces operative in public consciousness. The result of his unthinking 'thoraxity' was the freezing of economic activity. Protests spiralled to the point of breaking up Kenya. Matiang'i's toughness was midwifing two republics from one, live. There were interesting KANU-esque bouts of recidivism. Like bans on broadcasting the truth. Only Kenya had passed the total authoritarian mentality of sh!thole bureaucrats, that Matiang'i's bluff was called and found offside. I remember we were adamant in Kisumu to our Highland neighbours. Tell this thing from Nairobi University who never saw the faculty of political science, that there is more to The People's Agwambo than Simeon Nyachaye's famous dismissal: 'mere uncircumcised d.ick'. 2. THE SWEARING IN OF RAILA ODINGA AS A WATERSHED MOMENT. No, Matiang'i was still too drunk with little power to listen. He was on the side arguing for a military option, which would mean a bloodbath in daylight at the centre of Nairobi, and Uhuru Park. I wouldn't be surprised this the think-tank urging Kenya to solve the maritime dispute with Somalia (on the offshore oil&gas blocks) with military force. That is, the idiots maintain, the shaky KDF as already deployed in Kismayu, can be used to blackmail the Somali government into a Nanking-like treaty. ( Nanking was when the decaying China was forced to gift the South China Sea as a swimming pool to the British Navy, and elevate the status of the likes of HongKong to that of Whiteman's Isles, you know, like our own Laibon Lenana in his 1904 Ogirimitis' with the same, milestones when Kenya was on her way to becoming the Queen's overseas amusement park). Clearing Uhuru Park that day would have been a lunatic act. Think of 'the late' Omar El Bashir of Sudan, unleashing the Janjaweed in the capital Khartoum, only for that to be the final act of his last days in office. No, it isn't that Omar El Bashir wasn't tough enough, or as they say, didn't have the balls for genocide and mass murder on any given day or night, nay, during the wars in Darfur and against South Sudan, Bashir proved beyond any iota of doubt he ranks with the bloodiest of the globe. Need be, El-Bashir could run a scorched earth regime. No, it was just that this kind of bloodthirst toughness wasn't what Sudan needed anymore. No, required to arrest an economic crisis and social dislocation is a mind ironed on matters economic regeneration. Any fool holding command can give the order to mass murder. However, organising economic uplift, that is the gem you gotta crush thousands of rock to find; that is that needle in the haystack to search. So you are hearing me saying I have fathomed the new acting president Fred Matiang'i, and divined he is as tough as your usual tropical gangster with an insatiable bloodthirst, but on matters economics ----you know the Mahathir Deng Ke Kuan Asian Tiger kind of big balls, our new kid in town is just that, a zygote. So, just as deeper, or instinctively more future-attuned minds stayed the trigger hands that fateful day when at Uhuru Park Agwambo was oathed by Miguna Miguna&Co, our zygote will need steadier heads and firmer minds to guide him around the office, on matters finance and justice. For impunity and Old School KANU backwardness, he has enough to last two terms! But for economic uplift and take-off, he fires only Blanco'. But that is long term. Today, the lame -o-dead duck Ouru reckons he needs a kind of dare and brawny of which, in his cabinet, only Fred Matiang'i has the inklings of. Ouru desperately needs this to parry, or at least slow down the decided march of Ruto's forces. Ouru needs an assassin as it were, and that is Fred's role. The Luos say, a snake approaching, use whatever is at hand to check its path. (thuol iboto gi gino man e lwedo). Picture, for a cheeky moment, the campaign trail in Kenya 2022. Matiang'i the Kieleweke-Handshake candidate, Ruto the Tangatanga and others candidate. No, methinks the Handshake would need must have a rigging plan; for Ruto in a true case of the last bullet would run Matiang'i aground, around and about the campaign trail at large, the land throughout. Matiang'i versus Ruto is not anti-corruption versus corruption. No, it is an upstart (Ruaraka landscam) against an Old Hand (Lang'ata Weston landscam). Nothing to do with the future of Kenya. A WEDDING PARTY IN KIRINYAGAShe is not nnnnnn of course, neither is he. But they are old-fashioned enough to enter into respectability in their middle age. Well, to enter into respectability is to stop living in sin. In the land of mpango wa kando's, Ben Tens, toy boys, slayqueens and one-night-stand bar-loves, one would think living in sin is easily the rule rather than the exception. This was therefore a very charming step for the two birds of fame, Mumbi and Kamotho. It is a second helping at marital bliss for both parties, and because the Official Church ----even after the reforms of the bed-wandering Henry the 8th--- tends to be cagey in officiating repeats of the vow, polygamous or serial, Till God do us part, this was a ceremony where our culture, African and Gikuyu, which, unlike the non-Borgia Vatican, takes a very open mind about the number of nnnn, took the lead and centre stage. Mumbi the daughter of Mumbi shone as she should; and she showed it is never too late to find true love, happiness; and if one believes Mike Sonko, against Esther Passaris who swears the populist governor is a liar, the date with menopause is as flexible as the limits of tolerance the Kenyan society has for corruption. Yet she is a high profile politician. Mumbi is the governor of Kirinyaga, and she was once where Fred Matiang'i is today --- the number one in cabinet. Those were her heydays in Nairobi, under Uhuru One, both ways considered. This event was therefore a POWER ceremony. It was replete with symbolism, both of the past and the future. For one, none other than the Hustler Sing had been openly sizing nnnnnn, politically speaking that is, courting and cultivating her as a possible piece of Mount Kenya appeasement, ie Running Mate. Then, non other than the - dead duck?--- President, her alleged former paramour, attended in beaming parlance and highly recommended her to her new master and owner, ie, name-giver. Mumbi switches from Waiguru to Kamotho you know. Most women maintain their father's familial names these days, because, the growing sociological trend is, the shelf-life of marital vows these days is, should we say, without the corrupt and diseased doping like the supermarkets do with the meat they sell, a very short-life affair. So, if your marriage is long-lasting, endless like mine, you might want to avoid being reminded of nnnn you have swallowed through the years to celebrate the anniversary, multi decades on! Let me confide something personal. I am still onto my high-school sweetie, for keeps. But of course I had several high-school sweeties, because my father instigated me with: 'boy, I only see you with one girl all these years. Are you nnnnn!? Young, the only way I could defend myself against such a sting was was to be my father's son, nnnnnn, far and wide. As the years wore on, some of my high school sweeties I broke up with were divorced, some became widowed, yet others stayed single. I didn't mind becoming their patro nnnnnn, not least for old time's sakes. Also in his passing my father bequeathem me portions nnnnnn, and I fear his ghost enough to desist from rebellion! My wife, seeing a heritage community husband in me, decided to fight her corner thus. On one of her visits to her home in Mount Kenya, she reported she ran into her former secondary school sweetie. The man was a high school teacher and couldn't believe she had