Miguna the KShs 33 million "Bark-peeler" has fled Kenya to evade police dragnet and countless lawsuits around his sleaze-filled hate memoirs which speak like a gossip story of a jilted lover about to commit a crime of passion.
Developing story.......

It appears someone within the NMG has leaked to Miguna that Sarah Elderkin will be publishing her chapter-by-chapter rebuttals of the peeling book next week.
Rather than be "on the bench" and tell-off Ms. Elderkin, Miguna is rumoured to have chosen the easier way out. The heat was becoming unbearable. Apply for political asylum with the Canadian government which am told pays and settles such individuals at Canadian tax payer expense.
Effectively, Miguna is now a fugitive......

I was at Miguna's house all afternoon yesterday. He was busy doing interviews with the local and international media while at the same time supervising the shipping out of dozens of books in crazy demand at bookstores like Bookstop and Prestige.
To all, he made no secret of the fact that he was traveling out of the country to Canada for a month- taking his family on holiday to their second home, Canada. He told me about this trip about a month ago. Some of you may not believe this, but there are folks who actually book their flights in advance before rushing to a busy international airport with their family in tow.
Given the pressures he has been through while composing his book, I personally think this vacation was long overdue.
That is one of the first things I told Adongo Ogony when I went to welcome him hours upon Adongo's arrival from Canada.
He left via the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport which is staffed, by among others police officers, members of Kajwang's immigration ministry, Gichangi's NSIS and other state institutions. Why did they NOT arrest him if he was in fact a fleeing fugitive?
I am pinning all these anti-Miguna tirades as announcements to exhibit the depth to which some of us have sunk in our quest to kick Miguna to the kerb.
Miguna is not the coward some of you portray him to be.
Look for him in Nairobi in about a month and I hope that the cops will be on hand to arrest him for writing a book that some of you disagree with.
If some of you had your way, I am sure some of you would bay for his blood as he is taken to Uhuru Park at midday to be hung, drawn, quartered and roasted as nyama choma.

Githongo was a hero when he ran to London, except to the now PNU diehards.
Miguna is a hero when he runs to Canada, except to the ODM diehards.
This is very interesting.

How convenient. The trip to Canada happens to be on the very day that the police are heading to his home to summon him to record a statement on his wild allegations. Let's face it, the man is fleeing the country to avoid having to answer to the public. Let's wait and see if he will be back in a month like he claims. Like I said earlier, your pal has too much aggression, some contact sports during his youth would have done him good.

Like I said earlier, your pal has too much aggression, some contact sports during his youth would have done him good. Genius:I have a question for you dear genius. How did Miguna know, a MONTH AGO when he was booking his ticket to Toronto, that the police were heading to his home on Sunday, July 16, 2012? Do some of you really believe Miguna wuod Miguna is a marabout, a sangoma, an astrologer, a clairvoyant who can accurately PREDICT the hour and the minute when he is collared by the karau IN THE FUTURE? I was at his house for several hours yesterday. I left about an hour before he headed to the airport which was in the evening. Several people: the Nation media crew; the Capital FM crew; a person from BBC; one of the proprietors of a local bookstore; a young law student; several relatives; couriers; mechanics were milling around his home. Was that demeanour of a hunted man, scared shitless by an imminent arrest and interrogation session? I did not hear an allegedly frightened Miguna furtively whisper in my ear: "Hey Oloo, I must flee to to Canada right away. The cops will be here anytime now."How ridiculous can some of you get? !!!! OO come on brother, you know how this looks. How could Miguna Miguna have forgotten to tell all and sundry that he is going to Canada on Vacation? How? With the many interviews and opportunities he had of telling people on the off chance that some of us might interpret this as running away now that things are becoming elephant...I don't buy it...

Mbuta;Wachana na Oloo. Okhunyanye asked him a simple question and he went into an irrelevant tirade. That question still remains. Mrembo has 'clinically' exposed his 'inaccuracies'. Poor Kaburwo - he must now write an essay on how he has fought for reforms. Not every question should be answered by re-stating how much one suffered in exile or fought for reforms! Clearly, Miguna had planned his escape to a tee. He had promised us he would be here to deal with legal challenges. Come, baby, come; he said. He omitted to say, come to Canada. Miguna’s primary problems with the law arise out of his reckless and baseless statements in the media. He said on camera that he had evidence on post-election violence that he was withholding, as long as all those he was protecting from the ICC kissed his feet. Why would't the law be interested in such a person? The people he was accusing have called his bluff... and now he has vanished. The coward!

Does Miguna call a press conference to announce whenever he is going to take a shower, call an auntie or buy bananas in Kiambu? Why would he feel COMPELLED to inform the entire world when he is taking his family on holiday? But Mbuta, you and I know that some of you on Jukwaa seem to have nothing to do with their lives except unleashing a brand new anti-Miguna thread every half hour. Onyango Oloo

I highly doubt the 'ODM die-hards' control repressionist state security today as the PNU die-hards did when Githongo ran. But I have not seen overwhelming support for Miguna from 'PNU diehards'. Maybe it will come. In any case, nobody had arrested Miguna, or really wanted to. Tobiko wanted a statement regarding the claims around PEV and Caroli was suing for defamation. I thought Miguna was going to teach us law.

Onyango OlooOO, stick to the issue at hand please, for starters, I don't buy the whole Miguna had a long planned vacation. And no, I don't think Kenyans care whether Miguna takes a shower and when, but they'd expect that when he dares someone to "come baby come",he cannot then turn around and hurriedly go on vacation without so much as a heads up, especially when he had every opportunity to say so...you know...by the way, just so you don't think I ran away, I will be taking my family on Vacation for a month...

Taken family on holiday? But schools have not yet closed, not so?
Further, the impression he gave was that he's available and ready to take on those who'd take him to court and even said he'd represent himself, and Caroli has promptly done so.
I don't believe its coincidence that the holiday was due on the very day when Tobiko announced he should record a statement.

And OO, is there a chance, however remote, that you are being set up for a huge fall and/or disapointment by Miguna Miguna, your friendship of 20+ years not withstanding? Are you sure that 6 months from now, you wouldn't be coming to Jukwaa and telling us that you really didn't know Miguna, coz one thing is for certain, you never know someone until you know them...

When all is written, your kowtowing to the worst of human flaws and idiocy (in MM) will definitely be a blot on your reform credentials.