betrayed the House of Mumbi by mortgaging nnnnn! ---Madness! Divorce him today, I marry you yesterday, O my divine Mumbi love! Taken aback by her honesty, I asked my beloved wife what her heart ruminated! She proposed a compromise thus: nnnnnnn! He is a polygamist with mpango wa kandos' too, just like you, so I would be stupid to leave you for him at this later age. But he reminds me nnnnnn' So we worked out a compromise in which my best half has a yearly leave to visit MK nnnn. These are some of the secrets of my eternal marital bliss. I am sure you have yours too, but I would bet nnnnn the gives and takes are not any different. The game of eternal marital bliss, are the concessions you can live with. And so as I enthralled myself watching Kamotho and Mumbi, I hoped they had learnt from their earlier failures. And this time there was no need for strategic spoilers like married in separation of property. ---That is the COME-EASY-GO-EASY clause, when two rich people (or one poor but the other rich) get married and sign a property agreement which dictates by divorce there will be no LEGAL claims to alimony by either party! In some countries they call this go-as-you-came clause sleeping together with eyes wide open! WELL! THAT IS PRIVATE! Money is always a Kenyan's first love, they say, culturally depersonalised as we are. A POWER SHOW Given the corrupt nature of the main visitors, there hung another odour to the latest happiest day in the life of the former Waiguru. The odour of cynicism, expedient opportunism and political machinery. Come to think of it, it was not for nothing Bob Colymore of Safaricom dictated his cremation be a closed affair. The politicians with their crocodile words could have their opportunity later in the Churches of God which, fortunately for them, have been turned into temples of corruption, money laundering, auctioned blessings, tythe blackmail rackets, and citadels of hypocrisy. Huh, Where is William Ruto in this photo!? ---Banished like Miguna!?But the former Waiguru was in her element. After all, this is her class. She of the NYS manenos! Nevertheless the show-case traditional wedding, with Mumbi the daughter of Mumbi in appreciation of her deeper roots, captivated yours truly and, I believe, warmed the heart of many a Kenyan. Because there is a way in which our cultural alienation can be considered a spiritual confusion which, come to think of it, belies the the intellectual inaptitude a the heart of government. ----(See the latest maize scandal now which means no bureaucrat can actually say with figures, what the maize statistics are in the country. That is when putting the million bags in store against the expected consumption, will inform of the deficit to be imported, or excess to be exported. Alas, just like the treasury couldn't do the math neither on Eurobonds nor Phantom dams, Maize figures too are beyond government math abilities!) Then one recognises there is a deeper problem. Like a spiritual concussion, leading to a ZOMBIE Bureaucracy. Or a cultural dehumanisation, leading to a mental collapse in leadership, and a general malaise of bureaucratic inaptitude. Howbeit very quickly Odinga and Kenyatta turned their vote of thanks into a NEW TESTAMENT BASHING of sorts! Queen Anne, she may have been tainted by the NYS heist and all, may have tried to sue Raila for spoiling her good repute then, but today, when stopping Ruto's inroads into MK is the agenda in the political small town, he chequered history as a cartel handmaid and an anti-devolution cabinet secretary for devolution were bygones belonging to the realms of fiction. But there is stuff no one can gloss over, not even one who avowedly worships Mumbi puszy like yours truly. It is worker's rights. Before I comment, the internal politics of Kirinyaga, and the absence of Martha Karua, the once Iron lady, from the frontline when labour is under attack. Was it Anyang' Nyong'o who first sacked all striking doctors in Kenya? And was that under the Chief Justice Wily Mutunga or his successor David Maraga, when officials of the doctors Union, KPMDU, then led by Dr. Ouma Oluga, were jailed by Judge 'Cruella' Wasila? This war on labour, that is the ball to keep your eyes on! The rest are side-shows, bullsh!t and smokescreens to camouflage distractions. weddin what you missed

IRAN F: THE CYBER WAR IS ON, HAS BEEN ONAccording to Donald Trump, American bomber-planes were ten minutes to payload-offload when he leashed them back. They were on their way to cut some hair off the bushy faces of the Mullah's of Tehran. Then, listening to projections, Trump realised giving the Ayatollah's that beard-shave was a blood debt, 150 Iranians dead. That was when the kindly heart of the POTUS rebelled. He found a lot of warmth for the Persians therein, wherefore he stood down the mother of all bomb runs. For such was the fire-and-fury he intended to let burst over the Iranian caves at the mouth of the straight. It was from those caves the Iranians shot down ---after repeated warnings----- an unmanned American drone, over $120M worths of it. The men who had piloted the drone to deliberately trespass on Iranian airspace had calculated they locked Trump down with the Iranian shot. ---Alas, they had failed to consider the Persia-philic heart of the former real estate magnate. Just like Joe Biden too, had not held reckons with Trump's love for the little rocket man of Korea. When Trump met Kim at the demilitarised zone between the two Korea's, Obama's former VP was left fuming, wrong-footed. But, romantics aside, why didn't those American planes rise to the task? and even if they half rose, why did they abandon the sting? WHAT FORCED TRUMP TO STAND DOWN THE PLANES The answer is simple enough: self-preservation. The high risk was the world economy would blow up. It is sluggish, precarious, delicate and far from shock proof. The sudden rise in the price of oil, past a certain threshold per barrel, predicted a total global meltdown. Trump would win the military war, but the victory would be a Greek term: pyrrhic. Iran seems to have informed both Russia and China to do what was in their best interests, but Iran would respond to the USA attack with full might at the USA assets in the gulf. Putin may have offered Trump an offer he couldn't refuse, the way he had Obama when Obama had foolishly drawn a line in the sand over Syria's chemical weapons. (####see footnote###)So Trump ordered a cyber attack instead. Again like his predecessor, Obama. Remember the infamous Olympic games of Netanyahu and Obama? And the Nitro-Zeus project? Behind the scenes Trump does not mind copying Obama. Anyway, Iran quietly reported her cyber defence teams had rebuffed the latest joint Israeli-American hack effort. Trump and Netanyahu's attempts to disable Iran's powergrid and, consequently, render her defence capabilities blind, had failed. Howbeit a few months earlier, in the operation replace Chavista Maduro with the puppet Guaido, the CIA cyber operations department had used Venezuela as a guinea pig in this area. It is likely due to unforeseen interconnectivity, this dry-run spilled over into a momentary, total blackout in the whole of South America. It is the future of things to come for the undefended. So that is where we are today in this world, putting poison in one another's wells. No protocols on Bio-Chemical warfare, sorry, the War of the Algorithms. Given the scale of these attacks, I think we already have heard the starting shots to our war of the worlds. NEXT: how about an international treaty to regulate the race to the algorithmic Armageddon? And TOWARD A WORLD SHUT DOWN, A DIGITAL WIPEOUT

IRAN SPECIAL: 1D. WHO IS AFRAID OF ANOTHER GULF WAR?
No, nobody!
Well, the Lord works in strange ways, but stupidity is always clear. We will have our world war some time. Though by new definitions and technological developments, there are arguments the war is already on. For instance there is a hot cyber war already. The war fought with smart algorithms.
But the rest of the world is still very old fashioned. The world is full of Old World weapons, you know, nuclear bombs, missiles and rockets, air-craft carriers, spears and matchetes, bows, arrows, rifles and tanks. The usual paraphernalia of mass murder. And since rights are too scarce to be afforded all humanity, wherefore social liberty, dignity and peaceful prosperity is the privilege of a minor, mostly hereditary aristocracy, things will only get hotter and more Old Worldish.
The world powers of today behave as if they think people like .... the Iranians and Palestinians are untermenschen. A subhuman species.
NB: The British (under the lifeless mummy Teresa May) who were the first to confiscate Venezuela's gold on the pretext it belonged to the American puppet Guaido, are the same who have buccaneered an Iranian Oil tanker headed to Syria, off Gibraltar. It is the medieval gunboat diplomacy that buttressed colonial plunder and imperial piracy. But well, there has been a development. At least the Brits are honest enough to admit they were just obeying orders, From Trump. (Initially they said they were enforcing EU sanctions on Syria. When they heard, Juncker and Tusk who were at yet another EU banquet where portfolios are wheeled and dealed, froze their whiskey glasses in mid air: which sanctions!?)
So is the deadly farce of contemporary international politics. A dead-end game for many.
WHAT IS PEACE, WHAT IS WAR IN THE DIGITAL ERA?
2019 Osaka Japan; So the G20 sat there in their imperial robes. Of course some more regal than others. Howbeit there was an air of impotence they oozed. Ever since the financial crisis from 2008, followed by the forced public bailout of Big PRIVATE Banks, under the slogan TOO BIG TO FAIL, it is like a mask has been torn-off these gatherings of political heavyweights. Everytime a politician speaks, one has to mind the puppet master working the strings or, as we say in Dholuo, wagging the tongue of the dog. Politicians are in power officially, and formally, but do they make the decisions they pledge to carry out on behalf of the people?
There are two instruments of the international status quo worth considering in this G20-game. One is the monthly BIS, the other is the DAVOS Annual. Both are Alpine, Swiss events.
And it matters to find out whether the two are Afraid of a war in the Gulf today.
NEXT: WHAT IS THE BIS, WHAT IS DAVOS? Both Swiss.

IRAN SPECIAL: 1C. ONCE UPON A TIME AT THE TOP OF THE WORLDA lot of peopless were locked out of an international deal ---of peace, security and prosperity! They had their cake and ate it at the same time! Nearly. Interestingly in Paris, on that 1920 day, there were strident voices tried to hinder the " Big Three," from eating their cake and pretending to keep it whole. The Big Three were Woodrow Wilson of the USA, Georges Clemenceau of France and David Lloyd George of the United Kingdom. One of those 'irritating distractors' was a young man from Vietnam. He was a nobody, but his heart harboured a dream the history, and future of his long-suffering people. This then unknown character would later be the notorious Ai Quoc. Uncle Ho to his ace Generals and hardened Commanders. In the next half a century Uncle Ho would pull off a military feat which would not be done justice by a David and Goliath narrative. Nguyen-Ai-Quoc (the later known as Ho Chi Minh) speaking at the foundational congress of the French Communist Party in December 1920. Michael Goebel The broad reactions were, this was a loony, a coolie scumbag full of sh!t, red sh!t! But fast forward to SEPTEMBER 02 1945 But there were other non-Asian nationalist sensitivities too, unminded in Paris by the powers that were To their folly. Berlin was not as far from Paris as Beijin, Hanoi or Nairobi, .... but .... But Gustav Stressman and the government he represented were by this time irrelevant. German Politics had moved on past the league of nations, far past the big three and their fix. Therefore, reading this clause of the league of nations as warranted by the Big Three one would laugh in retrospect, were it not that in 1939, the sh!t would hit the fan as they say. The league of nations fix at the behest of the Big Three had ignored one of the primordial, terrifying passions which lurk beneath the human breast: the sense of dignity, freedom and integrity. The seethe against daily, and national humiliation. Because I like to thumb through history books to awe myself at the blindness of world leaders intoxicated by the trappings of power, every new high event where contemporary world leaders meet to run the world always moves me to introspect who is absent at the table, and why. And it is always amazing how much of a fit contemporary fixes are a match to the same old colonial template of ignoring the true wishes of all mankind, freedom peace and prosperity, and punishing the independents. (the so-hyped inalienable rights of all being born equal continue to be fairy tales, bullsh!t to the powers that be! that is why there is the spectre of a war out there, haunting!) Truly I ask: what must happen for Iran to be present and treated with equality, respect and dignity? That British act of international piracy around Gibraltar, hijacking an Iranian tanker and its crude, is the kind of arrogance and insolence which, history be read, is not Brittania ruling the waves, but proof of an empty-headed London. As if the Brexit chaos were not enough proof of elite incompetence. No, the internal contradictions of the UK can no longer be exported. So Osaka 2019 G20. I couldn't help noticing the absence### of the beards from Teheran. And checking Iran's economic potential against other attendee's. Another name for G20 is Go To Hell Iran I think. And did the G20 2019 discuss the Palestinian plight, did they? No, but they discussed Terrorism! ###ABSENCE: Chinua Achebe always told this anecdote: he was looking for his Igbo people in 'colonial' literature and only came across an absence. Yet the Igbos were so present in the world to him. So he decided to write about them himself, give them a presence in whatever literature! ---I always paraphrase him thus in class: it is like having a kok and using it several times a day for whatever purpose, some of them too dirty to mention but too sweet to abandon, yet being told by your master you are cockless and a cu.nt! Then you might feel to drive your kok up the master's arsehole just to make the argument a bit more heartfelt! NEXT: WHO IS AFRAID OF ANOTHER GULF WAR?

IRAN SPECIAL 1B. But first: AND THAT WAS THE 2019 G-20 IN OSAKA, JAPANFar away from the cameras which closes us up on the faces of the puppets acting out full-spectrum dominance, say the nominal leaders of the G-20 economic block as we count them heads of states, other raw events dictated by steely decisions take shape. This process or phenomenon is no less valid for the Kenyan political scene too, where, say the G-3, for Ouru Ruto and Raila, are, on the face of it, truly deities engaged in full-spectrum dominance. But behind the daily tedium of our political stars as obsessed over by the corporate mass media, is a world pregnant with other more significant events. Only one needs to wade through the deliberate obscurantism and obfuscation. Did oil prices feature a the recent G20 in Osaka, Japan? They did. In fact there was a huge bilateral breakthrough between Russia and Saudi Arabia. It left India weeping. And Iran hanging like OPEC. It is Pompeo of the USA to assure us of ADEQUATE OIL FLOW? The economic interests of Indian organised in a lobby-body looked at newly-elected Prime Minister Mordi, their eyelids gaping, their bellies churning. Did the size and precariousness of the world debt feature? I bet it did, which means the hottest topic in the G20 summit was war in the gulf, Trump versus Rouhani, and its effects on World's leading Banks. But neither the president of Iran nor the spiritual leader of the Islamic republic were at the table in Osaka, Tokyo. Yet two token tinnies, or Tom Thumbs, were there: Cyril Ramaphosa for South Africa and Justin Tradeau for Canada. It made me think of many things from the past, of world history. (Like Euro-colonial powers gathered in Berlin to carve up the destiny of Africa, not a single African at the table, 1870's!) It is always a dangerous folly in international politics where the powers of the status quo incorporate their eternity in the agreements, secret or public 1920 Huh, safeguard territorial integrity and political independence of member states, again huh!? Pray Tell! how does the world look like in 1920, in terms of member states and their political integrity!? I checked the map! But wont bother to paste! For One, the whole Indian subcontinent is the private estate of the English ruling class. The proposed clauses of the league of nations on territorial integrity would maintain that feature: the colonial status of India under the UK. Then China, then: It would appear neither did the nationalist sensitivities of China matter to the drafters of the clauses in Paris, 1920. One can bother to learn lessons from the past. But there is really no need, since life if only ever too ready to teach them again! Next: THE BIG THREE IN 1920, TAKING CARE OF WORLD BUSINESS.

WAITING FOR A WAR, where will the big-bang be!?
This posting will be a middle east special, chapter Iran and Trump.
JCPOA TANKING, SUNK TO THE BOTTOM
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, in short, the Iran NUCLEAR DEAL of Obama.
IN any case, the administration of Donald Trump, The Obama-successor POTUS, blew it up long ago, ie in 2018. Great Britain, yes, I said 'GREAT', seems to have lost her head. And I am not hinting at Teresa May's departure. The rest of the disheveled, motley signatories have been keeping up quixotic appearances, riding a wooden horse, pretending otherwise.
Except Iran.
Pushed to the wall, the Islamic republic has no more room to retreat. Iran has to break out. And she is hard at it, the best she can, short of capitulation. Some will remember the words of Ayatollah Khomeini on July 20th 1988.
This was on accepting the UN resolution 598 to end the Iran-Iraq War. Then, like the Trojan war, close to its tenth year.
'The United states, seething at the overthrow of its puppet regime under the Shah, Supreme King Reza Pahlavi, was firmly on Saddam Hussein's side that time. A host of coming imperial cynics in Washington DC were enthralled. There was young Dick Cheney, there was young Donald Rumsfeld, and there was of course the B-actor Ronald Reagan with his VP, the ex CIA Chief, George Bush senior. They were all jubilant at using Arabs (blood) to drain Persians (blood) while white Christians stoked the war emmers and enjoyed the watch: stage perfect. Theft oil flows cheap. The futures of these brown nations and their dark peoples distracted, thrown back, far back.
Conquerors are never really aware how deep the conquered study history to learn. (I think, off the cuff, that could easily have been Ho Chi Minh telling an inverse 'mother bed-bug story to his then young commander Vo Nguyen Giap. They were in a cave, late 1940's, bombed out of Hanoi by superior French airpower. The future never looked dimmer. Ho was impressing on the remnants of his politburo, that the French were no problem.
France was dead in IndoChina.
'Saviour Vo, believe me, it is the Americans whose big, big and super-size as.s you gonna have to kick and tear apart. Or we are toast! Americans are the coming colonial power over Vietnam, forget the French. France is passe. These bombs over Hanoi are her rigor mortis!'
And yet it was French planes and paratroopers who had driven them reds out of Hanoi. Young Vo didn't really think the Americans were his greatest problem. Ho grinned, a famous grin still found in many memorabilia, even T-shirts found in Ho Chi Minh City, aka Saigon. The grin of an older man who has seen a bit further, and knows the river of blood is yet to be crossed.
Reliving the moment over 60 years later, an aging Vo Giap would collapse in laughter! I thought uncle Ho was mad! Old and Mad! And then a thoughtful quip which revealed the uncertainty of that moment in the cave in his youth: there are moments a nation needs a mind to lead, a mind forged beyond all that is known as hard. We the people of Vietnam found that in Uncle Ho. He believed in our ability to defeat any invader, however powerful.
I think the Iranian supreme leader is not so far from such an Uncle Ho-Vo moment.
A TENACIOUS MULLAH
Ayatollah Khameini is putting up a remarkably controlled and careful response regime. But I think the sh!tstorm is out there, and coming. The United States is cornered. She can't handle the consequences she has wrought, by forcing China and Russia to gang up together in active opposition to her designs. That is the Eurasian axis which, howbeit now, a furtive Mordi's India is tentatively knocking to join, forced by her own peculiarities of interests, not least, economics. Somebody out there must pay for the disconcert of a receding power, the USA. And one with the greatest show-case of military prowess ever assembled in human history. That Trump Card must come to pass, even if to end an era, much like the British fiasco at Suez did her in, many decades ago.

TEAM TANGATANGA CHANGES ITS MIND: MIGUNA MIGUNA BELONGS HERE!AHAHAHA HAAAAAA! TEAM KIELEWEKE IS NOT TOO SURE! Mayoo! My grandmother is said to have lamented: 'A life too long led me to witness the dawn of the era in which man now builds houses for excrement!''budho-e-piny nomiyo aneno ka Chi-Eth igerone ot!' It is now KIELEWEKE and a host of my Nyanza hommies to explain why they insist Nyando is in Canada, on the outskirts of Toronto and not Kisumu! Mano iluongo thuol odonjo e ko! ---Folks, we have a situation! (a leech burrowing in the Venus Peak of your mother in law who came to visit you, as they say in swamp communities!)But first, the comedy. Yes, there are these bombs that tic-toc in the subconscious of many a front of respectability. Power has a lot of skeletons in its cupboard. Consider the the breaking scandal in the USA today. Men like the ex-celebrated Jeffery Epstein, are revealed to be perverted, minotauric sexual predators on defenceless minors from broken families. And, behold, his deranged entourage boasts non other than the who was who of the united states, chief of them, Bill Clinton, famous for Monicah Lewinsky. These aging predators had a special gangbang island aptly named LOLITA ISLAND, and the cargo-ferrying company, Epstein's jets, LOLITA EXPRESS. This was a child-rape island, truth be told, no less than Guantanamo was/is a Muslims-abuse bay, off the mainland of the USA. But that is an American horror, not ours. I would rather our open culture of MPANGO WA KANDOS, than the secret paedophile rings of powerful rapists in the USA, with the judiciary in their pockets, the secret service their patrons, and political parties their cheer leaders. THE MIGUNA EXORCISM, THE INJUSTICE HAUNTINGAbandoned by the hommie political class, read Luo for hommie, it is now the mortal enemies of Raila Odinga who, today, VOW to fight tooth-and-nail to see an end to the INJUSTICES visited upon one, Miguna Miguna. Matiang'i and Kibicho are the ones left carrying the can on this. The tangatanga stalwarts have vowed to fight for Miguna Miguna's return! We will see if they file a separate case from the one James Orengo and Havi are working on, or whether they seek to be enjoined! Once upon a time the Jubilee were united the Miguna Miguna was a Canadian, and deserved his deportation. Now the tables have turned! ---These Mpigs of Nairobi! their minds are more camouflage tuned than the famous gimmicks of chameleons! But the pressures leading to such fexibilities, duplicities called pragmatism, are real enough. This is political theatre. But it is dark and deadly. Only last year, Mike Sonko of Nairobi proposed Miguna Miguna for his deputy, to replace Polycarp Igathe. And now this. --Huh!? Culturally speaking, we must then pause to ponder the scarecrow Miguna Miguna. There is a ticking bomb in our subconscious, Kenya, where the name Miguna Miguna pops up as the sceptre to call the bluff on powerful enemies. It is flattering. Culturally speaking. It is a clear symptom of a split consciousness. Like those stone-age days of the official --currency--- exchange rate, and the black market rate being the best and better statement on the economy. It is like we are wearing very smart shoes, but can barely walk straight, since inside the shoe is a deeply hurting pebble. We are likely to be forced to sit down and remove the debilitating prick before we can resume easy gait. Cultural takes will be best. Don't loose your sense of humour, yet!

RUTO'S DARING IS THE WINNER
THE Beguiling Kanze Dena should watch her charms. They are under erosion. Last time she tried to resuscitate some interest in the passed-away tenure of president Ouru, it was to no avail. The official spokeslady charged H.E had reached his elastic limit; and henceforth, only action will speak. But as we have seen, it all fell flat on its face before it started, forlorn like the mating neigh of a castrated stallion.
Even the laziest mind in Kenya recognises the agony of the faded President. It is what to do with his deputy. Of course William Ruto generated the political credit with which Ouru bribed his first term, but come the second term, this credit was not enough to whitewash his fraudulent legitimacy and Agwambo had to chip in as extra surety. Meanwhile the man ----aka The Hustler--- is out of control and increasingly upping the stakes, bluffing loudly. Now with that Itumbi tape.
Take the case in which the President issued a blanket ban on politicking around the land, to campaigning. DP Ruto promptly went wherever he wanted, bribed the clergy he wanted into handling stolen property, opened whatever phantom project Jubilee had launched, and there is no podium he chanced he didn't use to excoriate the Handshake Principal, Raila Odinga. Yeah, Lately the former co-president moved to blow up the cabinet with his fake yell of muder!
Murder! Murder! In deed it is Uhuru himself who continues to be scared off the Mount Kenya turf. The president is waiting for the deep state to soften the tangatanga stalwarts first. Thereafter can he dare meet his people. He may have reached his elastic limit, but who cares? Isn't he already an ex president at best, a hologram at worst?
'Punguza Mizigo' initiative
This very day as I write, the Mpigs are adding themselves perks and bonuses which would make a wall-street banker, pre the financial crisis of yonder, envious. And the son of Jomo woudn't dare even a cough at the rats. Not that anybody expects him to cough anyway
DARING IS RUTO'S TRUMP CARD And he is better off being true to his character. This is the fight for, and of his life. There is no point pretending the daggers are not primed and closing in, for the kill. Ruto better fight, with ferocity.
Raila Odinga's supremacy among men was never based on his administrative brilliance (Tom Mboya) nor his economic thought ( Mahathir, Lee Kuan Yew and other Asian Tigers). Nay, Agwambo's magic is the cult of the warrior Kings. These are Hardmen who led from the front, charged into battle ahead of the troops, and on the bad day paid the highest price at the frontline. Such are the stuff of legends from antiquity. Such swashbuckler archetypes are neither brilliant in office intrigues nor the closed boardroom plots to rigging elections. Nevertheless they do strike the fear of death in the heart of paper Generals, if only because they, Braveheart Kings, carry the people along in their genuine if tragic heroism. So once Agwambo makes a decision, he goes for it. As other balls cringe up bellies, Tinga will hold the ground and Fort. So he did once again, Tall and resilient, on January 30th 2018 at Uhuru Park, while his pretender principals went off the radar, peaking as cowards.
That was the day NASA died, Weta became a minor, and the rest who knows!
And that is where Ruto comes in. The Samoei does not peak in cowardice.
He too is a man of balls, grit and daring. And to top up his ambition where the peoples love is insufficient, his singlemindedness forces him into significant ruthlessness and skulduggery. So did he connive Ouru into tricking the mentally lazy Mudavadi into thinking, 2013, they would back him into state house. Ruto's utter contempt for Mudavadi is beyond camouflage. And it is deserved. ---The Hustler saw him up close as Moi's last Vice President, Uhuru's first ever running mate, Raila's deputy in the Pentagon, GCG fellow Vice President with Uhuru, fellow cabinet member, etc etc. A notorious nuisance was the best he could describe MDVD.
Anyway The Hustler is by far the superior of his generation of state looters, and also of other other aspiring lootocrats. He is the King of Bandits. ---And that is the scientific term used in standard literature: Bandit bourgeoisie.
What can such a man do but fight to his death, a heroic tragedy like that of the Trojan Hektor, or reach the peak of his ambition through a jungle of corpses like the Tutsi restoration King, Paul Kagame? This is the drama of his Power life. Ruto has no surrender in him. But Uhuru does not have the dagger heart to put the tip of the sword to Ruto's throat, wherefore he is doomed to source out the job to shadowy figures who do plots in the dark. But even there, Ruto knows he has to more than always watch his back. That is why he is forcing torpedoes the likes of Kibicho Karanja to surface.
The Hustlers true strategy, which unfortunately is also the tragedy of Kenya, is that the popular struggle has never been part of his agenda. He has never defended Wanjiku's corner. He is always on the other side, the Dark Side, the Looters' side. The status quo of corruption, capture of the state by cartels, election rigging, mass squalor by state neglect, suits him best. He is the best candidate for the old order. The order which must die for Kenya to breath forwards. There is no iota of reform in the Hustler. The Singh is an ultra conservative. It is a bandit's rule, and he is the best bandit.
But there is a historical trick possible.
We are in a hole but have not reached the proverbial bottom. When that bottom is reached, there springs the universal consciousness that, not only need we stop digging, but too, with speed need we get the hell out of that hole. At that tipping point there is only one direction, up, and up. The nation rises true.
But first the worst, so that we are convinced in toto. The worst I think, is the best bandit in power.
Away with the placebo's!

Such a wasted life, is the tragedy of a majesty keeping up powerful appearances, yet in reality is controlled by circumstances beyond His Highness. There have been many situations in history where the King is essentially a figurehead, a use-tool under the boot of others who usurped superiority over his throne.
We have of course witnessed several flares of temper in the man, The Muthamaki Kajomo, and loud did we muse: there! See the puppet test the chains! Behold the inklings of a rebellion? Today the incredible Hulk emerges?
ALAs, no sooner did the seethe of tantrum ripple the surface than the slave coiled back to its golden cage, docile and surrendered. The looting of Kenya continued unabated. Scandal after scandal rolled out of the books of state. Poisoned sugar was even imported and fed Kenyans, just to spite President Ouru, that his oath to protect Kenyan lives wasn't his call.
Very sad.
PU-YI
NB: I write this with this situation in mind. The last Qing dynast. Later during his re-education to find his true self, former emperor PU Yi is interrogated by his new red keeper: 'did you not know the papers you signed gave the Japanese express rights to conduct medical experiments on Chinese citizens, your purported subjects!?'
Quick Jig: 'Mr. Kenyatta, did Matiang'i not tell you the imported sugar was mercury laced and would, cancer aside, genetically mutate Kenyans, whose due Muthamaki you purportedly were!?'
A bemused Pu Yi grins at the interrogator: 'You really think I read that sh!t? Ever since I was a kid I grew into signing sh!t I never read. My whole life was a formality, routine and protocol. Like now you red sh!ts are holding me prisoner!'
Quick Jig: Ouru goes like: 'My hands were tied. They always were. What could I do!? It was all in Parliament's hands!'
Well, just thinking aloud. Recently there was another surge of seethe to the surface. Ouru Kenyatta breathed fire in his native Gikuyu. He appears to have been stung that some quarters treat him like a certified coward. He would show them, Crush them.
The adorable Kanze Dena told us the president had reached his elastic limit. But wapi? The national priority for crushing has been corruption, both by fact and public sentiment, And that, we can now conclude after his first and now second term, is dry meat which His Excellency's nyamachomping jaws cannot handle.
And yes, his cabinet is as good as collapsed. Neither can he dissolve it and constitute a new. No, he has no such powers. His hands are ... you know.
Which is what we call a dead presidency. But who knows, puppet masters behind the scenes may still have a secret string. To pull in a crisis.

THE MBOYA CULT HAUNTING
this year there was a flurry of activities: JOWI! JOWI!
Remembrance without copying.
You could say that of Bob Collymore too. Colymore is the celebrated man who replaced the now again recycled Michael Joseph at the helm of SAFARICOM. To all purposes he was an apt replacement and a very able CEO.
Politicians, one and all have been quick to heap praise upon the late Collymore. But none, dare honour him with the greatest form of flattery, imitation. No, his leading example is beyond their behavioural faculties of mimicry.
And that is the Thomas Joseph Mboya cult too.
Odhiambo Ndiege Ounga Mboya set the bar in the sky. That fact, or achievement, remains the greatest cultural signifier of the alienation of our elites. --this alienation continues to manifest itself in terms of incompetence, laziness, greed and financial debauchery; economic cannibalism and political infantilism. And murder.
Okay. We are confronted with loss. But the legendary benga-rhumba guitarist and composer, Omogy Georgy of Continental Kilo DumbeDumbe, in his memorial song to Tom, sang thus:
Huzuni itakwisha polepole. Kuzaliwa Harusi yake ni Matanga, Hoyee Tom.
The Swahili people too have a saying: Baada ya dhiki, Furaha.
So, by and by as time passes, the trauma wanes. The Soul copes. Life continues. Culture heals and reflects, Culture adapts, compares and struggles on .... as new traumas, thick and fast, are rolled out by the onward march of history.
The Uhuruto affliction for instance has been another culturally speaking, running sore. It has been a cancer of incompetence; it has been a fest of graft at the heart of government. An abomination, yet more or less tolerated. The necessarily moral degeneration which paves the way for a people to tolerate stuff they know in their hearts to be abominations is the socio-pathology we spend so much time investigating.
Only cultural takes will suffice.
In all its challenges, the Mwai Kibaki administration still had flashes of insight which were a throwback to ----or foklorish reminders of----- the brilliance and ability of distant men like Tom Mboya. As drunk and as mentally eroded as Mwai often was, he could still be caught THINKING, and thinking big. The likes of Francis Muthaura and Anyang' Nyong'o, Raila Odinga and John Michuki, even as they squabbled like slayqueens over a corruption-funded purse, were not totally brain-dead to the economic logic of the land. Also, they seemed to have an instinctive inkling of the necessity for a historical mission.
But I am afraid the Jubilee regime of Ouru and Ruto has been a total comatose. There has been no brain activity measurable in this thing. It has all been animal instinct, raw, of the predatory, feeding-frenzy kind. ---Most of the infrastructure white elephants they have been flogging dead by fraud were 'brainchilded' in the first Kibaki administration. That was when the consciousness of what a period of darkness the Moi regime had been, fired the urgency of regenerative thought, fed a surge toward an economic revival.
Exit Kibaki, enter Don Quixote Ouru and Pancha Ruto, the pendulum took a recidivistic lurch back to (Moi-KANU) pre-history. In this respect, one might think of the new word from Algeria: NECROCRACY. The rule by a corpse, or half corpse as Boutaflika they characterised. Well, in Kenya the presidential duo were and are physically very healthy and able-bodied. It is only mentally that they are dead and ideologically, corpses kabisa.
But no worries, the deep state has moved into the vacuum. And the credit lines hold because of geopolitics. The only advantage of the deep state is that they have a survival instinct, they are not merely captive to the overriding frenzy of feeding, that run-away frenzy which has gone suicidal under the 50/50 meat-cuts at the Jubilee table.
Then does the cultural significance of Tom Mboya, and more so his example in government, become the elephant in the cabinet room.
WHY WE MOURN SAFARICOM'S COLLYMORE, GENUINELY.
There is no overstating it. For the mass, the love for Collymore is transactional, a quid pro quo.
SAFCOM is a ruthless company. A monopolist, or near monopolist. But they are not a rip-off game. They have a highly responsive customer service desk. Neither do they promise what they can't, wont and don't deliver ---like KENYA POWER company for instance.
Kenya power has done connections to the last 500m of Kenya. Yes they have, at least officially in their website once and according to DP Ruto, enumerating the magic of Jubilee against Raila's lordship over poverty. Only there is never power in 90% of Kenya, and even if you are in Nairobi, the GDP generator, you gotta know where you live or else you are in the permanent dark zone, or permanent black-out zone. But the bills will be real. And then some. 1. Kenya Power is a thieving racket.
2. But here is the juice about promises made and kept otherwise Modern man, Engineer John Wekesa! Modernised systems too, ostensibly to cater for a Hugely expanded customer base!
But Huh!? Ghenya! Just another cover story like the modernisation at the treasury which introduced HODUMA number, sorry, IFMIS payment platform. Last you heard was counties paying billion bills they didn't incur in Sudan! IFMIS manenos. Modernisation modernisation everywhere, but not a service improved (if you remember the rhythm of that poem about the dryness of throats at sea, amid plenty of water!)
I am saying I don't characterise the Uhuruto regime as BRAIN-DEAD for verbal effect. (the comprador are historically late anyway). But anybody who cares to fathom the primacy of power, or energy, to the process of rapid economic and industrial growth, will know the score: joke with power supply, you are dead meat. An antic civilisation.
So, comparing our Kenya Power Company, I came to brain-dead after taking a look at the power consumption and grid reliance (graphs) of countries like South Korea when they hit the turbo lane up.
No Black outs permitted. Need be, then nuclear power supplements. Hard-boiled leaderships.
And this ---insider rot---- detail will compare to what went on at KRA, the revenue authority. A cartel hijacks the organisation and circumvents due process, corrupts service delivery At KRA we read Now these are a few case studies. But if one has time and goes through all the scandals in public domain .... ... think of phantom dams, eurobonds, defence procurements, NYS'S ..... the systemic control of the financial heights by the cartels of corruption are clear. The CAPTURE is the rule at every hook and nook of state bodies.
That is not a country led by mentally active people. That is a state on the suicide watch, failing.
Thanks to the DRIP-DRIP CREDIT-LINE FROM CHINA, we can mask our comatose inertia.
It is in these circumstances when a people shed genuine tears for a genuine deliverer of service. Like Bobby Collymore of Safaricom.
And when a nation does that, finds a honest feeling somewhere in her recesses, they can not FORGET THE MAN THEY duplicituously PLEDGED TO FORGET. The King of achievement and performance, Thomas Joseph Mboya. He was shot July 5th 1969, exactly 50 years ago today July 5th 2019.
Education? Where the British had spent 50 years training a handful of Africans at their prestigious universities, Tom Mboya was a Big Bang Instrument: 5000 Kenyans in two years to the best American Universities. The name Obama may be the best known of them today.
I mean when Mboya was at the London School of Economics, he informed the Colonial Office he wanted 500 places around British institutes of higher learning for Kenyans, and 1000 places in lower technical colleges. The colonial office didn't bother to respond. So Mboya flew to the United States for an audience with the younger Kennedy. That was another coming man, then. 10000 University places TJ wanted. To his credit the younger Kennedy did not flinch. 'That is a bill, Mister. College costs money in the USA!'
That is the kind of man Mboya was before he was 30 years old. And his ambition was to be president of Kenya. Once you know that, you will understand why we had to forget him, at least try to in the era of abundant mediocrity when we couldn't be ourselves.
Because, thereafter, seeing the things which have become president of Kenya, and the things which, today in 2019, are running for the honour, you may be excused if you thought the gods turned their back on your country! small minds at the top and corruption becoming normal.
Mama Mia! I am all for the Chinese take-over of Gikomba. May be they can build a modern mall there and call it CHIKOMBA.
Think about it, a stadium of a mall at Gikomba. Xenophobia would thaw! Toilets, showers, seats, drainage water&sunproof overheads for Wanjiku.
That is what Mboya had in plan for 1970. I think I will take it up with one of Emperor Xi's clerks at EXIM Bank. Maybe Toi in Kibera and Soko Chijinga too can be Chinised at the same go. ---To remember the intent of TJ Mboya.
'Ok ber ka uuso alot to ubet e brain is in the toilet gi chieng'!'
'it is not good for folks to sit amidst sewage selling edibles,' Tom had clicked his tongue, buying a fruit at a sidewalk in Muthurwa, then not so dirty as now!
POST SCRIPT###The murder of Tom Mboya is a bit awkward in our History books. One side it is a rounded off story. Njenga Njoroge did it and was hanged. On the other side there are other facts which don't tie and surrender it a cold case. Njoroge was a fall guy, and he knew it, and said so at his execution: how about the Big Man?
If there is an old copper in your village he would have told you who actually pulled the trigger if you were interested. And who ordered him to. These bits are not in the history books of the syllabus! Neither are these political murders ----name them--- in the cold-case books of DCI George Kinoti!
Call the FBI to help perhaps!?
Naa. Ask a simple question, see where the best answers lead. Why did the DCI go to the American FBI, and not the Chinese AI who do everything technical for us these days that we firmly look East!?
Call it a colonial hangover and secret pacts, like why Mboya first went to the British for educational help while CHOU EN LAI was touring Africa, offering scholarships and locomotive trains!
Omera! Eeee! Chou en Lai!? Mano to an'go?

OF OUR DEAD CABINET IN NAIROBI
The cabinet no longer meets in quorum you know. The running joke is ... Ruto with his wing apart, Matiang'i with his wing apart, each faction in some basement of some Nairobi hotel, with a frantic and divided intelligence service trying to keep up planting surveillance and recording equipment!
It is a cabinet collapse.
SOLVING AN EYESORE
Our Kilimanjaro of an eyesore named KACHOK, was beyond a deity with the nom de guerre, Jack Ranguma. Amongst us was a man who read African letters. He deciphered us our fate thus: 'Ranungo's people, they can't and wont sweep their own lawns; people, how can they hygienise Kisumu at large?' Our man of letters thereafter wound his nose at us; it was a gesture which didn't bother dare us to a disputation. In deed, we were cowed and shiftily showed obeisance to his intimidating senses: 'gigi yughi, ere kaka yughi dang' kwanyre kendgi, kendo dhi pukre kendgi?'
Okay, this was a sensible point: a cabinet full of thieves could not fight graft, not in a million years. On the contrary, a cabinet of graft was proof the nodes and tentacles of the cartel had punctured the defences and embedded at the very vitals of public administration. It became a waiting game for the saviour of the situation, may be a deity masked as Anyang' Nyong'o.
We betted how long it would take His Highness, the Emeritus deity Anyang', to banish the KACHOK DUMPSITE to a distant memory. The great professor did come in deed, but spending more time in hospital beds than his work desk, the verdict became a mocking Ranguma II. More a change in style than substance. Anyang' Nyong'o wasn't incompetent, he was just absent, or present but on sick leave, but the result was the vacuum became filled with incompetence, inertia and old school recidivism. Kisumu has a long history of parasitic and corrupted administrations. In fact Kisumu's modern rise was as a colonial administration centre. Only in part does it fulfil her original mandate: EXCHANGE MARKET. For Kisumu's true meaning is MARKET PLACE. --Kar-Kisuma.
That is why some of us advance a cultural and economic argument to move political adminstration from Kisumu. So that she can revert to her historical mission: that is the 'who-re' of Lake Victoria so punned. You know, like neither New York nor Shanghai, economic power houses, are the political capitals of their countries. Politicians tend to get in the way of business. For that reason Nairobi too should divorce public adminstration from herself, remain a CAPIAL city and banish the parasitic politicians and parliament back to Machakos, their original seat! Nairobi commerce can then dedicate herself to money, and managing the East and Central Africa economic zone, including Somalia and Ethiopia. The city can't do that with things like Ouru, Ruto and Raila and their surrugates in fiefdomage.
Imagine the kind of things we now hear the goats wanted Bob Collymore of Safaricom to do!
More about these later.
Our man of letters insisted we understand the local first, to understand the distant. That is 2018.
But earlier on, in 2013 Memory is a dangerous thing. That is why colonialism must destroy the culture of her subjects or, failing that, hijack and infesst it with its own codes of and norms like a virus does the process of protein synthesis in a cell.
The local we understood well. If you are from Kerio Valley, see your phantom dam. and marvel.
And so today, with the Mount Kenya half of the 50/50 Jubilee cabinet arrangement accused of plotting the murder of their in-coming Kalenjin boss, the Hustler Deity, I remember our man of letters on the expired regime of Jack Ranungo Nyangumo, over Kisumu county: a cabinet of thieves will do what thieves do best. A band of pirates will do what pirates do best. And our ODM is the organisation of the bandit bourgeoisie.
Koro nyathi thuol nyaka bed abeda thuol.
Our man of tables, say the specialist in statistics and probabilities, was tasked to develop an index, say a corruption scale against which every minister could be scored. He just shrugged and informed if there would be objections if his methodology mirrored or was a variation of the well known International Transparency Index. That index has a habit of confining African giants like Nigeria and Kenya to the worst performances.
The prediction by our man of tables was Uhuru's cabinet would be a lurch into cannibalism.
THE MURDER PLOT AGAINST RUTO
But murder of Ruto didn't feature. The model did not predict it. Too risky, too adventurous stupid. The model only instructed The Hustler King would loot to his best while in the background, letting Ouru carry the blame as the final, responsible authority. ---But, howebeit, the surprises of life, the remains of the once great bromance, Uhuruto, is now not just a super cabinet of graft lords, but murder plotters within the believers in the tyranny of numbers.
An enfant terribles called Dennis Itumbi was waving CD-ROM copies in court, (not USB nor SD memory sticks mark you!), daring the Judge to air them in public. But the Judge was too scared --or too compromised----- to be interested in Truthology. The court didn't call Itumbi's bluff! Let us hope Itumbi&Co made more copies, since the copy he flashed in court would easily be confiscated behind the scenes, and the would-be incriminating evidence, erased, and lost forever.
How did it come to that? Uhuru Kenyatta's handpicks plotting his running mate's murder?
1. Kenya is no stranger to political murders, neither is the world of succession battles. There is therefore no shock here, there is only need to understand WHY. And if it is all a hoax, a huge wolf cry, also why.
Well, ur man of the oracular letters, long ago (when the issue of Madam-R and the Kachok Eyesore was hot) advised us to unravel the local Jack, Ranungo Ranguma, to therefrom understand distant Nairobi (where the Uhuruto monster was holding nest and hatching Mega scandals). -------This is the category: if you understand your marriage, then whenever you see newly weds vow it is for till death do them part, as in Uhuru kumi, Ruto kumi, Jubilee 100, or KANU forever years, yours is to slyly interrogate the school of marital affairs they went to, which is so heavenly. Of course sometimes they do live happily forever after, but it is a give and take which requires an empathy and patience beyond political practice in a material world.
Ouru Kenyatta may be the richest man in Kenya, and even the Commander in Chief of whatever, all these being stuff which theoretically confers upon him imperial powers; but ALAS, a looting cartel knows when to stop flagging a dead horse. So, me says, there is a hardball, hardnosed hunt for a successor, possibly to be in place even before 2022.
Ouru's regime is now essentially a ghost ship. The only reason Ouru is still president is because the succession issue has not been settled. He is like a dead mother carrying a live baby. Surgeons at work, and fleet-handed they better be. (So that the UHUR part dies, the UTO remains!) damaged but alive.
POST MORTERM
Only one detail still bothers me about the now sunken Uhuru presidency. Did Ouru at any one time take himself seriously as president and CiC, or was he, as Pu Yi, the last emperor of China, resigned to his fate of always being the puppet in a historical show?
